Not entirely correct. The interaction with the Higgs field gives higher than the composition of quarks to QCD bound states such as protons and neutrons, but you would still be a lot lighter if it would just be the quark masses
It seems like the Higgs field should be some kind of way to store energy in the form of a particle. Like freezing water into ice cubes in an ice tray. The shape of the icecube is determined by the tray. The shape of the particle is determined by the Higgs field. Mass is just stored energy.

Weight is a force inflicted by a gravitational pull and it being stopped so It’s 0 while they fall. They could go orbit earth or something.
