I didn't understand why they came out with this battery pack when OnePlus was already making one that supports 100w supervooc charging that's getting announced tomorrow seems like it's way better than this one

OnePlus will also introduce OnePlus 12000mAh 100W Super Flash Charging Power Bank. The image shows Cloud Green and Silver Wing White colours. It will have one USB-C and one USB-A port, as well as a button.
This will support 100W output and 45W input, and will also let you charge laptops with PD charging.
I was dissapointed when I saw the new one leaked as well. Although it seems it's only releasing in China for the time being, it does look of better quality so it would have been worth waiting for. The main saving grace for the Pouch is that Sharge is an awesome company lol I'm gonna end up buying the OnePlus one as well I know it
Also received it, very disappointed with it. Mine arrived with a broken cable that they've been difficult about replacing so far.
Points of note:
* The socket adapters really are hideous and bulky.
* Pass-through mode only supports 18w charging, and the power bank won't charge at the same time. (pogo or wire connection it appears)
* Loads of coil whine from the charger part. Not suitable to use in a bedroom of you are sensitive to noise.
* Fastest charge rate TO the battery is actually with a PD charger at 40w, not supervooc which tops out at 33w.
* Efficiency of this thing is appalling. 36wh pack is on the low end for a "10000mah" bank anyway, but the rated capacity (after V conversation, and losses) is 5500. Which is miserable! A good 10-15% lower than expected when compared against competing products from the established brands. I've verified this figure with some practical testing too.
So first and last Sharge product for me. Grossly overpriced crap
How are you not able to get a full charge? 10,000 mah versus 5,400 mah. There should be plenty for one complete full charge even with efficiency losses, with some to spare.
Is there a charge level indicator on the battery pack? If so, curious what it would say if you were to charge your phone while it's off, phone starting at 0% and pouch starting at 100%.
This more or less matches my experience to be honest. Im charging a OP open which is a 4800 battery and I did one near full charge 13-100%, plus another to 21% which on paper is 5200mah ish total, and the pouch was fully depleted. The quoted efficiency in 5v3a mode is shite already, and I imagine the PD and supervooc modes are worse. I can quite believe it's not possible to fully charge a op12 in supervooc mode.
Yeah it seems that this power bank is a boutique product that is more about aesthetics than utility. A lot of their products look like quality stuff but they charge a pretty steep premium for it. I jumped at the chance to buy the official OP wireless charger that I use every single day not to mention I got it for a discount for buying it through the app. I'll do the same for the official power bank, I can't imagine it being more expensive than what Surge is charging for theirs. We'll see.

Wow, kinda annoyed that I bought a power bank and the first Oneplus Watch 2 now when they're releasing better versions of both.

Maybe because I'm using my phone at the same time. But I'm not using it that heavily, so I still don't see why the Pouch is dying so fast.
