Don't know why you're getting down voted. Lots of assumptions there.
The convenience store selling pipes is too true. They are not weed pipes. I worked at a store that sold them under the table. A "rose and chor". It's honestly really sad that they're making money off these people like this.
"How do you know it was a crackhead"
OH BOY GEEZ EVERYONE'S DEFENDING CRACK THIS IS WHY THE CITY IS DEAD OH JESUS I GUESS EVERYONE LOOOOOOVESSSS CRACKHEADS
You just can't go around blaming groups of people for random problems without evidence, is all. People on crack do enough actual terrible things; we don't need to pin Shit Arson on them, too.
Fun fact most damage towards homeless encampments and surrounding areas are done by people who see them as easy targets they can also pin the blame on. Don’t know if that’s what happened here.

Im sorry you can publish whatever article you want but I have to walk past the encampment under 376 everyday and after this exposure I will never agree with your statement. Now you have to decide what damage means but i can start with what i would consider to be a few examples. Well start with the trashing of the trail which includes littered needles, feces, used toilet paper, and other belongings. Then we have the graffiti that says “fuck a duck 4 luck” and the fire that melted all the paint on the overpass girders. Last they are trenching next to the highway in the purpose of having a piss. But heck this is just the people trying to make them look bad sure….
While your perspective is real, it’s a small sample size of people. I’m not saying homeless people don’t negatively effect the city. Im just adding a different perspective to the conversation.
To anyone reading, not necessarily FlappyFoldyHold:
We don’t know who did this and for OP to automatically blame a crackhead perpetuates generalized stereotypes. Take a listen to the podcast I linked. They mostly discuss LA’s homeless population, but the conversation offers more perspective to a larger issue. As this problem continues to effect pittsburgh, we should be blaming the real villains, the government, for not providing shelter. Trenches and loose needles wouldn’t be an issue in the streets if there weren’t people on the streets. I don’t offer solutions or answers, I know just as much as the next guy, but I believe that conversations like these are the roots of real change. We the people need to have factual conversations about these issues if we expect politicians to make sustainable change. If you care about the homeless, take a listen to this podcast link, and continue to expand your education about important topics such as these. Ok I’ll put my soap box away now. Thanks if anyone read this far.
Oh and i totally agree this could have been burnt down by anyone with a lighter.
But the reality is we are all just really smart mammals and SHOULD help each other as much as we possibly can. That being said it is not a given right to have shelter, although it would be nice if everyone did.
The truth of the matter is we are all struggling to survive each and every day and we do better if we help each other and act neighborly. What is not neighborly is setting up a tent and treating the public space as your own because it is convenient.
“animals” “savages”
I hate pointless destruction as much as anyone but JFC it’s a goddamn portapotty, it really doesn’t warrant dehumanization of addicts (regardless of whether an addict actually destroyed it)
If you go around lighting shit on fire you've graduated from addict who has my sympathy to just general asshole who happens to be an addict as well.
Being an addict does not absolve you of responsibility or consequence nor judgement. There are tons and tons of addicts who don't go around doing this shit because they aren't assholes. Dont be a dick. Its pretty basic.
Possibly, but based on their comment getting downvoted into oblivion at the bottom of this comment section, they really only care about bathrooms. /joke
For the nine millionth time, people aren't animals. Even horrible people. Also, my crackhead family wouldn't even bother to hide in a port-a-potty to smoke. This is more likely some arsonist delinquent kid or something.
so the savage that executed Jacob Jaillet isn't an animal!? there are plenty of humans that need to be put down. They don't hold a candle to animals. And that' maniac is one of them
This is a truly apt welcome to Pittsburgh for Skenes. 7 runs in the same inning you got pulled from and a Portashitter fire. Welcome to the Buccos, Paul.
I hate when people call others “crackheads.” Firstly, it’s inherently racist. I’ll happily explain if you can’t figure out why.
Secondly, addicted people don’t equal people who do X, Y, Z. How do you know a dumb teenager didn’t do this? Or a pyromaniac? Or someone who has other mental illnesses?
Lastly, even if someone is an addict and does stupid things, calling them names seems oddly cruel.
Just something to think about. Or not.
Crackheads are all races, the fact you call that inherently racist indicates a psychological trigger and possibly a diagnosis may be needed. I have some references at UPMC satellite facilities if u want to reach out
Lmfao. I can only imagine every thing that u THINK is racist. That would be a hilarious list I'm sure.
And if u knew any recovered addicts, then maybe you would know better as to what they would call most addicts and even themselves when they were at their worst...
I can tell from ur pretentious, pompous post you have neither experienced actual racism and have never been an addict let alone around addicts or even know an addict ever.
So just move along with ostentatious post... 🙄🙄🙄
The junkies are getting out of hand one sits out front of my apartment all day yapping taking his dirty ass shoes off n leaves trash all over now he found a chair and just posts up out front all day as people bring him shit
I've been to larger cities in the south and Midwest and they actually have public restrooms. They conquered the junkie problem by putting black lights so they can't see their veins. Also the savages that like to destroy bathrooms intentionally know what will happen to them if they get caught. These dirtbags here are just out of control! I've never seen so many disgusting people.
was just watching a vintage clip on Johnny Carson with Richard Pryor last nite that was very enlightening. He was asked what was new and he said, "Welp apparently I'm now a Black comedian, as Colored Comedian is no longer accepted by certain factions of society, especially Hollywood ." I laughed at loud because now it's completely flipped again and it's "Person of Color Comedian " and Black comedian is racist. Just hilarious how people like to change terms to fit their virtue signaling. I'm currently homeless. Big Fckn deal. it's a term, it doesn't mean sh!t and i'm not offended by it
Yeah the word “homeless” has fallen out of style and it’s come to have a negative connotation and is frequently used disrespectfully. Y’all get real sensitive when people decide a different word is better.
Gee, what’s wrong with demeaning someone for a situation they have little control over and have few avenues out of, since all of the systems to “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” are usually gatekept by needing a mailing address?
Everything is wrong with it - have compassion for your fellow human.
Edit: I need to spotlight that you responded to “you view unhoused people as subhuman” with “Yes” and nothing else. Jesus Christ. The lack of empathy is astounding
I don’t drink coffee but claim virtue signaling all you want - I don’t really overthink the distinction between “homeless” and “unhoused” and just try to be good, which includes being more gracious with my language. Give folks who are down on their change or extra cash when I can. I don’t think putting my money where my mouth is indicates virtue signaling personally.
As in my other comment, I hope things look up for you.
Not all unhoused people use drugs. Implying that they do is rooted in many layers of prejudice and bigotry. Seems you have it in droves. I hope for your sake you never have the taste your own bitter medicine
Only 98%. I'll accept your correction.
And don't worry. I will never be drug addled nor homeless. I got out of the 80's without a drug habit, so that ain't happening. And I have minimum 40 households that put me up, no questions asked.
If anyone ends up with no where to go, a series of poor decisions and burnt bridges led to it.
Or, they just suck at making solid lifelong friends.
More charming?
Can a vagabond have a car? Perhaps not his? Gifted by a former GF, but no title? Something like that.
I do think they smell better than a bum. But not sure why. I could be wrong.
i bet that smelled great.
Oh the dioxin!
But, is it Art?
No. It's John.
Boooo.... Hissss ........ LOL!
I'll be here all night (unfortunately for everyone else)
Don't forget to tip your bartender!
Bartender heard my joke, turned off the lights, and left .
No. This is Patrick.
I came here to say the same thing. 😂
Great minds......
I think it's a Banksy
This is true. Will get stolen tomorrow and auctioned next week.
His brother, River Banksy !
No, this is Patrick
The title card should read: “6th inning 5/11/24” Anonymous Mixed Media 2024
Randy will be along shortly with a trailer.
I don’t know much about art, but I know what I like.
Definitely. It's a piece critiquing late-stage capitalism's effect on urban blight.
More of a fart
^
"Yeah, you can melt art."
Sorry, I had some Psycho wings from Jiggers
Not the Jiggers shoutout 🤣🤣🤣
I just spat turners lemonade all over my phone, you hilarious asshole
Are you sure it was not a meth head? Crack seems very 90s
Crack is legitimately making a comeback in Pittsburgh

