Bring it home Edmonton! It’s a goddamn travesty the Cup has been absent from Canada since before the damn Internet was a thing. I’m ok with the Oilers winning it as they’re the last Canadian team to have formed a Cup dynasty…might as well start another one.
Without considering my own leafdom, this went from I don't care to really fun in the last few days. It has nothing to do with Edmonton as much as I just love when the story takes over the expected narrative.
I think a lot of people from Ontario are cheering for Edmonton over Florida because they’d prefer the cup in Canada. Still not over yet though, 1 more game!
I think it's awesome, I hope the Oilers do it.
I follow and watch all the Canadian teams, except Ottawa 😁
I'd like to see the Leafs win a cup in my lifetime but I'm not counting on it.
So my preference in who wins the Cup in order
Leafs.
Vancouver.
Any Canadian team other than Montreal.
After that, don't care unless its Boston or Montreal, then I would hate it.
Yeah I actually get a little embarrassed when people say that, especially in front of Americans. It makes us look like we as a country have this inferiority complex.
I know people in Boston aren’t cheering for Florida just because they’re an American team. Americans aren’t insecure enough to do that.
You're not going to get a good answer on that question here. Anything you get is going to have inherent bias based on the fact that Leafs fans can't read.
The Leafs are a joke. It's pathetic that anyone even bothers to pay for tickets to see them anymore. They should be paying Canadians to GO to their games at this point. I think a kids team could probably beat them with how bad they are.
None of the players are from the cities that they play for. The entire roster could change between seasons and it would still be the "same team" due to marketing. A high school team taking the championship is a lot more meaningful to me because these people have worked together to earn that and grew up in and represent their communities. Professional leagues are entertainment businesses and I feel no more pride in the cup being won by a Canadian team than I do were it won by any other team.
I feel more pride if someone from my hometown is on the team that wins it, no matter where that may be based.
I feel like Stanley coming home to Canada is long overdue, and I don't much care who does it..

Sometimes English hard! Also, Ontario has two NHL teams fyi.
Well sorta three.
Sens and Leaf’s. What’s the third?
Buffalo
Not even a little bit
… I’d like you to show me on a map where Buffalo, Ontario is.
It's a joke cause Leafs tickets are too expensive so they go to Buffalo games
Not a fan of the Oilers but I’m happy for them. But I absolutely love that the Leafs are a consistent source of embarrassment.
As a Leafs fan I can wholeheartedly say I love it. I hope they win and it gives Bettman a heart attack
This is a stupid question
Looks good to me from here in Ottawa.
It doesn’t matter what province they’re from. They are Canadas team right now. 🇨🇦

Extremely happy. Though, to be fair, I’ve always hated the Leafs

Good for them

I like the oilers better than the leafs.
They wanted it more than our guys do
I'm loving watching the Oilers. Nobody really gives a hoot about the leafs anymore. They're a business marketing tool.
3-0 to 3-3 means literally nothing unless they win the 4th game
So my preference in who wins the Cup in order Leafs. Vancouver. Any Canadian team other than Montreal. After that, don't care unless its Boston or Montreal, then I would hate it.
Cup in Canada argument is so dumb. Over half the league is Canadian, it comes home every year.

41%. And it's still nice to have a Canadian team win.

Im not interested in hockey at all tbh, i guess I'm happy that you're happy?
As the old saying goes "close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades."
INDIFFERENT!
I see it as win-win. If they win the cup comes home, and either way we're still gonna chirp Edmonton.

Pretty sure I heard the broadcasters say Skinner is from Edmonton
