I get that feeling a bit sometimes my self, but trust me your family is far happier that you are here on earth than if you weren’t…..so that’s a start :)
Hope your Sunday gets a little better as it goes on mate.
This hit me hard reading it. Life's tough atm. Keep your chin up. I think the same as you and it's hard staying positive. Sometimes you just need to slow down and focus on one thing at a time.
I'm starting to suspect the building standards here aren't great. I have a tile roof. No sarking, no under tile to speak of. Had a guy in to check a leak, and he pointed out all the water pipes had just been laid on top of everything haphazardly, which apparently is a big nono.
I wake up early by nature.
I would normally use the time to watch some tv, play some video games.
You know, some Me Time.
However, the power went out about 15 minutes ago, and now i truely understand how little i can do on a dark sunday morning.
Without lights i cant read a book or whatever
Damd straight.
I am a hobby photographer, and it has been a passing thought to get into the cbd real early, to take advantage of beimg dark and early enough for no people to take some shots of the city scape.
I should do it this morning since i had nothing else to do, but honestly, i just cant be arsed.
I wake up most days at around 4. Not by choice, it just seems to be when my head starts racing. I use the time as quiet time for me. Usually sit outside with a coffee, and just enjoy the silence.
I've been there! The photos from when the kids were that age I look so wrecked, which is a shame because on the inside I had never been happier. I ran on some other kind of energy it was magic.
Oh, it’s so true! I had them at 39 and up until then people were always surprised I was nearly 40. Since having the girls, no one is surprised about my age lol.
You must be busy!
18 month old woke at 5:20 here this morning, and ran to her sisters' room to wake them up. Everyone was immediately extremely hungry and also wanted to play soccer in the kitchen.
The pain from two fractured ribs, and a fractured elbow joint has cut my slumber short thanks to pain meds not lasting as long as one might hope.
Normally awake at 5am on weekdays, and my body clock usually can let me sleep in on a weekend.
I seem to have installed a faulty CGM which has been telling my insulin pump I'm planning a coffee date with the reaper and has been going off all night. I'm healthy as, the only thing at risk is the pump next time the alarm goes off as I might throw it at the wall (/s)
My three year old went to bed before mum got home from her friends place. Woke up to her ugly crying because she thought mum never came home, mum was asleep upstairs because I was snoring loud 😅
Woke up excited to try out a paint-by-numbers for the first time. Coffee, listening to the rain, and learning how to use a paint brush. I have no art skills so this is great for me.
My dog is an oldboi and he couldn't decide wanted to be inside or outside. Now he's sleeping peacefully on the couch. The rest of the household is asleep too, I enjoy the peace 😊
Have a newborn that won't sleep unless she's being held. My wife just got admitted to hospital because she has an abscess on her c section wound. My toddler decided today was the day to wake up early.
When do I get to sleep again?
It will happen, I promise. Do you have a baby sling / carrier you can carry the baby around in hands free ? I had a carrying baby and it was the only way I could do *anything*.
I hope your wife will be ok. My sister had an abcess like this and they drained it and gave her antibiotics in a drip, and she was feeling far better by the end of the day.
As for the toddler - perhaps today can be a Bluey day with a doonie nest ? You may be able to get them to sit still and chill for a couple of minutes.
Oh and now is absolutely the time to call in any “Let me know if you need a hand” comments by various relatives and friends. Even if they can do a couple of loads of laundry or bring over some bread and milk, it all helps.
Thinking of you mate. It does get better, I promise.
Thank you mate, really appreciate it.
I go through flashes of despair (my original comment was during one lol) but the great thing about having a 2nd child is you know how soon it gets better. Like honestly, blink and you'll miss it fast. A silver lining to the situation is I'm getting a lot more newborn cuddles!
Hopefully she'll be home soon, the pain has given her endless trouble since the birth so having that sorted will make her much more comfortable.
My orphaned baby lamb, who is living inside, decided it needed more food. Then I misjudged taking off his poo nappy and his tail flicked shit everywhere so I had to clean that. Lucky he is cute.

