Ya know, I read most of the speech. I didn’t listen to the speech in its entirety, but it didn’t seem like he ever trashed women working or said that women can’t or shouldn’t do anything other than be home makers.
He just believes that most women are primarily working towards getting married and making a family.
He also calls out men and challenges them to be present in their homes and good husbands and family leaders, stating that absentee fathers are way too common in the US compared to overseas.
He’s a dumbass, but idk if he’s mean spirited about the women working thing. He’s just a douchey old fashioned sexist that thinks most women would prefer being a SAHM, and that society is tricking them into thinking they HAVE to have a career and disregard making families.

How do you think the NUNS at the Catholic university felt when he said they had been lied to and that their life didn't mean anything because they didn't get married and have children? It sure felt mean spirited to me. He didn't just say that women were excited to get married, he said nothing except getting married and having babies was true living. When I was single, I was excited to get married. That doesn't mean I wasn't also excited to have a career.
