If it's a snapping turtle, then definitely. In my area there is a swampy spot where the police have found a few bones of people that were disposed of there. The bodies were mostly processed by snapping turtles.

When will people understand the difference between ODDLY terrifying and just terrifying ?
When there is some unseen predator below your feet thats straight up terrifying. Because your instincts warn you about a danger. You can identify said danger and know why you are terrified.
When there is a picture of for example a landscape that looks almost normal but gives you and everyone else the chills but you cant put your finger on why then it is ODDLY terrifying. You cant really say what it is but there is something about it that doesnt sit well with you even tho its not threatening. Its just doesnt look how it should. Well you are definetely right with what you are saying. Its just kinda sad because I really enjoy this whole uncanny vibe that is so rare. Its the best kind of horror. And I am oftentimes disapointed by this sub. I feel like a lot of people are numb and are proud of it and thats why they hate on posts that hit the Spot.