I actually don’t have a photo with his nappy on, but here’s one of him down the back with the “big sheep” (never uploaded photo to reddit, hopefully this works)
It’s not early but it is. Fell asleep 2:30 last night after a little runaway dog adventure. I’ve got work soon, it’s the tenth day in a row. I don’t want to anymore.
Had a dream that it was 10am and i still hadn’t left for work
Didn’t even mind waking up from it because of the relief i got realising it was still Sunday
Sports! 1230am was the T20 Australia England cricket match, 6am had the Belmont Stakes, 8 am conflicting between West Indies Uganda T20 and the Oilers Panthers NHL game 1 of the Finals.
Disney on ice later.
Surely there is time for a nap too?
I got up at 9.30 thankyouverymuch. Which is the first decent sleep I’ve had all week, and I sleep with earplugs in, so I had no idea we had Weather as well….
Picked up Coles and Woolies orders for my mum and my sister as they've had their 4 year streak of not catching the spicy cough broken 😕
Easier to do it first thing in the morning. Less people, easier to park.
Driving back to Perth after 2 weeks in Exmouth. So depressing driving back through all the rain. Started raining from north of Shark Bay and hasn’t really stopped right through to Northampton.
I realised that I had left an entire load of washing on the line. I had to drive to my folks house to use their dryer (laundromats don’t have my childhood pets! And free food).
I’m up at about 4:40 every Sunday to watch the UFC, it’s what gets me through the working week, I love my Sunday fights also throw on 6ix on the radio an I’m in heaven
... I passed out early the night before after a workout and now I'm about to do it again for a second time
Plus i'm fat so that might play a part in the sleep thing idk
I didn’t, slept all the way to around noon, then felt like I got the worlds biggest migraine headache, took some Nurofen and went back to sleep, woke up again just now 😂
I woke up because I needed to pee, and now I’m scrolling through reddit in bed.
Same 🥸
I hear ya
Because of the existential dread that I have failed my family.
I get that feeling a bit sometimes my self, but trust me your family is far happier that you are here on earth than if you weren’t…..so that’s a start :) Hope your Sunday gets a little better as it goes on mate.
I'm sure you haven't, but you only get one life, so do your best and move on. Certainly don't let dread paralyse you. YOLO matie
Best advice, talk to them (all of them) about how you're feeling. They’ll respect you more for it
Yep, love a good existential-dread start to the day 😩. Had a few of those. If it helps at all, you’re not alone, my friend.
This hit me hard reading it. Life's tough atm. Keep your chin up. I think the same as you and it's hard staying positive. Sometimes you just need to slow down and focus on one thing at a time.
Rain inside my house woke me up… Yep inside. Now watching F1 qualifying
Let's gooooo Ricciardo! Jacques Villeneuve can suck a fat one
Haha I just watched that TikTok. I agree. Fuck him
Clean your gutters
Same! Rain coming through the light bulb and leaking onto the floor inside
I'm starting to suspect the building standards here aren't great. I have a tile roof. No sarking, no under tile to speak of. Had a guy in to check a leak, and he pointed out all the water pipes had just been laid on top of everything haphazardly, which apparently is a big nono.

Bizarre thinking about how in December it'd be full light and birds a chirpin at this time of day
Damd straight. There is a girl I like who is currently in hospital. I'm having sleep issues.
Sending good vibes (for her and for your feelings!)
Visit her if you can ; get something delivered to her if you can't.
does she like you back tho
Yeah, I'm pretty awesome apparently. Her words not mine.
Road trip to Broome starts now!
Have fun mate. Be sure to jump on UHF 40 to listen to the truckies grumbling lol.
Im Envious some of us have to work, be careful!

