As others have said, Bare Oaks is great, and you certainly won't have anyone taking your picture.

The vibe is more relaxed, more family....less pool bar and adult only hang out
Also Ponderosa being clothing optional felt weird being fully naked when a majority of park goers are fully clothed.
I haven't heard much about Lilly Valley, but I would certainly take the extra drive for Bare oaks any day.
Hmm, two hours (roughly) to Niagara from Bare Oaks, so not HORRIBLE if we just day trip to the Falls and spend the rest of the weekend at the resort.
But about an hour longer of a drive to get to from our house.
Lilly Valley is small, kind of rundown. It’s very conveniently located crossing into Canada from Buffalo, about a mile from the Peace Bridge. Starting from elsewhere in Canada, Bare Oaks or Ponderosa would be more worth a long trip.
Lilly Valley has been on life support for several years. It was open last summer. The place wouldn't survive without single men. Quite a few are gay. This they would not be interested in hooking up with your wife.
Ponderosa also has quite a few single men as does Bare Oaks. At Bare Oaks, there are quite a few single women to help balance out the ratio.
I mean, single guys exist and can go to the clubs, but if the club allows phones, that's a different ball of twine.
But it's sounding like Lilly is going to get crossed off the list, which puts Ponderosa on the list.
I did look, there's no US-side clubs that are close-ish to Niagara...
Ponderosa has a nice outdoor pool. They were ripping it out and redoing it last fall. The indoor pool is nice too. I thought they could do a little better job maintaining the outdoor game courts.
Bare Oaks is a nice drive from the Falls. Take a day and explore the Niagara Escarpment on your drive north. Stay over at Ponderosa maybe and then avoid Toronto by continuing up the Escarpment and then head east to Bare Oaks via Newmarket. Not a bad two lane highway trip.
If you're crossing at Sarnia, Ponderosa is your closest bet. You have to practically pass it to get to either of the other clubs.
Bare Oaks and Ponderosa are different but both are good options. There have been a lot of accurate descriptions of both. To get to Bare Oaks from the west end of the province, take the 407 highway. The toll will be $20-30 each way but it will cut a lot of time off your trip. It will still be an extra 90 min driving compared to Ponderosa though.
I haven't been to the Ponderosa for a while but in the summer it's very nice. Good facilities, lots of people. Phones are not allowed in the pool areas. I doubt you'll have any issues there with people taking pics.
Bare Oaks is a little more rustic but it's a really great place that lives and breathes the naturist philosophy.
I don’t know anything about Lilly Valley but your wife won’t have to worry about about being photographed at proper nudist resorts. That kind of activity will get you thrown out. Resorts want to create a safe environment where people feel comfortable.
We haven’t been to a resort where cell phones were allowed…so we weren’t concerned…lots of awesome people to meet, been to ponderosa, bare oaks, and when on vacation, several in Arizona….does Michigan have good spots we could try?
I've been a few times and camped there. It was great, but it was a very long time ago. The owner has since died. I'm not not sure who owns it now or what the state of things is.

We're in the USA and would be crossing in Sarnia. We've looked at Bare Oaks, but not for this trip, it's way too much of a drive to get to Niagara.
Ponderosa is ok, bare oaks has a better atmosphere we think….for your future planning!….what age group are you in?

Bare Oaks is a long way away from Niagara Falls and you have miles and miles of Toronto traffic to go through.
The owners replied to a Google review saying they will reopen in May 2024.
They actually have another Facebook that gets updated regularly. Opening day is May 5th.

There is a strange culture at Ponderosa. They are dressed (some in elegant eveningware) fir indoor clubhouse events, even in the summer.

Yeah, the one we go to that's more local to us, you don't see cell phones out and about.
