The landlord can still just sell the house/apartment and keep the money while you're the one forced to get your shit together and find a new place to live.
because we should encourage businesses to actually have enough capital to be in business. if you can’t pay your overhead or pay your workers a living wage, you shouldn’t be in business. my company keeps about 2 1/2 months to pay everyone and pay all overhead, including the owners’ salaries.
I’d love to see that, but unfortunately in the last decade banks have been giving out Buy to Let mortgages like candy to any landlord/leech wannabe.
So if a crash happens these landlords aren’t really going to be affected that much as they only pay the interest and most have short term contracts. The banks will take the bigger hit when the property value goes down during a crash.
