Visited my Dad yesterday and he had a crack at Gorn... As he was trying to defeat a downed opponent I was like "Dad you can't *pat* them to death, put some power into it!"
Then I look at my phone for a second and hear this loud *THUMP* and Dad swearing... I didn't realise there was a coffee table just over the side of the sofa where he was standing, heh. If I hadn't said anything he would've only lightly tapped it!
I love it when people get trapped into a super inconvenient position due to poor guardian centering and are like, “holy shit this game is an intense workout, it’s just nonstop squat”
I love it when people get trapped into a super inconvenient marriage where the wife needs to do this to husband in order for her to feel better about herself.
May have started out further away but it's easy to lost where you are sometimes. If it was mine I would have either moved the table or made him move back for sure though. That's scary close, just an accident waiting to happen. At least he is having fun with her gift though!
He's playing beatsaber though, I don't understand how he ended up in that position. Sure you need to duck to avoid walls sometimes but I've never had to fully crouch for that and even if I did I would then have to stand back up for the blocks to be at normal height. Plus he certainly didn't walk forward playing beatsaber either as there is no reason to.
It almost seems like he chose to play this way...
Well some people do move around between songs and stuff. Maybe talking to his wife about how she can play after one more song and kind of shuffling back and forth then never actually letting her play. Just one more!
Possible the guardian is set incorrectly, had a glitch where when I was making my guardian, the floor would be incorrect all the time like 1.5 ft above where I set it. Or in the settings they set the auto height to a fixed height.
Yeah it's insane. He could be in the same spot, facing the same direction, yet be standing and not have to worry about hitting the table with his hands.
I think a lot of people's living room space, including chairs couches and tables , are arranged for more space open towards the tv... That's what I've noticed! Same for me!
The space is the same either way, put the TV to your back
This doesn't work with fighting games though where accidents happen most frequently, since "forward" changes as you turn a lot
Huh, that's funny. I never realized it before, but yeah, most videos online show people facing the TV. Meanwhile I've always naturally faced away from the TV so that I don't hit it haha
Haha, I get what you’re saying here. I do own a robe. However, I begged for this for months and he surprised me with it over our Christmas break when I was battling some depression. I’m just now starting to actually play with it. I mean, “we” are.
sounds like a potential divorce.
why do married couples do this shit to each other?
marry someone you can't communicate with, so it gets to the point where you take a video of yourself making him look like a selfish manchild prick? Why perpetuate that this type of passive aggressive stuff is ok? Was it too hard to tell him "honey, it's my gift and it's not cool that I'm just sitting here on the couch doing nothing but watching you enjoy it."
unless you have no problem with what he's doing and he's cute in his own way and you LIKE that about him.
In which case, I guess you just saw this as a chance to make him look like an idiot in public with some bonus RBF on the side.
PSA: BE CAREFUL WHO YOU MARRY. IF THE COMMUNICATION ISN'T HEALTHY, THIS IS WHAT AWAITS YOU.
Dude, there's no communication issue here. We're having fun on a device she asked for, and we were taking turns. Don't judge a marriage on a 10 second clip that, in my opinion, is hilarious.
Source: am her husband
Fucking seriously? What a dick comment on an amusing 10 second video. Way to pass judgement on people you have no clue about. Not everyone is in a bad relationship.
Step dad did this with an Xbox for their room, told my mom it was for Netflix on the tv, but Christmas was almost a month ago and I still haven’t heard anything but Minecraft back there. 😂😂😂
Best thing to do would be get a yoga mat to use and some non slip socks. That way you know where you are by if you are on the mat or not. As for him using it I won’t pass judgement as long as she also enjoys it and I feel she could.
Yoga mat is clutch! I picked one up for $5 and it saves me a ton of anxiety about hitting stuff. I’m able to get lost in a game and not be constantly checking my surroundings.
Currently looking for solutions to not getting surprised by my cats jumping at me 😂 you’d think my screams of terror would deter them, but it seems to only encourage them lol
The other common thing people do is use a fan blowing on them to tell which direction is in front of them while in VR. That way they can aim away from hitting the TV.
I never understand these sorts of posts. Like, "my partner is enjoying themselves and this makes me angry".
Like, I get that it's a gift, but you're married, you share things, and you don't get huffy about it because you're an adult in a serious grown up relationship.
Your partner probably knows that you weren't using it at the time they started, and would happily pass it over if they knew you wanted a go, because they're an adult too.
This whole "I resent my partner" vibe I see everywhere online is WEIRD, man. You're supposed to love them and find joy in their happiness, not be bitter and resentful.
Well then sorry. Perhaps yours is the rare genuine one. Which is why I'm so tired of other fakes that everyone seems to fall for on social media, makes genuine ones look fake when they're not.
I'm just going to assume the husband is a genuine piece of crap in his everyday life to her.
