If you ever read the inner notes of The MasterPlan, there is a brilliant line about how the song writer isn't often the best judge of their own songs....
Yeah obviously I understand where he's coming from. He sees everything differently. But I think it's a pretty great thing that a songwriter deems some of their stuff to be complete dogshit - and the fans still love it. Sign of a great songwriter and band.
It’s absolutely true too. You’re never going to be 100 percent happy with the songs you write. And like other people, you’ll have moments where you dig them or dislike them the next. Songwriters also have the added burden of hearing them during the whole process and thinking of what they could’ve done better, etc. So we get the benefit of hearing the “final” version that first time!
It was more about how Noel used several of his best tracks as B Sides. He has mused how if he saved the b-sides from Morning Glory for its follow up, it would have been a stronger album than Be Here Now, though I'm sure Round Are Way would be a lot more annoying as an album track.
One of the best songs on a personal favourite album of mine. While it does tend to go on a bit, it's got so much packed into every second that I don't really get bored listening to it. The song's theme of gratitude in bad times and to keep moving makes it one I put on if I'm having a bad day and I need a walk. I think it still holds up 24 years on and the unplugged version is also amazing!
It’s a masterpiece. Great songwriting and production.

Perfect song and probably the most particular in all of Oasis catalogue. Live versions are fantastic, especially early 2000 (March-April) with Liam easily sustaining the high notes. Epic
cant remeber what show it is but theres this time the song was done live and im sure liam was drunk and just rambling about anything and everything during the song and i thought it was so well timed
Underrated song! Wish we got a sde of this and the other 2000s albums, I’d love to have a copy of this song’s mtv version, which I personally prefer.

It's good but the live version from Wembley is phenomenal, one of Liams vest vocals ever.
Maida Vale version is even better
2nd night? WHOOOO DEALSSSSS DRUGSSSS
"There's nothing more to be if you can be the remedy who heals love" - one of the best oasis lyric
It is a total joy to listen to this with headphones. The production on this one is amazing. Too bad Noel disowned this song.
Sounds like 3 Liams in one ear and two Noels in the other. Amazing vocal harmonies
How he disowned it? (genuine question)
He did call SOTSOG a mistake sometime in his early solo career.
He doesn't know what he's talking about. Great tunes.

He's coping because of divorce with Meg. Also Bone and Guigsy left the band during the recording of SOTSOG.
Don’t sweat it too much — he disowned Be Here Now in its entirety . . . so take all Noelish disownments with a grain of salt.
Oooohhh yeah, should've known.
one of my top 5 oasis songs don’t understand why it never was really popular

Love this song. All I can hear now though is the inebriated Liam version who deals drugs I’ve got drugs 😂😭
I love SOTSOG. I’d make a couple of changes to the playlist, but I could say that for any of their albums tbh.
How did the Let’s All Make Believe not make the album from those sessions? Arguably their best song from that era
It literally turned me into an Oasis ultra. It’s that good. A personal favourite that meant a lot to me and helped me during a complicated time. ❤️
I love this song every second of it brings me joy I don't know why it just resonates with me and makes a perfect day better
I just recently put my finger on where that distorted-piano riff was nicked from - the outro of “Strawberry Fields Forever” by the Beatles.
What!! Listening now
Not a direct sample, but a keen imitation.
Absolutely love the song.... wish they went this psychedelic more often.
Love this track!! Vocals sound so good on it.
Just meh.
I like it, good song, but I wouldn't put it in the top tier.

It’s a really good song, it feels like a classic Oasis song but just done in a brand new style just like the best moments from SOTSOG.
Decent tune
Good vocal performance from Liam on this one
Perfect song and probably the most particular in all of Oasis catalogue. Live versions are fantastic, especially early 2000 (March-April) with Liam easily sustaining the high notes. Epic
Was something a bit different for the album, I like it
IMO their best song after Live Forever
I love this song. It’s one of my go to driving songs in the summer. Just feels like it brightens up your day.
Love it.
I really like it and feel it’s very underrated
Thank you for the sun
Belter , always loved it
Underrated song and underrated album.
Fantastic song. Live version @ Wembley is much better IMO. To me, the chord structure sounds similar to Soldier On from DOYS.
This song is amazing, it’s like a religious experience
FTM version is great. SOTOG has a vibe I dig
One of my top 3 Oasis songs
cant remeber what show it is but theres this time the song was done live and im sure liam was drunk and just rambling about anything and everything during the song and i thought it was so well timed
Love this song..I do prefer the live version on F2M
A personal favorite and one of the best on a great album. Listened to it earlier tonight.
Biblical
Bloody brilliant
“I ain’t no celebrity. I ain’t no fanny. I ain’t no dickhead, man. I’m a fucking rockstar and I don’t arse about”

For sure. Was my favourite song in May absolutely adore the tune. Very underrated
Liked this version with Noel in driver seat. [noel-who feels love](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EzCKQWRIOdo&pp=ygUOb2FzaXMgc3RlcCBvdXQ%3D)
Was a good album track, shouldn't have been a single though
Easily their worst single and in their bottom five songs. Dirge.
