Autistic IT worker? Sooo my type. That's so hot. 🥵
>!Okay, I'm teasing for fun, but nothing wrong with dating someone who is autistic. I'm a girl in IT who is autistic (high-functioning).!<
So the way to flirt with you in the office is to submit an issue report that actually describes the problem in detail, explaining exactly what went wrong, screenshots *and text* of error messages, what I was trying to do, what I expected to happen, what my OS is and version, exactly what software I'm using and its version, actionable steps to reproduce the issue that I actually tested ahead of time to confirm they work, and a summary of anything I've tried to fix it so far?
I kid, I kid. Kinda. :P
100% they’re literally delusional. So many delusional people in the world parading as saine (or even intelligent) while essentially repressing their overwhelming sense of lostness inside, usually starting at a very young agez
Of course I am to some extent, I just willfully try to reduce that (which is more than most can say).
Anyway, happy cake day - stop reading Reddit comments and go do something fun with it!
I don't know if it's an autism thing, but someone I worked with, if they had a problem, they would literally walk around the office asking people the same question, still within earshot of the person they just asked and keep doing it until they got the answer they wanted.
They just wouldn't take the answers given as the actual answer and just wanted someone to give them permission to do something else and once they'd done the rounds and not get the answer they wanted from everyone, they'd go sulk at their desk and begrudgingly do the work as intended taking the entire day to do it or were basically done for the day.
I'm hoping that OOP is getting shot down every time they post that question, but in all likelihood they'll keep asking until someone gives them the answer they're looking for, not sure what their version of sulking at their desk would involve but I hope they do get to the point where they take all day to ask the Women he's pining over out and whatever the outcome is, it's a safe and happy one.
Ah thanks, I didn't think it was an autistic trait since I'm on the spectrum and don't do that, I barely ask questions at all tbh.
My other theory is this IT worker somehow found out that their workplace crush is also on reddit and is hoping if they spam the question enough they'll eventually get this one person to respond.
Or it's just a result of poor social skills or lack of understanding of societal norms due to autism and/or other mental illnesses or environmental factors.
lol seriously. i have aspd (sometimes falsely referred to as "psychopathy") and it's absolutely ridiculous what stretches people will make to fit their worldview
Realistically probably not but these types of thoughts are definitely common. They usually start with curiosity, then they turn into action, and then thoughs of grand delusion * (thanks guy) start, they convince themselves someone loves them when they have no idea who they are etc etc.
Oh my god I am an idiot LOL thank you for the correction! I've never written the word so it always sounded like grand illusion. Genuinely thankful for this
no one else understand this is a reference to "what's something an overweight gamer did that instantly made you want to be his girlfriend?" ? Am I the only one to get the joke ?
Ah, those young inexperienced men still thinking physical attraction is about something you "do"...
Dudes, here's life advice, physical attraction is *subconscious* she's either got it or not and there's *nothing you can do*
This is exactly the mindset that makes these men not have a girlfriend?? No girl wants a guy that complains about these stuff because they’re most likely an asshole
"See here, lady. This is the RJ45 cable, but it can also be called a Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable, and you plug it into the Ethernet socket. Don't break the little tab."
I don’t know if he was autistic but I work in IT and there was this guy who in hindsight was pretty awkward, but I had a major crush on him. Tragically he had to move and leave the company very suddenly before I had the chance to shoot my shot. He could probably teach this guy a thing or two.
Women of Reddit, what's something that a green-eyed, left-handed guy in a yellow shirt whose first name started with a K did that instantly made all your clothes fall off?
Surely there must be thousands of women out there that this happened to, right?
Yeah, no. Autistic people are actively able to want and consent to sex. (within reason, obviously there are severely autistic individuals who cannot, but it's a spectrum). At least that's what I think you're insinuating.
This individual is obviously not going about it in a healthy or effective way, but that is solely a social deficit.
Sincerely,
An autistic individual
He posted threads on reddit about autistic IT workers

Did you just spit on that thang?
Do you want it to go in without proper lubrication?
Sploosh
You could drown a toddler in my panties
Phrasing. Are we doing that again? People are sensitive around here.
So sensitive one *little* flick sends the water rushing down into the baby drowning canals….???

He’s autistic and works in IT. Cut him some slack 😂
He has been kicked from the slack channel.
Ladies, what is something someone with autism but with no slack has done that immediately made you want date him?
Get some slacks. Nobody wants to see your dirty boxers in the workplace
Slack is a Subgenius concept. The object of life is to acrew slack and mock the pinks. This kid definately needs more slack.
And his productivity has never been higher
Is his hyper fixation pussy
The department of redundency department I would not be surprised if all my coworkers were autistic as well

Loneliness is a bitch.
Yep. OOP is clearly struggling. Hope they find an outlet before too long.
Some of us do, some of us don’t :/ it’s been a struggle for me lately too.

Y'all, this is *clearly a joke*. These replies are worse than the OOP. C'mon, y'all, how long have you been on the internet?
He'll find and outlet allright, and stick a fork in it. Some things can't be easily compensated for.
>Some things can't be easily compensated for. Such as?
Personal relationships. Also getting laid.
That (Loneliness) is a weird name for naming a female let along be a bitch.
You missed the mark, Chief.
He asked me if I'd tried turning it off and back on again 🥵
I suppose that turned you on
And off again
Wait this is backwards
*backwards this is wait
He started talking about the ludicrous game Arsenal had last night
God damn now I need to watch that show 😂
What was Wenger thinking bringing Walcott on that early?
The thing about Arsenal is they always try and walk it in.
My money is on Chelsea
This!!! He'll sound like a big normal man!