That's the only way I can justify that she's given in to the trope of a wife letting the whole world see how stupid and ridiculous and tiring her husband is.
Nah. They can just do what this lady did and record you for the whole world to see how stupid you look. Public shaming is better than communicating that annoyance
Totally a Homer Simpsons bowling ball situation!
If you didn't actually ask for that, and he just happened to buy it for you.... ummm.... I think your husband is a selfish POS... I had a buddy who used to buy his SO video game stuff, and she never really played... it was obvious that it was for himself.... Let's just say that the relationship did not last!
I'm kind of guilty of this. I bought family members their own quests so I would have someone to play with. The difference being I had my own to use. Your husband bought this for him to use. Just tell him it's yours and you want to play it. He will go get his own. That's what he gets for being slick. He can pay double.
How do people do that? I get if he didnt have space in the room or in case he was inside of a simrig but...... It looks like he was looking at a friggin tv instead of headset.
Empty the space and reread the f manual. Thank you and Good luck in your Journey.
He looked way too close to that table and…yep…
It was giving me anxiety, I thought he was going to smash the controllers or something XD

It's like Homer's Bowling ball gift for Marge that says "Homer"
I've been calling these "bowling ball presents" since that episode first aired
Your gift is going to keep on giving, I'm thinking a new TV in the near future too!
I love it when people get trapped into a super inconvenient position due to poor guardian centering and are like, “holy shit this game is an intense workout, it’s just nonstop squat”
I do the squat on purpose! Great workout. Doing it because the guardian is whacky isn't fun though
I love it when people get trapped into a super inconvenient marriage where the wife needs to do this to husband in order for her to feel better about herself.
Who hurt you?
Better move that table or he's breaking his hand on it. 😆
I moved it once! Lol!
Well, I guess he's gonna learn the hard way then. 😆
I definitely did NOT crack a bone in my hand while playing Echo Arena :)
Literally the only reason I don’t play echo arena is cuz I hit something every time
The gift is you can go get some peace and quiet...
As he yells... "Ow what the hell!"
Optional entertainment if you decide to watch
Ahh, finally some peace and qu- OWW WHAT THE HELL
YTF is he playing crouched and so damn close to the tv when he has the entire living room?
May have started out further away but it's easy to lost where you are sometimes. If it was mine I would have either moved the table or made him move back for sure though. That's scary close, just an accident waiting to happen. At least he is having fun with her gift though!
Does quest 2 not have guardian?
Of course it does.
He's playing beatsaber though, I don't understand how he ended up in that position. Isn't it funny how he, like everyone else, just unconsciously faces the TV even though there's no need to do so? I did the same thing!
This. The simple solution to broken TVs is: *face away from the damn TV!*
I think a lot of people's living room space, including chairs couches and tables , are arranged for more space open towards the tv... That's what I've noticed! Same for me!
Ha, great point, I hadn't thought of that!
The space is the same either way, put the TV to your back This doesn't work with fighting games though where accidents happen most frequently, since "forward" changes as you turn a lot
Huh, that's funny. I never realized it before, but yeah, most videos online show people facing the TV. Meanwhile I've always naturally faced away from the TV so that I don't hit it haha
My first vr system was ps vr so I got used to facing the tv all the time and I havent been able to shake it off lol
That's odd... starting with wired PCVR I faced away naturally so the cable ran down my back
I never really thought of doing that because my tv was the best place to put the ps camera
OH I read PCVR, but you had PSVR... yeah PSVR you have to face the system
It's alright haha
This is why I bought one for myself as a Christmas present instead of pretending that it was for someone else lol
/r/VRtoER
Get yourself something nice for his christmas gift.
[удалено]
Agreed. My vote is on: a better husband so she doesn't have to do this kind of stuff to her man publicly.
gross, shut up
not standing up?
well, this just begs the question... did you already have a robe?
Haha, I get what you’re saying here. I do own a robe. However, I begged for this for months and he surprised me with it over our Christmas break when I was battling some depression. I’m just now starting to actually play with it. I mean, “we” are.
Check out "Paper Beast" if you're feelin down. Super chill and kinda therapeutic.
huh, what?
[удалено]
Ah, okay. Thanks for clearing that up. First time ever I'm hearing this.
This will help 😝 https://youtu.be/FOVCtUdaMCU
k, thanks
Seeing how close he was to the TV gives me anxiety.
Thats like 2 meters? Easily plenty enough
OUR christmas gift
You and my wife are virtual twins. She makes exactly the same face when I'm playing Gun Club VR!
Sounds like a date night!

Judgey-wudgey. I believe the website you’re looking for is Facebook.com
Dude, there's no communication issue here. We're having fun on a device she asked for, and we were taking turns. Don't judge a marriage on a 10 second clip that, in my opinion, is hilarious. Source: am her husband
Yeah boss, I have that projector you ordered, where do you want me to put it?