It was one of those youths gone crazy on angel dust
This happened at 8 am last week
As we all know, people who are cripplingly addicted to crack are absolutely at their peak at 8am
That is simply not true my neighbors are most active at 3 am fixing their motorcycle and sweeping our street
Also I was next to this porta potty at the red light while it was on fire I didn’t see a crackhead
They turn invisible with fire tho.
Peak crackism can not be bound by time!
8am is about the time my crack peaks too ☕️
This is why we can’t have nice things. Or porta-potties
Q: How much crack have you smoked? A: enough to burn down the porta potty when I dropped it down the poo well
So shave your face with some Mace in the Mon Savin all your food stamps….
and burnin down the porta potty by PNC Park
*guitar chords* Yo
Burn it
Yinz Jeet?
Bob Nutting burned it down for the insurance money.
Reminds me of the chernobyl elephants foot. Let’s make some fun puns…shall we?! I’ll go first Pirates radioactively irrelevant foot?
How do you know that it was a crackhead specifically?
Oh thank god, the crackhead defenders are here. And they are downvoting me. Hooray for crackheads!
"How do you know it was a crackhead" OH BOY GEEZ EVERYONE'S DEFENDING CRACK THIS IS WHY THE CITY IS DEAD OH JESUS I GUESS EVERYONE LOOOOOOVESSSS CRACKHEADS
You just can't go around blaming groups of people for random problems without evidence, is all. People on crack do enough actual terrible things; we don't need to pin Shit Arson on them, too.
Well, Shit Arson is going in the ol’ band name notebook.
I thought we were kind of joking about the whole thing
Me asking OP for more information about their apparently rage-filled accusation is defending the use of crack cocaine? Okay
It is I, the staunch Crack Defender(TM), you leave those Men of Crack (MoC) alone
Fun fact*- Men of Crack was the first late 70s NYC Punk era band made up exclusively by plumbers * That I just made up
Where's that band name notebook?
Hooray for the riff raff
Fun fact most damage towards homeless encampments and surrounding areas are done by people who see them as easy targets they can also pin the blame on. Don’t know if that’s what happened here.

