This is a good example record of the current used vinyl market and bubble. This record was usually $5 - $10 dollars until about 2 or 3 years ago.
Not sure where you live, but most of the stores around me have this used around $20 or so, but I have seen the price go up.
It does sound good on vinyl and I’ve always been a fan of this record, enjoy the music.
Vinyl is expensive everywhere right now, not judging you at all. The hobby was a lot more fun about 15 years ago when you could walk out of a record store with a stack for $50. My budget doesn’t allow me to buy much new stuff anymore, but I love listening to music.
I’m sorry but these comments are moronic. OP paid $50 AUD which is equivalent to around $32 USD if I’m not mistaken. I’ve seen TFC go for around that price here in the States. Not always but it isn’t uncommon.
Could you have gotten it cheaper? Sure but it isn’t the end of the world like people here are making it out to be. The people checking Discogs are not the majority of vinyl buyers and they won’t be. It’s a simple hobby for most. OP made a bad purchase when they could have gotten in cheaper. So what? Rather have them take it as a learning experience than something to be shamed by. Calling OP a liar and the reason why there’s a vinyl bubble is just stupid. Elitist nonsense. Does this matter? Not really. If you think it’s actually something worth arguing about you’ve got nothing better to do.
It’s worth it. You put it on the record player and play it. Who cares if you spent $5-$15 more dollars. That’s the price of a sandwich or a burger. You own a classic Floyd vinyl now. Nice pick up.
Man thought this was the actual Final Cut paying $50 for it 💀
Word to the wise. 99% of stuff in an “antique” store is overpriced junk people are trying to get rid of.
[you're a bad liar](https://imgur.com/a/rLUgpsN)
edit: and even if the one you got is a "newer" pressing and that's how they justified charging $50 for it, you could just as easily get a pressing from 40 years ago in great condition for $15 or $20 cheaper
Yh with the matrixes. There's little engraved numbers/letters on shiny part of vinyl near the label. U can search em up on discogs to find out. Or check stevehoffman forums.
Being an aussie, I saw this post and was like oh nice and read the comments for the entertainment value 😂 Like I haven’t seen any sealed vinyls in aus for under $50 but when I buy my first PF one I’ll remember to put the currency if I post it.
50!?!?!?!? You got SCAMMED!
well its either buy it in the only place that sells records within 50 kilometres for 50$ or buy it online for 6 dollars cheaper
Bruh ngl u can get one for like $20-25 on eBay Edit: guys he got a good deal, he’s Australian. Their money is worth about half of USD. $50 isn’t bad.
I got it for $15 no shipping on Discogs
Nah, probably 80s issue will cost even more here in Russia, for example, so prices in distant Australia could also be that bad
Jesus I remember when there was a copy of this in every secondhand store for $2
people didnt like it did they?
You gotta have the nerve to buy the Final Cut.

the bad side affects of vinyl coming back into style

bro what
It means everyone is assuming you’re American when you’re Australian, therefore commenting on how much you spent.
oh thanks for realising that
It’s worth it. You put it on the record player and play it. Who cares if you spent $5-$15 more dollars. That’s the price of a sandwich or a burger. You own a classic Floyd vinyl now. Nice pick up.
thank you man

i mean yeah but the ting is ion wanna drive 200 kilometres to buy a record
$32 isn’t bad, either way it’s a great album. Very underrated. Enjoy!!
discogs is great but they charge the cost of another record on top... glad you got what you wanted OP.
Ah, my favorite album of theirs! Nice.
My favourite floyd album. Very underrated!
Yeah $50 is about $45 too much for PF’s worst album
People like you who just pay for overpriced vinyl are the reason why overpriced vinyl exists.
mfs complaining about me paying 50$ for it without teling me where to buy it for cheaper
Discogs.com
wow the cheapest one of the exact record i got is a whole 7 dollars cheaper

You were robbed
thats actually fire bro thanks for telling me
Hopefully without “When the Tigers Broke Free”
If its a first pressing it may be worth way more. Ppl here being a bit obnoxious imo
is there a way to find out what pressing records are

30 isn't bad for final cut, given that it was in rlly good condition. Picked mine up for 30 in vg+ on both sides. Nice find tho.

yeah the average price to buy sealed new vinyl in australia is like 50 - 60$
$50 bucks? Dang I wouldn't pay 10 for that album
cool bro thats fair enough
I’m assuming this is an early pressing without “When the Tigers Broke Free,” yes? I actually think the first side works better without that track.
yep it is
That was a fucking waste
nuh uh