Im running the Mighty+ and gaming on Helldivers 2 on PS portal. Sweet
Hell yeah, tinymight2 and ffxiv here
Sweet Liberty!
This guy likes democracy
There's nothing like spreading managed democracy one bullet at a time.
Because my ADHD brain is like a broken light switch. Once it flicks on, it gets jammed and can't be turned off until bed time.
I wake up most days at around 4. Not by choice, it just seems to be when my head starts racing. I use the time as quiet time for me. Usually sit outside with a coffee, and just enjoy the silence.
Two year old twins.
Had my first at 30. Proceeded to age 15 years in the next five years.
Oh feeling you right there, nearly 3 year olds here 🥱
You must be busy! 18 month old woke at 5:20 here this morning, and ran to her sisters' room to wake them up. Everyone was immediately extremely hungry and also wanted to play soccer in the kitchen.
My dog has advised me that someone has had the audacity to walk past my house.
My dogs let me know the trampoline from next door was trying to climb the fence into our garden.
Mine was getting stroppy because I stayed up later than usual. He is a Staffy and incredibly opinionated.
Putting a towel against the bedroom wall where the rain is leaking in through the roof and ceiling 😑
Still goin from Saturday after a night out with friends for the first time in ages, see you Sunday people in 6 hours
[удалено]
Literally the same! Mine are called Ross and Monica because they’re brother and sister and my old roommate and I were going through a Friends phase.
Was watching the T20 World Cup. Suck it England!
I’ve been waking up around 4am of late. The sound of the rain was also a factor. Hoping for a second sleep soon…
Bring on the holy second sleep
Because the world is going to hell in a handbasket and only doom-scrolling Reddit is helping me.
Rain on my window, cat on my face. Now I’m up
Sounds like the start of a bad country music song!
Doggo wants his breakfast at the usual time! Although on a weekday I've usually been up for an hour by now (5am) ugh
Same here, my girl is like an alarm clock
Mine must have been sleepy. I checked up on him (fast asleep on the bed as usual) two hours after I got up.
Working 🙄🙄🙄
Same, grading papers because we want this over and done by Tuesday
Look at us go ,over and beyond 😜😜😜
Erection
I mean, Auskick is at 730 but tell my damn brain that means wake up at 7, not 5!
The pain from two fractured ribs, and a fractured elbow joint has cut my slumber short thanks to pain meds not lasting as long as one might hope. Normally awake at 5am on weekdays, and my body clock usually can let me sleep in on a weekend.
Fractured sternum here ✌🏻 I keep telling myself, maybe because I didn’t sleep much last night, TONIGHT will be wicked….
So you’re in the same boat as me - thinking bone fractures, how they happened, and any bruising from them, can go suck a big hairy one. 😆
I'm waking up every 3 hrs to do feeds and bum changes for my 3 day old boy. (Yes.. I'm bragging on reddit) we are very lucky.
I’m heavily pregnant. No sleep for me
Still stuck in America so I'm sorting out what to do with my sunny Saturday afternoon.
Where about in the States?
Southern California, about an hour east of LA.
Nice, I was raised about two hours north-west of you in Bakersfield. Mind the wind and heat.
Minesite
Best time of the day, always! I'll have it all done before most of you wake up! Enjoy the day all!
The rain woke my child up and now it's wake up time.
Sames
This is my time before the family gets up
My child has an internal alarm of 5am. Which is an improvement on the alarm he had at 3 and 4 yo of 3am. Bless his little socks.
Currently going through this phase atm, god give me strength
Cat woke me up so she could eat, but now that I’m up it’s time for breakfast and to get ready for the nhl
I seem to have installed a faulty CGM which has been telling my insulin pump I'm planning a coffee date with the reaper and has been going off all night. I'm healthy as, the only thing at risk is the pump next time the alarm goes off as I might throw it at the wall (/s)
Because my darling dog pawed and licked my face and is now napping across my bed.
My son have severe eczema flaring up.
3 kids that think 5am is a great time to start the day. God what I would do for a sleep in.
I work in hospitality and don't get these fabled 'weekends' so I'm up and getting ready for work
Dropped husband off at the airport.
Broken wrist
I'm old. Inbuilt alarm sees my naturally wake up at 4-4:30am regardless of when I go to sleep. Been nice listening to the rain ...
Headache and hungry.
My three year old went to bed before mum got home from her friends place. Woke up to her ugly crying because she thought mum never came home, mum was asleep upstairs because I was snoring loud 😅
I usually go to bed at 9am and wake up at 5pm (or try to). Gets messy when I need to see people during the middle of the day... Like today D:
Fishing
Woke up excited to try out a paint-by-numbers for the first time. Coffee, listening to the rain, and learning how to use a paint brush. I have no art skills so this is great for me.
To go to Bunnings before 11am,
God speed. Get in and out safely.🙏
My early riser toddler woke me up saying “peekaboo” 😂
My dog is an oldboi and he couldn't decide wanted to be inside or outside. Now he's sleeping peacefully on the couch. The rest of the household is asleep too, I enjoy the peace 😊

You...have a lamb with a nappy?? I demand pics for the cuteness...

Awww he's cute!!
He’s beautiful.
Huh? Only just, umm… got up. What time is it?
Fucking cat.
Because I'm in hospital and my roommate snores and chokes in her sleep like a dying T-Rex
I have small children.
Recovering from my bday party.
Off to church and then hanging out with the family.
So I can go joyride around with free transportation
My dog allowed me to sleep in a little today so she got me up at 430 instead of 3am - for which I was grateful.
Walking the dog in a gap in the rain.

Driving back to Perth after 2 weeks in Exmouth. So depressing driving back through all the rain. Started raining from north of Shark Bay and hasn’t really stopped right through to Northampton.
I was up because we just moved my 3 yo out of her cot into a bed and she just walked into my room and poked me in the face.
I realised that I had left an entire load of washing on the line. I had to drive to my folks house to use their dryer (laundromats don’t have my childhood pets! And free food).
