Hello, OP! There are different ways of looking at this. Some would say that passion is overrated - dahil may mga passion tayo that won’t be able to bring food to the table.
There’s also a difference between passion and drive.
Sabi mo hindi mo alam kung saan ka magaling, and that’s okay. You can discover that. Siguro, instead of thinking na hindi mo alam kung saan ka magaling, hanapin mo kung saan ka comfortable. Also, hindi dahil magaling tayo sa isang bagay, yun na dapat ang gawin natin. We have to keep learning.
And it’s normal. You will always have forks in the road. There will be times in your life, and this is true even after graduation and you’ve already built a career and have worked X number of years, that you ask yourself ‘Where do I go from here?’ There are times when we get blindsided by situations and also circumstances that you find yourself not knowing what to do - and that’s totally okay.
Step back and try to see what’s in front of you. If you don’t like what you’re seeing, how do you change that? It’s great to look at others for reference, but always remember that you are your own person. We’re not made using the same mould. A lot of us might have the same goals, but being able to achieve those will always be different .
You could instead think of a 'dream' lifestyle of yours. Tapos pursue any career/jobs that could help you achieve that lifestyle. Ganyan yung SO ko. She doesn't really like yung current course niya and so far di niya padin nafifigure out passion niya but she is willing to put up with it so she can achieve yung gusto niyang type of work and lifestyle in the future.
sobrang ramdam kita, op! hindi ko first choice yung course ko ngayon kaya balak ko sanang magshift, kaso natatakot ako na baka magshift ako at 'di ko pa rin gusto kasi wala naman talaga akong gustong gawin 💀
Gets ko yung no purpose in life, at least not in the way we would like. Ang totoong purpose lang naman ng buhay ay magsurvive at magreproduce. Kaya tayo ang gumagawa ng meaning at purpose ng existence natin. Pero yung no passion, teka. May mga bata pa lang naggigitara na, yung tipong bubugbugin na ng magulang kasi walang ibang ginawa kundi maggitara. Kaya paglaki mala-Slash ang guitar skills. That's passion. Meron maaga nahahanap ang passion. Meron matanda na. Meron nagbabago ang passion sa pagtanda.

If you mean that there is no "one true" passion, then I agree with you.
You can be passionate in many things. You can lose interest. You are allowed to do that.
Though there are some people that found a passion so great that they've devoted their entire lives to it, most of us wont. The rest of us are stuck trying out many different things, pushed and pulled by what currently interests us at the moment, and don't let society tell you that that is such a bad way to live, cause it's not.

hi OP! this is from someone that has a strong passion for something. there are pros and cons to it, kasi kung gustong gusto mo yung something eh, super depressing naman pag di mo makuha. pero if makuha mo man, ang saya sobra. for those that dont have a passion or havent found it yet, you'll be fine :)) i hope it means you wont get too depressed with whatever road you take in life. if you cant pick one yet, just go with whats bearable for you. then after than you can work to fund your hobbies :)) live well, OP

kidding aside, i feel u op! sobrang lost ako sa gusto kong gawin. inggit na inggit ako sa mga kaibigan ko na alam na nila what career they want to end up in habang ako, pinagiisipan ko pa kung gusto ko ba ang kinukuha kong kurso. sinasasabi ko na lang sa sarili ko na pano ko malalaman ang future ko sa field na to kung di ko susubukan? reverse what if? huhu idk

These days, di talaga natin malaman kung san natin ilalaan ang oras natin kase minsan di natin alam kung worth it ba or kung gusto ko ba talaga to.
Kaya siguro most would relate to you kase in this time, sobrang taas ng expectations ng tao kase sobrang competitive na. Ano nga naman bang magagawa natin kung average lang tayo diba? Is it our fault? Will we ever find this sense of 'security and contentment'?
Siguro what keeps me going nalang is to think that we're still young at I think we still have time to figure it out. Not now pero someday.
Hopefully, there would be a time kung saan alam na talaga natin ang gusto natin sa buhay AT ISANG MALAKING SANA na magustuhan ko yung papasukin kong trabaho someday since ako din, di ko gusto ang kursong kinuha ko.

Tas dun ka matanggap try mo aralin tas if trip mo stay if not then go. I think ganun lang naman ang life lalo na if d mo tlga alam ano meron sa future. Huhuhu.
May kilala ako may MBA. Pero ang gusto talaga niya ay magsulat ng comedy scripts for TV. Ayun, nasa TV na siya. May kilala ako, dentistry ang tinapos pero musikero ngayon. Yung isa computer science pero writer din. Kapag nahanap mo ang passion mo, okay lang na iba ang kurso mo. Pero don't pressure yourself na mahanap agad ang passion, parang pag-ibig 'yan, hindi nahahanap sa pilitan. Experience the world as much as you can, eventually lilitaw yan.

Do not feel envy for those who are sure about their passions because I assure you that majority of those people will change paths and beliefs in the future.
**Passion is ever changing**. It's important to note that your dreams and passions are dynamic because if you recognize this, it will help your growth or understanding of who you are.
**General Wants**. Before I discovered what I wanted to be and do, I had to reflect for years about what I really want, need, and care for. To be honest, it started out as *I wanted to help others* due to my circumstances and financial background, but now it transformed to something even more specific that I will not be saying here.
**Take your time**. If you still can't deduce what you want to be or do in the future, take a rest. Many students and young adults currently are still lost on their passions and identity, but as long as you believe that there is hope for you, then it will come at any time.
**Excel for now**. Just try to do your best for now while you discover yourself. If it's a program you don't like, then struggle and strive because you still have to secure your future while you search for yourself.
Don't forget to love yourself in the process. :>>

The idea is to find work that you enjoy, or at least something you can tolerate in the meantime, and devote the rest of your time trying out different hobbies. So, once you graduate, try to avoid jobs that sucks your energy dry and barely leaves you with enough time for yourself.
Ideally, the hobby should be skill-based (web design, wood working, 3D modelling?), or will contribute to your growth as a complex human being with complex thoughts (reading books, writing, philosophy?)
You might just find something your passionate about through your hobbies. Maybe you can even turn some of your hobbies into...income? (you might not enjoy the hobby afterwards though), or maybe even grad school. Who knows?
And, there is time OP. There are people who shifts career all the time. I actually did it one year out of college, haha! And if it don't work out...and if so be, I'll do it again. Heck, a lot of jobs in the future hasn't even been invented yet.
