I personally would take Hali over Edwards
I’ve never been a huge fan of high scoring slightly efficient guards who can’t play make
If he starts averaging what he did in the first round sure but I haven’t seen any indication of that level of consistency
I love Hali but I think Edwards has shown he can play make at an elite level. He's asked to score and isolate more because Conley is the one who runs the point. Edwards is also a much better defender right now. Don't get me wrong, I want to keep Hali for the rest of his career! He's that guy, and he's great for the city. Edwards could be one the greats as well.
Probably not the place to mention this, but there's part of me that wonders if we missed big on not trading for Deni Avdija.
Don't get me wrong, the price would've been high - most likely Nesmith and Nembhard (for reference, he went for Brogdon, two firsts and a second). But, he seems like he was the only wing available that was also in our price range.
however i would have considered Walker, personally
Avdija balled out last year on a really poor wizards team and likely would fit our team like a glove

I'd consider Nesmith. They are both good defenders. Nesmith is a better 3 point shooter. Avdija is better at virtually everything else.