Fucking seriously? What a dick comment on an amusing 10 second video. Way to pass judgement on people you have no clue about. Not everyone is in a bad relationship.
Razego, more like Ragezo, am I right? :D
Step dad did this with an Xbox for their room, told my mom it was for Netflix on the tv, but Christmas was almost a month ago and I still haven’t heard anything but Minecraft back there. 😂😂😂
You should get him a nice new lady's winter coat as a late Christmas gift
why?
So she looks pretty for him. duuh
Why are you equating a gendered gift with a non-gendered one?
[удалено]
Why are you assuming it's deliberate?
Ha?
never mind then
He bought a gift for "her" that was more for him, so she should buy a gift for "him" that's plainly for her
Just because he’s also enjoying it doesn’t mean she does not. That’s just an assumption.
Best thing to do would be get a yoga mat to use and some non slip socks. That way you know where you are by if you are on the mat or not. As for him using it I won’t pass judgement as long as she also enjoys it and I feel she could.

That is a great idea!
The other common thing people do is use a fan blowing on them to tell which direction is in front of them while in VR. That way they can aim away from hitting the TV.
I saw that hit coming.
Vr is so fun. Ive had mine for about 2 months and i have played every day since.
Why are TVs like magnets, and ppl in these videos magically gravitate towards it no matter what
Please, get a better Guardian setup, he's way too close from the table :v
i would marry him again and again, life after life.
Me too. He’s the Ren to my Stimpy.
I bought myself the quest 2 after Christmas... Now my mom plays more beat saber than myself 😂
This is the way
do DOOO do DOO do DOOO
Who kneels for beat saber?
Why is he on his knees
You just watched a video where this woman used her husband's enthusiasm to shame him. Why WOULDN'T he be on his knees?
There’s a cross right in front of him.
Go tip him over
:(
Don't worry you're going to be spending a few hundred dollars on a new TV and probably some money on a new controller soon with how he's playing.
I never understand these sorts of posts. Like, "my partner is enjoying themselves and this makes me angry". I wasn’t really annoyed, we were taking turns and I make a sarcastic video. Relax.
You're partner probably knows that you assume too much.
Someone is having a bad day.
Well something has to bring joy to his life
Are you implying the wife doesn't?
That woman is a bundle of joy.
The knights in shining armor have arrived
Tired of fake vids.
Honestly I was snap chatting videos of him dancing to some of our friends, this being one of them, and the timing just happened to be perfect.
Well then sorry. Perhaps yours is the rare genuine one. Which is why I'm so tired of other fakes that everyone seems to fall for on social media, makes genuine ones look fake when they're not.
It's not fake. That is a genuine RBF on her.
I'm just going to assume the husband is a genuine piece of crap in his everyday life to her. That's the only way I can justify that she's given in to the trope of a wife letting the whole world see how stupid and ridiculous and tiring her husband is.
chill out bro
huh?
How’s your insurance for hand fractures?
Classic lol
Thats his quest now...
I would never use VR with someone else in the room :) its way too annoying
Nah. They can just do what this lady did and record you for the whole world to see how stupid you look. Public shaming is better than communicating that annoyance
Man, who hurt you?
I suspect it was a joke and he was in on it , their relationship would pretty much over if she was being malicious
Just a FYI your chess set is set up incorrectly
Your attention to detail is incredible.
I personally would have already modded the crap out of beatsaber. More songs to play and cooler effects.
Yep mine got a a PS4 for my first year as a mother.... he's an idiot too
I love this genre of video, just people mad at their partners for having fun
Lucky. My brother doesn’t let me touch his 😆
ey let the poor man have some fun :(
Glad to see you are enjoying it :P
Why do people orient their view to face TOWARD the TV?! Do a 180 and re-center your view so you're swinging AWAY from it. Simple stuff.
HAHAHAHHA
r/vrtoer
Haha you are so lucky. He's spoiling you
I got a knitting machine for Christmas. Everyone wants a turn. 😂
Same thing happened to me I got one and my girlfriend took it though
Totally a Homer Simpsons bowling ball situation! If you didn't actually ask for that, and he just happened to buy it for you.... ummm.... I think your husband is a selfish POS... It’s not a good VR session without someone breaking a hand
hhhhh omg :)
Bowling ball to Marge with Homer’s name on it
Lol
You gotta remember us men love our games even if they are not ours
I'm kind of guilty of this. I bought family members their own quests so I would have someone to play with. The difference being I had my own to use. Your husband bought this for him to use. "I got you you something" is code for "I got us something."
Yeah. Turn him around the other way!
How do people do that? I get if he didnt have space in the room or in case he was inside of a simrig but...... It looks like he was looking at a friggin tv instead of headset. Empty the space and reread the f manual. Thank you and Good luck in your Journey.
It’s new and he set the boundary too close. Get a grip and take a deep breath, ok?
Np, but read manual first mb?
It's time to divorce
😅
