9. Led Zeppelin
10. Mars Volta
The Beatles
The Band
Pink Floyd
Amy Winehouse
Paul McCartney
Top ten songs is impossible to name, but I’d probably have Strawberry Fields Forever at #1.
Good list. My mind can never settle on a top 10 song list, but my band list would include PF, zeppelin, radiohead, beatles, & tom petty. Some others get close, but i rarely get sick of those 5. Ever listen to Les Claypool's "flying frog brigade"? Purple onion is an epic album.
Bands:
1. The Cure
2. Pink Floyd
3. Kendrick Lamar
4. Alice In Chains
5. Paramore
Quite honestly a can’t come up with a top 10 songs right now lol. And even if I could they’d mostly be Cure songs
I can get behind top songs by The Cure!
“Splintered In Her Head” https://youtu.be/-I-9YBqup10

1. Pink Floyd
2. Fleetwood Mac
3. Talking Heads
4. Kate Bush
5. Led Zeppelin
The Beatles, ELO and David Bowie would also hit my top 5 depending on my mood lol.
As far as songs, I couldn’t name a top 10. Some of my current faves would be
1. The entire Ziggy Stardust album - Bowie
2. Shangri-La and Telephone Line - ELO
3. Sirius/Eye in the Sky - Alan Parsons Project
4. Free Bird - Lynyrd Skynyrd
5. Sisters of the Moon - Fleetwood Mac
1: MGMT
2: Pink Floyd
3: Radiohead
4: Fleetwood Mac
5: Dire Straits
I don't really have an order for them but it would probably be something like this.
I could never do a top 10 songs list, or even a top 10 albums list. I could never decide where to put everything.
Favourite bands and songs.
1. Pink Floyd - Time
2. The Doors - Love street
3. Black Sabbath - Killing Yourself to Live
4. Led zeppelin - Since I've Been Loving You
5. Supertramp - Babaji
I’d just like to say that it’s so awesome that these lists are all over the place, many of them a bizarre blend of genres. It speaks to PF’s wide scope of influence and the open mindedness of their fan base.
Pink Floyd, Aphex twin, Boards of Canada , The Cardigans, Bone thugs n harmony
Top songs always change but a few Mainstays would be...
Present tense (radiohead, the johnny thom & cr78 version)
Jigsaw falling into place (Radiohead)
Pros and cons of hitchhiking (Roger Waters, the entire album because I never listen to just one song)
Cloudy sky (cardigans)
Our space (cardigans)
28 organ (Aphex twin)
Avril 14th (Aphex twin)
Peacock tail (Boards of Canada)
Echoes (Pink Floyd)
Patience (guns n roses)
Besides Pink Floyd (who I consider top 3 in terms of accomplishments) a random selection of my favorite bands are:
1) Tool

7) Beck
8) Ozzy
9) Chemical Brothers

13) Hypocrisy
14) Therion
15) Amorphis
16) Arcturus
✌️❤️
I lived and breathed Red House Painters/Sun Kil Moon for years but all the allegations against Mark make it difficult to go back to some of those albums. Still, impossible to deny the beauty and creativity of so much of the music. April, Admiral Fell Promises, and Old Ramon are such core records to me.
Top 5 is
1. Bee Gees (including their solo stuff)
2. The Beatles (also solo stuff)
3. Pink Floyd (and Rogers solo stuff)
4. Modern Baseball
5. Sidney Gish
The who / Pete Townsend
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Led zep

With the who and Townsend number one and everyone else 2 through 10;depending on the day
I evidently can’t read or count. Just listed my top 10 bands… songs…
That is tougher
In no order: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Dire Straits, Bob Dylan, Yes, Tom Petty, Allman Brothers(i said no order but they’re definitely up there), Thin Lizzy, Hendrix, Supertramp, ABBA
Bands other than Pink Floyd that I currently listen to (changes frequently) - Top Bands - does not include solo artists

4. All Them Witches
5. Radiohead
Top 10 songs (changes less)

I'm Amazed - My Morning Jacket
Detlef Schrimpf - Band of Horses
Rhiannon - Fleetwood Mac
The River - Manchester Orchestra
The Logical Song - Supertramp
The Universe - Gregory Alan Isakov
Narrowing it down to a top 5 is tough. Would probably be Pink Floyd, Van Der Graf Generator, David Bowie, Yes, Genesis?
I'm more of a listen to full albums over individual songs type of person, so top 10 songs are impossible. Foxtrot, Diamond Dogs, Moving Pictures, and Wee Small Hours are probably the ones I listen to most often?
Pink Floyd.........and then:
Soundgarden
Psychedelic Furs
Comsat Angels
The Cure
Husker Du
Rush
Janes Addiction
Echo & the Bunnymen
Def Leppard
The Who
The Cult
Big Country
Because they are all too good not to list.
Top 5 Bands:

Favorite Songs:
1. Time
2. Wish You Were Here
3. Shine On You Crazy Diamond (Pts 1-9)
4-10. The rest of WYWH & DSOTM
I am also floored by the general lack of Radiohead on this list. Back in the late 90s and early 2000s there was an absolutely huge crossover between Radiohead and Pink Floyd fans.
Only 5? Not easy..
1. Pink Floyd
2. Porcupine Tree / Steven Wilson solo
3. Midnight Oil
4. The Angels (aka Angel City)
5. Dire Straits
10 songs? More difficult. Ok, NOT in order 😁:

