The Sites fire is going to have to jump a pretty large barren stretch in order to enter Lake County to the west and south. Currently, the fire is most active on the northeast side, with a small amount of creep to the west. This is not another Camp Fire, but still a reason to be vigilant as it means fire season is here for real.
This is such a great app. I also use FlightRadar24 to watch the Sky Boss plane. I can see the fire’s outline in real-time because the sky boss calls in and directs the water dropping planes. Tankers and heavy tankers (there’s a DC-10 converted to drop retardant).

I didn’t realize that there were so many fires burning. Hope we don’t have another Camp Fire… 🙏
