Define bobo? Makes no sense na gusto mo engineering pero ayaw mo ng mga field where most engineering principles are built upon.

purplerabbitkim

STEM strand ako so medj sanay na ko sa malupitang math pero I admit mas mabagal akong makagets compared sa iba :((

tinatheallpaca

Shift to baa na lang hahaha

cometlizards

Hahaha

greenbrainsauce

Ano ba end goal mo?

purplerabbitkim

End goal as in career? Tbh I don't have any specific "dream" job pa. Gusto ko lang makatapos into a practical course that pays well:((

greenbrainsauce

Iwannabefree10

Hmmm okay. But based kasi sa post nya he is judging himself as mahina sa math and hindi na pwede iimprove. Di rin tlga ako magaling sa math and I graduated. Tho not really laude or what pero di rin ako puro pasang awa lang. And Im also currently taking masters. I dont consider myself as magaling sa math kaya yan basta mag-aral and tyaga lang ask help if needed.

Iwannabefree10

I found myself struggling sa math17 nung freshman.

greenbrainsauce

Unless gusto mo matapos after 15 years

Iwannabefree10

I finished in 5. 5 years. Yeah not the ideal but atleast not 15 years.

greenbrainsauce

Iwannabefree10

Hahaha. Sana true.

greenbrainsauce

I mean I can't imagine gragraduate ka ng engineering nang di mo alam gamitin ang standard linear equation

Iwannabefree10

Hhaha. Understanding that doesnt mean im really good at math. Im OK at best.

imjustheretolearn00

pyke-man

If you can manage to do well on calculations but suck on understanding the theoretical side of math, I think you’ll be able to manage naman. Also, how difficult you feel your Math 2X classes are for you can be a pretty gauge to see how you would fare in IE, imo.

purplerabbitkim

Sipag lang talaga puhunan ko in everything pero di talaga ako magaling sa problem solving ever since ;(

JaxofHearts

Hi! I'm currently in IE! I suggest get a feel for the Math through the 2X series if you really think you are "bobo" in Math (which I believe na mahina is the better term if you're pushing it lol). Also, if you really want IE, you'll continue with it if you REALLY are decided. I get that engineering might not be for everyone (like I really suck at drafting but taking ES1 and the likes lol) but not being great at math shouldn't be the most defining thing that should be keeping you from taking eng'g programs at all, especially IE. We are not all gifted to be great at everything in our dream program (if IE is your dream program). If you think you can manage in Math and excel in other aspects surrounding IE, then I think you'll do good naman. Decide very well if something is really what you want and won't regret it in the long run! Gauge your options, OP. Take it one step at a time! 🤞

purplerabbitkim

Hi enough reason ba yung gusto sa IE kase practical? Like sabi nila broad daw kase ang job opp? And for someone na walannamang specific na pangarap, I'm thinking of shifting... Can you give me a gist of kung ano ba talaga pinagaaralan sa IE and kaya ba magsurvive dyan pag di ka magaling sa problem solving? Huhu tia!!!
