This!
We are not sorting the best rock bands!
The question is; if PF is your most fav, which one goes next. That means your favorite type of music is psychedelic rock or progressive rock. Beatles is NOT a prog/psyc rock, although it’s one of the best bands ever. Camel IS a prog rock band. Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler is a prog rock band as well. In this genre we can name Genesis (And Steve Hackett), Steve Wilson, Queen (somewhat).
I am a super PF fan, Rush is great, but Rush can’t be my second choice.
So, what we do here is regardless of PF. We’re just sorting famous well-known rock bands!! My 2 cents.
Oh boy I could talk about them for hours! I also admire the guitar work on Rhayader gows to town, La princesse perdue and chord change. Even their more poppy songs are excellent (even tho I prefer sticking to the root of the band).
Uncultured swine a lot of ye are! Grateful dead should have been number 2. God Damn Beatles. Lmao.
Sad I had to scroll this far to see The Dead as well. ):
Their pre-*OK computer* and post *In Rainbows* catalogue has been disappointing for me. Definitely bands with solid discographies front to back above them right now.
Alan Parsons was the Abbey Road engineer on DSOTM. And Parsons brought in a friend, Clare Torry, to sing on Great Gig in the Sky. Also engineered on a Beatles, was it Abbey Road?
Today is my APP awakening day. Never listened to them before I saw so many votes on here. I am now fully and completely converted…..and slightly blown away how I can go my whole life without them.
where's genesis in these comments. probably the most fun band that I can think of. lighthearted satirical music that sounds stellar and talks about serious political topics is what I love. Jethro Tull too but I prefer genesis
Jimi Hendrix
Radiohead
The doors
Send your votes to the other doors recommendation. Is polling second to Hendrix.
BLACK SABBATH
David Bowie
Jimi Hendrix
Camel
One of my fav bands, they're absolutely genius.
If pink floyd are my home, camel are my second home. Really brilliant band.

I recently ''discovered'' Dire Straits This word is thrown around alot, but I genuinely think Mark Knopfler is truly underrated.
Just because you just discovered Dire Straits doesn't mean they are "truly underrated", they were one of the biggest rock bands in the world.
