Maybe I should clarify: the only reason I use long ball (or long ball counter) is because I prefer a low(er) defense line. I don't really use long balls as they don't work.
And the reason I prefer long ball over long ball counter is because if you look at Konami's description of this playstyle, your CB's movement after gaining possession is they FALL BACK (reason being to get ready to launch a long ball, but I still build up thru the mid field). This is contrast to long ball counter where your players rush forward to counter attack, and your CB's will follow forward, too. This makes it very dangerous if your lose the ball right after gaining possession.
From my experience, if I fail to successfully pass the ball out to attack, I usually lose the ball in the 1st or 2nd pass after gaining possession (from the 3rd pass on, it gets easier until I reach the opposition box). Long ball tactics protect me more in this scenario than long ball counter.

why do u prefer LB rather rather than LBC ? i personally like LBC, but i never tried LB.

Long ball and possession doesn't go so well, that's why. In pes 21 also, long ball and counter gameplay didn't get good response