That's oddly specific. 🤭
Are you sure that’s not you (assuming you’re a lesbian) 👀
It's not me 🤭 I'm bi though, but I wouldn't have to go looking for other women like that. ✨
Really? No one recognised the copy pasta from the obese gamer? Jeez, I'm really getting old
This was clearly a joke, and so was the overweight gamer original text. I can’t tell if people in this thread understand that. Is it bots?
Exactly, it's a joke
It seems like most of the people in this thread have something in common with op, and it’s not necessarily being in IT
100% they’re literally delusional. So many delusional people in the world parading as saine (or even intelligent) while essentially repressing their overwhelming sense of lostness inside, usually starting at a very young agez
And? You saying you aren't delusional either? We all have our masks, it just depends on the person how opaque it should be
Of course I am to some extent, I just willfully try to reduce that (which is more than most can say). Anyway, happy cake day - stop reading Reddit comments and go do something fun with it!
This is a mindset that develops into psychopathy
Yeah he’s asked like 5 times already

Autism takes many forms, but that is not an autistic trait. That’s a ‘i want validation’ trait.
Isn't this just a copypasta? I've seen this exact wording except with something to do with a fat otaku.
Or it's just a result of poor social skills or lack of understanding of societal norms due to autism and/or other mental illnesses or environmental factors.
True! I've seen too many interviews / interrogations of murderers though
They also drink water, the filth
lol seriously. i have aspd (sometimes falsely referred to as "psychopathy") and it's absolutely ridiculous what stretches people will make to fit their worldview
Looks like it developped enough and it’s way beyond that threshold
Realistically probably not but these types of thoughts are definitely common. They usually start with curiosity, then they turn into action, and then thoughs of grand delusion * (thanks guy) start, they convince themselves someone loves them when they have no idea who they are etc etc.
I thought it was grand delusion?
Oh my god I am an idiot LOL thank you for the correction! I've never written the word so it always sounded like grand illusion. Genuinely thankful for this
You don't develop psychopathy, you are born with it.
Research on ASPD individuals indicates that in fact a large majority of them are the way they are due to specific kinds of childhood stressors.
Yeah. Big argument at least some sociopathy is genetic, but psychopathy nearly always links back to huge childhood trauma
I think people have a genetic predisposition, and then whether they experience those traumas have an effect on them either developing ASPD or not?
Ok wrong word I guess, is manifest more accurate? I mean the starting signs before the break.
It's a modified copypasta. Y'all, come on...
Sorry babe, come back to me when you're the SENIOR sys admin with autism. #noscrubs
Hey babe, I got solutions to all your Level 3 problems….
How many of the #noscrubs gang are nurses? It seens like a disproportionately high enough amount to make the tag hypocritical
I wonder if he is an autistic IT worker looking for justification to fuck someone in the copy room...
Why would you need to justify this?
Consent, mostly
thought that was implied
Not the one of your boss and collègues I imagine
no one else understand this is a reference to "what's something an overweight gamer did that instantly made you want to be his girlfriend?" ? Am I the only one to get the joke ?
Yeah he administered the systems very juniorly. Hope that helps!
Ah, those young inexperienced men still thinking physical attraction is about something you "do"... Dudes, here's life advice, physical attraction is *subconscious* she's either got it or not and there's *nothing you can do*
It’s 6:34am and I’m done with the internet for today.
My only good advice to this guy is to keep their Reddit profile veeery private from their personal life.
Okay but as an acoustic IT student, I'd like to know xd
right!!
For research purposes
I NEED TO KNOW.
“I won’t partake in your role playing fetishes”
Yikesies, what a fuckie-wuckie.
Good for my autistic brother, keep it up!!
Please no he has to stop spamming the sub with that😭
Not the thread, the fun times with women.
try telling them you use arch btw.
It would be even funnier if he added a "-Definitely not an autistic IT worker" at the end like the zombies in Plants vs Zombies leaving a note.
either he wants to fit a mold to pull or she wants validation for something that she feels is wrong for whatever reason. most likely the former.
r/suspiciouslyspecific
This is exactly the mindset that makes these men not have a girlfriend?? No girl wants a guy that complains about these stuff because they’re most likely an asshole
Im autistic it worker. My wife said there was no sexual tension at first. I was just nice for once.
Yeah that’s satire.
"See here, lady. This is the RJ45 cable, but it can also be called a Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable, and you plug it into the Ethernet socket. Don't break the little tab."

Guys I'm not sure but I think they may have had a really hot moment with a Junior Systems Administrator
I think they are a Junior Systems Administrator, and that's why they're asking.

I'm only into autistic technical writers. Sorry 🤷♀️
He spent all day sitting in his desk chair building an iron farm un Minecraft 😳

No?
Get real there are no females on reddit
There aren't in places where one uses the term "females" (it is considered weird and dehumanizing)
Ok
lol
This joke was funny maybe 6 years ago
More like 16 but I am classic
This is 100% enforcing a toxic behaviour where autistic men are coerced into sex. Reverse the roles and see what you get.
Yeah, no. Autistic people are actively able to want and consent to sex. (within reason, obviously there are severely autistic individuals who cannot, but it's a spectrum).
