I went to grad school at OU because I was a fan since childhood. I’m usually not a huge sports fan but my mom watched OU football when I was a kid. It was the only sports she watched. I have a ritual for every game. One specific food and one specific drink. It doesn’t matter if I’m watching at home or listening on the radio, I always have both. Sometimes it’s a simple as a new bag of plain Lays potato chips and a can of ginger ale to something bigger like fried hot wings, a french fry charcuterie board, and a 12 pack of imported beer. But there’s always a specific food and beverage. Edited for: Boomer Sooner

It's just what my family does, I can remember from the time I was small. Saturdays in the fall were for sooner football. My dad and I constantly talk over the games. Even to this day, we text back and forth if we're not watching together. We never had the money to go watch live when I was younger, and my best memory was being able to take my dad to the RRS for his 50th birthday, which was his first one in person. 2011 RRS was a route for the Sooners, watching the shortwhorns side empty out at halftime and seeing how happy it made my dad is something I'll never forget.
