I have to wipe mine down daily because I can't stand oily residue on my peripherals. I couldn't imagine using a keyboard like this, covered in cheeto dust on the daily.
I'm guessing they neglect cleaning other things too.

I've never done more than blast a keyboard with compressed air. I do not understand what people are even doing that gets their keyboards actively dirty.
Yeah I am mostly the same, about once a year I will do a deep clean of all the key caps but most of the time I just get a cloth to clean the top of the key caps like once every 3 months. And this is with a white keyboard. All ypu have to do is, do not smoke (or if you do not in the room with electronics because it messes them up internally, this includes vapping it just not as bad as smoking for causing mess) and do not eat on top of your keyboard. That is pretty simple ypu can still eat at your desk (I do and as you can see mine is alright) just not overtop of your keyboard.

When I see stuff like this I just clean it for my own sake. Your screen is dirty? I will clean it as soon as you take a break. You keyboard is crusty? I will start annoying you immediately to let me clean it. You laptop has a heating problem? I will offer to clean your exhaust fans. I can't stand dirty PCs and accessories.

i looked up a cleaning video and that was too much work, soapy water, soaking the keys, the whole 9.
now i just use a wet wipe every 6 months on all the keys and isopropyl alcohol with a Q tip around the keys, takes less than an hour and its good as new.
