I think it's good to have more subs available, not for subbing them later in the game which you won't ve able to, but for having more choices when it comes to players form. Imagine you get unlucky with your keeper's arrow, now with the extra bench space you can have a second goalie ready that hopefully will have better form.
Same thing with inconsistent form players like Hazard. They're a high risk, high reward kind of situation, but now, it's lees risky to bring one or two of them because even if they have an off game, you have enough players to still make it work.
Idk, just a few possible uses for the new bench. I personally like it a lot.
