Love it! You nailed all the parts and the vibe is there, which I think is the hardest thing to capture. Great solution for the pedal steel, I'm not sure I've seen it done that way, but now I want to try.
Thanks! Yea wasn't going to go get a pedal steel for one song - with an electric guitar it just needs a TON of delay, reverb and phaser and it works OK. Isn't quite the same tone but I think it turned out alright :)
I used the delay on the Keeley Dark Side pedal (Which I used for the main guitar tone also, with the univibe setting. Really good piece of kit.)
Reverb was just a ton of it slapped onto the digital amp on garageband.
Great job! Personally, I would change a few small things in the mix trying to achieve that wonderful sound, drop the harmonizing vocal levels down a bit, record a second main vocal, and adjust the snare either through eq or tuning. All in all, that’s just some constructive nitpicking and this is really well done!
Thanks!! Yep that snare sound drove me mad. Couldn't replicate it in post for the life of me and I'm not a drummer - Didn't help that the place i recorded it had a ton of natural reverb
It is double tracked vocals here but perhaps Dave had more than 2 track, unsure
Thanks for watching :)
18 years ago. Started playing Piano when 5
Dropped piano at like age 12
Started Clarinet until maybe 17
Picked up Bass guitar at 13 and have been playing since
Music GCSE and A Level
Self taught acoustic guitar for about 2/3 years
Self taught on electric guitar for near 1 year
Still no idea about drums lol but I can mimic decently
It's very accurate to Dave's sound, even his early Saucerful of Secrets setup where he only really used a Fuzzface, Binson Echorec and a vox wah wah.
Though with any guitarist the distinctive sound comes from his fingers more than the pedals
I wouldn't recommend for a live setting though as due to that fact it's basically 4 pedals in one you would need to do a lot of manual changes between songs

What kind of delay and verb did you use?

Nice! I’ve always wanted to play around with the dark side. GC just started stocking it so maybe I’ll get to. Cheers, great cover sounded fantastic
You got the tone closer than I ever could.
Best rendition I’ve seen period my friend. Congratulations!

Oh definitely, so many people these days don’t bother with replicating and go straight for drum replacement, so I applaud you for going for it
Damn, six months? That's a lot of time but it turned out to be time well spent.
And then one day you find 6 months have got behind you
Yea I left it alone for weeks on end due to work/life commitments but it's just been a side project while I learned how to best replicate each sound
Enjoyed what you did here. Sounded really good! What’s next: Echoes?!
Will take a decade at current rate
Amazing. Really fantastic.
Good stuff, man! Do you plan on doing any more?
Definitely! I've got the equipment now so it's a possibility
Are you sticking with Floyd or doing something different? Pigs (3 different ones) would be a fun one to tackle
Might go for some Radiohead next. Planning in getting more electronic equipment
Paranoid Android would be excellent
Perfect! So impressed!!
Awesome job! Really impressed. You managed to capture the sound and feeling really really well.
Hope you can make some Money with this video
I appreciate the Floydy pun :) Just uploading for fun not planning on monitizing it
Nice, and you even wore Roger's favorite shirt! Awesome rendition
Amazing!

You are one hell of a talented guy. Kudos!
That is so awesome. Great job, dude.
Excellent work young sir
gave me chills, just like the original version. excellent job!
well done, young man.
That was hot.
Really nice! One thing I missed is some oomph on the synth, especially the part at “run rabbit run”. But besides that really awesome job!
Fantastic work. I shared your cover to r/music if that's okay with you. Looks and sounds professionally made. Well done!
Fucking fantastic ⚡️🧠
thank you, great work!
Amazing!! Really great job
Dude yes
Awesome! You must have learned a lot doing this.
Love it
Very cool
Incredible. Well done sir.
When did you start playing music and how long?

awesome. sounds amazing. one of my favorite. how’s that keely pedal? univibe sounds perfect on it

right on, ill look into it. thanks man
Holy shit this is the best Breathe cover I have ever seen
Those 6 months were not wasted!
The one man band is fantastic, that is really what I think.
My man! That was breath taking, truly unbelievable. I'm kind of jealous right now :)
Thank you thank you thank you! Don't worry lol you should have heard how bad it sounded before I perfected all the parts over a silly amount of time
That's the beauty of the evolution you've made. I guess you've learned some tricks in the process.