9. Read About It (MO)
10. Power And The Passion (MO)
Cheers all! 🎶
My grandad recently bought me an Allman Brothers record at an antique store. The record was in perfect condition, just the sleeve was a little rough. Haven’t been able to sit down and listen to it yet, might do that later today 🤘🏻

2. Frankie and the Witch Fingers
3. Osees/Thee Oh Sees/OCS
4. All Them Witches
5. Tool
Honorable mentions: Geese, Khruangbin, Babe Rainbow
Top 10 songs is way harder and I will not do it, top 10 albums would be a bit easier but still difficult lol. Finding the GratefulDead, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix lead me down the path of psych music. I had been doing psychs (tabs) for years and never thought to check out rock music while tripping lol. Retrospectively the music helps me relate to the times I had on it and the heavy mental stimulation. My tastes went in the garage rock/psych/prog/metal direction as time passed I found modern bands making music I love.
Tough to pick 5 but these would probably be heaviest rotation the last 10 years
In no particular order, Grateful Dead, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Animal Collective, Ween, Kikagaku Moyo
GD: Terrapin Station, Help on the Way > Slipknot > Franklins Tower. Gizz: Ghandi, Float Along Fill Your Lungs. AnCo: We Tigers, Defeat. Ween: Stallion Pt. 1, Did You See Me?. KM: Smoke and Mirrors,
Other favorite bands/artists (other than Pink Floyd) in no particular order:
-City And Colour
-Talking Heads
-Peter Gabriel

I don't know if I could name my 10 definitive favorite songs, so I'll just list 10 that stick out to me in no particular order:
-"Take It Back" - Pink Floyd
-"The Tower That Ate People (Red Planet Remix)" - Peter Gabriel
-"Fake You Out" - twenty one pilots
-"The Boys of Summer" - Don Henley

1- Alice In Chains

5. Frog Brigade
6. JGB

Camel
Alan Parsons
Wu Tang
Tool
SOAD
Widespread
RRE
Willy Nelson
Marty Robbins
Billy Strings
Talking Heads
Love Phish at #1, and love that you've got JGB over the Dead. As huge of a Deadhead as I am, I always kind of preferred what Jerry was doing when he wasn't tied to Bobby, et al.
Your list is by far the one I've most closely matched up with in this post.
Bands (after Pink Floyd): Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Helloween, Candlemass, Dio
Favorite songs (no order): Echoes, Stargazer, Ride the sky, Keeper of the seven keys, Solitude, Rainbow in the dark, The sign of the southern cross, Electric eye, Painkiller

Zero 7- Kruder and Dorfmeister- Tosca- Hugo Kant- Frank Zappa- Akasha- The Avalanches- Austin Lounge Lizards- John Hartford- Kendrick Lamar-
My musical taste has evolved so much over (especially) the last 15 or so years. I still love to listen the music that captured me from my teens through to my 40's, but my tastes have changed, and honestly I'm grateful. I have found so much lovely music in the last 15 years :)
If you ask me what I'm listening to a year from now, some of these will still be on (the second) list, and hopefully I will have found some more lovely music to adore :)

Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness is a great album
As much as I love the highlights of MC, there is a bit too much bloat for me. Siamese Dream has none. It's a masterpiece from start to finish.
early REM is so good

My grandad recently bought me an Allman Brothers record at an antique store. The record was in perfect condition, just the sleeve was a little rough. Haven’t been able to sit down and listen to it yet, might do that later today 🤘🏻
all the music..... except country....or western.
Agreed, 99.9% of country is ass
Portugal. the Man Modest Mouse My Morning Jacket Built to Spill Black Sabbath

1. King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard 2. Frankie and the Witch Fingers 3. Osees/Thee Oh Sees/OCS 4. All Them Witches 5. Tool Honorable mentions: Geese, Khruangbin, Babe Rainbow Top 10 songs is way harder and I will not do it, top 10 albums would be a bit easier but still difficult lol.
Tough to pick 5 but these would probably be heaviest rotation the last 10 years In no particular order, Grateful Dead, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Animal Collective, Ween, Kikagaku Moyo GD: Terrapin Station, Help on the Way > Slipknot > Franklins Tower. Love Phish at #1, and love that you've got JGB over the Dead. As huge of a Deadhead as I am, I always kind of preferred what Jerry was doing when he wasn't tied to Bobby, et al. Your list is by far the one I've most closely matched up with in this post.

Zero 7- Kruder and Dorfmeister- Tosca- Hugo Kant- Frank Zappa- Akasha- The Avalanches- Austin Lounge Lizards- John Hartford- Kendrick Lamar- My musical taste has evolved so much over (especially) the last 15 or so years. I still love to listen the music that captured me from my teens through to my 40's, but my tastes have changed, and honestly I'm grateful. I have found so much lovely music in the last 15 years :) If you ask me what I'm listening to a year from now, some of these will still be on (the second) list, and hopefully I will have found some more lovely music to adore :)

And obviously a whole slew of others beyond these. I'm a huge jazz fan, love old reggae, funk, soul and blues, some metal, lotta psychedelic and prog stuff, 90s grunge and alt, old punk. I'm into a lot of scenes, just depends on what feels right for the day. I don't think I could possibly name favorite songs, but I can say for sure that Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald is way up there.
