I'll give an anti-recommendation for Noel Prevost. She was adamant she knew all about my presenting concern, but (among other things) she gave me incorrect information and tried to convince me to stop taking an important medication. She said my derm concern never resolved without stopping the med, which is untrue and easy to verify.
It was a bad and bewildering experience. My primary care doctor recommended that in the future I should see derms at Shadyside, not Falk.
Noel Prevost diagnosed my melanoma, which another doc (non-derm) missed. I was subsequently treated by Drs Ahn and Pugliano-Mauro, who practice out of UPMC St Margaret’s. All three were professional, diligent and supportive throughout my treatment.
I went to a UPMC dermatologist recently, and nobody ran my health insurance until I was walking out the door.
I gave my information twice, once to the scheduler, once to the desk at check-in.
I'm probably going to have to eat a $600 bill now.
If you're deadset on UPMC, make sure you verify your insurance beforehand because they won't.
Dr. Guerrero at Shadyside Dermatology! She’s very friendly, no complaints.
Dr. Mary Sheehan
Dr. Costa at Forefront Dermatology in Shadyside. They take UPMC Health Plan
Jason Oberdick the Physician’s Assistant at Forefront is also excellent!!
And I recommend Dr. Nadia Sundlass at Forefront in Shadyside. Additionally, the office staff has been fantastic every single time.

Shadyside is also a teaching hospital. Not sure how that's at all relevant, though. Pretty much all of the best hospitals are teaching hospitals.

Dr Obagi in Shadyside.
Not Dr. Olga Bunimovich.
