currently a grad student in upd in the college of science. i can’t speak for other programs/colleges but a lot if not all of our classes are during weekdays starting 4PM. mas common siguro ang evening classes kesa sa weekend classes. some classes we meet twice a week for 1.5hrs each, some classes we meet once a week for 3 hrs. in terms of scholarships and grants, a lot of the available financial aid for grad students is for dissertation/thesis. not so much for tuition. for a 9-unit sem my tuition cost 7k. as for difficulty, i would do some snooping on the graduation rate of your program lol. ask around how many ms/phds they were able to produce in the past 5 years. that should give you an idea on how difficult your desired program is. best of luck!

not from UPD but came from UPM for my MS. honestly the tuition is really cheap sa UP. 1k per unit plus 1k misc fees sa UPM. sa UPD is cheaper ata. di siya masyado problema basta you can save at least 2k per month (9 unit load is at 10k. one sem is 5 months. 2k per month for 5 months is 10k). siguro ang pinaka mahal na binayaran ko was 13k kasi nag 12 units ako sa grad school (full load). also idk with UPD pero sa UPM may college/univ scholar lol (yan yung equivalent ng DL). so if never ka naging DL sa undergrad, now is your chance. difficulty-wise I’d say depende sa undergrad experience mo. the more academically challenging, the more you are prepared for it. since sobrang toxic ng undergrad ko (UST BSPT), mas petiks yung grad school. madali in a way na parang wala na lang sayo matambakan ng requirements and exams lol. mas less strict usually ang attendance and requirements sa grad school. pero mas mataas ang standards for your outputs. sa thesis, i’d say partnering with an institution doing researches is your best bet kung gusto mo makatipid. if not, then sipagin mo lang magsulat at magbasa.

Read a million times the grad school handbook specially if you are a thesis track student. If undergrad is a walk in Jurassic park, grad school is like twice the intensity and difficulty. So be mentally, physically, spiritually ready. Goodluck!
