I think the three main requirements are:
1. Sales experience in luxury brands
2. Impeccable grooming
3. Excellent customer service tailored to generally wealthy/high spending clients
If you do apply, best of luck to you! :)
So have you applied directly to the store? Have you checked out their websites? Seems like a good way to start. I don’t think there’s a particularly magic way. Have you got retail experience, have you worked in Myers/ David Jones or mid-high range retail before?
Actually a lot of the luxury brands hiring for retail are huge on if you fit the brand image first, knowledge and loyalty to said brand then experience
I reckon you want to work in "high fashion" for some idea of decent pay and commission. You're going to be paid trash, to sell trash, to trash. If you're young, start in sales elsewhere. A little bit of sales experience will get you to most places. The reality is you're gonna get paid shit for shit hours. Only real advice I could give is to make sure you join your union. Every little bit goes a long way.
Scope out the aesthetics of the staff and models they hire. If you can match or exceed that and then have the right “personality” they’ll take you.
Beware if you don’t fit their aesthetic they’ll tell you that they don’t think you’re a good fit, regardless of how good a sales person you may be
Tried applying at Rossendorf a decade ago when they were selling Rolex. Having owned several, knowledgable and passionate, I thought I'd be a good fit.
I never got the job.

Like working in a music equipment store, you need familiarity with the product first and foremost.
Dude, looking at your post history is an absolute shitshow of stupid questions. Just, stop.

Oh my god, it's absolute gold!
I regret looking, what a waste of time
I don't think I'd like to work in the same place as OP.
