I would perhaps like the flag if it was bigger- but you would lose more of your pretty clouds. The problem with it now is it just adds clutter between stripes and clouds, but larger (should cover the cone and close to the sides, it would be easy to see the horse stand out against it. So, as it currently stands: without.

Without - conceptually, the flag is good, but it definitely ends up overshadowing the horse.

Can the cone be wrapped in the Soltire, that way you get both?

I prefer w/o the flag, but if you still wanted to incorporate it in the design you could make it into a small plaque you put on the pedestal. I love the use of colors in this piece and the linework is very clean. Keep up the good work!

I really like the one with the flag, but, maybe it should be attached to something? Like a pole? A winged tube threaded through the top of the flag? How realistic are we supposed to go? ;)

Maybe reshape the clouds such that they suggest the form of the cross design, then you wouldn't need the flag at all

Depends on what you use it for I’d say. With flag would be great in a bar wall or postcard prints and the without is more of a still life painting vibe that needs a really Bold frame or put on a weed brand. Great work!!

Both are really cool. Both are also great statement pieces, but with and without the flag (to me) are two very different statements. So ultimately it goes to, what are you looking to say with this piece?

Without, but maybe the flag could be improved by being creased, the way it would look blowing in the wind instead of just straight out like it’s laid on the floor. Love the concept though

I love how the dark blue of the flag contrasts against the orange cone. It’s clear that no-flag is the winner; so are you able to potentially darken the sky / change the hue so you can achieve the best of both worlds?

I think you should include the flag, but have it a bit more hidden. As it tells people. This is Scotland and we are proud to be Scottish. But I do love this idea. Glasgow's most famous landmark with oor national animal.

I think you need to consider why you want the flag there? Could it be smaller and less distracting? Could it be graffiti like a my little pony style thing?

I love the flag. But the shadow on the flag makes it look like it’s smothering the horse. It needs to be pushed back. Have you tried it without the shadow? Or maybe something between the flag and the horse? Light rays, a bird, clouds….?
