I dont think you need a full size truck for one kid seat lol

minutemenapparel

Screw the front seat passengers comfort, it’s all about baby right now. But yeah putting the car seat in the middle can help especially if mama wants to sit in the back with baby. More difficult to get the baby seat out tho.

KyloRem

I have a two week old as well, and let me just say now is not the best time to make big decisions haha.. get some rest and let things settle a bit and then see what you are thinking.

SiggySiggy69

Yep, my baby just turned 1 month old. Honestly, the front seat comfort is awful with a car seat but my wife sits behind me but luckily my big ass hugs the dash (it’s what’s comfortable for me) and allows enough space for her. I agree with waiting it out. Sleep is at an all time low, stress is at an all time high and life is coming at you fast. Wait it out a bit then adjust.

big_red9295

We installed are car seat in the middle. Made a world of difference.

ekaitxa

I have had 2 rear facing and 1 front facing in a fucking PRIUS for about 2-3 years. You'll be fine in a frontier! I would trade my Prius in for a frontier any day, but I'm cheap and hate car payments.

Which_Quantity

Prius has 1.6 inches more rear leg room than a frontier. You were better off with car seats in the Prius.

PoPLoCkNDr0P

Before you know it, baby will be forward facing and youll have all the room you need! I’d recommend making it work best you can for the year or so they need to be rear facing. My rear facing seat is a little tight, forward facing seat everyone has plenty of room.

Stouts_Sours_Hefs

> making it work best you can for the year or so they need to be rear facing. Lol dude please do not turn your kid around after they turn 1. It's recommended they stay rear facing until they are at least 40 pounds. But it's best to leave them that way for as long as possible as long as they're sitting comfortably. Some wait until the age of 4. Your kid's life is more important than having a bit more leg room.

Oh shit my kids might be fat

ace11run2000

This is the most important comment here.

stale_cum

I have a 17 month old and keep a car seat in my truck at all times. I can see how on longer trips it can be uncomfortable but even with a 45 minute trip to the in-laws everyone is comfortable in the truck. My wife is 5'4 but even the times when I have a taller passenger in the front they never really complained. Ultimately, you know what's best for you and your family but I think at least trying out your vehicle with a baby first might surprise you.

Far-Win4103

I had the same issue with my 2022 pro 4x. Daughter was born car seat wouldn’t fit behind either seat, were both 6 feet. Went back to Nissan dealer they offered me 30,000 in trade in. Truck is fully loaded with every option. I said F this. Decided to just run the car seat in the middle back seat. Works great.

GiantSequoiaTree

There smaller car seats or they all same dimensions?

ace11run2000

The middle seat is usually the safest place for a car seat.

NotEnoughBullShits

That’s exactly what I would do.

ItzSmiff

KBB has always been pretty accurate on all of my trade ins.

RoosterzRevenge

Trade for a Titan, Nissan is offering 0% for 60 months along with some incentive money you may qualify for.

GiantSequoiaTree

0%? Here in Canada lowest We're getting its 5% across-the-board the whole term.

sdr90137

Where can i find this incentive money information

Temporary-Cricket455

Buy a slim fit car seat and put it in the middle of the rear seat. It will fit between both seats all the way back.

stumphead11

I'm in a similar situation right now, and it's not looking good at all for resale. The trade in offers I've gotten from dealerships are 9k less than I paid last year, and I've had almost no private party interest.

vbopp8

Bro there are people with 3 car seats in the back of there’s. You have the wrong car seat

WolfPackLeader95

My brother in law has a Tacoma which is smaller, has less legroom and he was able to fit 3 car seats in there and all his kids fit comfortably. I think OP is just trying to convince himself he needs a bigger truck.

ats1287

Yeah I don’t wanna hate here but I have two kids in the back in car seats and there’s plenty of room. That being said, I’m sure more room is more comfortable for everybody but my kids have been fine and love it.

Temporary-Cricket455

Can confirm. That’s my comment. Leaving on a 2 week vacation tomorrow in the truck with 3 kids in tow (2 forward facing and 1 rear facing).

vbopp8

I have a second one on the way so looking at that slim fit center seat myself 😂

Temporary-Cricket455

Absolutely need that seat! We are moving it to the middle for this trip so the passenger and driver can recline. Worth noting, I’m 6’4” tall and my SO is 5’7” tall. I can drive with the seat ALL the way back with the forward facing kids behind the seats and the rear facing in the middle.