Ofc! I would love to find a time stamp for you but I’m out at dinner. Great podcast highly recommend.

ahh, the ever-so-nostalgic smelle of pirates baseball...
Quit yer whining and piss into the river like a real man. 🕺🏻💦
That was definitely some teenage boys and not a crackhead
My first thought when I saw the road above it was someone tossed a cigarette out the passenger side window with no idea what was below it.
A cigarette butt did not start this fire
“animals” “savages” I hate pointless destruction as much as anyone but JFC it’s a goddamn portapotty, it really doesn’t warrant dehumanization of addicts (regardless of whether an addict actually destroyed it)

Jeez. Only if u actually knew some recovered addicts and hear what they say about most addicts...😕😕😕
Addicts are vile scum who don’t deserve respect or love.
I bet OP blames all of their problems on crackheads
Im a lot more frightened at the thought of a sober person burning a porta potty down.
It's the new 'thanks Obama'
Possibly, but based on their comment getting downvoted into oblivion at the bottom of this comment section, they really only care about bathrooms. /joke
Somebody smoked up all his crack. Wasnt me.
Did you physically see someone smoking crack in there that led to the fire? Or are you just a miserable human.
shit sorry i had a bunch of taco bell the night before
How do we know it was a crack head?
Or someone had too much Taco Bell.
Now I know how port-a-potties look on the inside
Was it everything you ever imagined?
And more
Saxboy…
The most annoying man on the universe
Damn I thought everybody loved Saxboy
Stay classy, Pgh! 😅
ROMPERSTOMPER HAS ENTERED THE GAME. AND SHES ON FIRE.
I put one of these out the other week. I posted it on r/firefighting
And that's why we don't eat at Taco Bell.
Somebody should turn it into a meme.
I’m so glad we can’t smell pictures.
Bob Nutting was able to take a tax write-off on it, so burn it did.
Romper stomper heard Livy Dunn was in town and had to send a message.
I’m so impressed , I have questions
For the nine millionth time, people aren't animals. Even horrible people. Also, my crackhead family wouldn't even bother to hide in a port-a-potty to smoke. This is more likely some arsonist delinquent kid or something.
so the savage that executed Jacob Jaillet isn't an animal!? there are plenty of humans that need to be put down. They don't hold a candle to animals. And that' maniac is one of them
What a jagoff
One too many Takis
Taco bell
Ah no, they just had a Pittsburgher at pnc park
And this is why we can’t have nice things.
That’s a perfect metaphor for the Pirates.
Damn, talk about blowing up the bathroom
I thought maybe somebody took a toxic crap
Lol
More cameras
This is the second one of these I’ve seen in a few months. The last one was closer to Allegheny Center/Nova Place. There was charred bacon in it.
Andy Warhol Approved
I assumed it was a bad experience with a Renegade Dog.
Damn the Paul Skenes debut was lit!
This is a truly apt welcome to Pittsburgh for Skenes. 7 runs in the same inning you got pulled from and a Portashitter fire. Welcome to the Buccos, Paul.
That's a first IDK how he or she did it
Soylent green

Was this portapotty kin to you or something?
User name checks out
Whoa. This is satire right?
“Conquered the junkie problem” 😂 gtfoh you’ve never been outside of Pittsburgh
Okay calm down
Seriously, like sir this is an Arby’s (on McKnight)
Probably the Arby's on 19 in Cranberry
Which cites in the south/midwest conquered the junkies problem?
>I've never seen so many disgusting people. Stop looking in the mirror then
Crack is generally smoked, not injected into veins.
Okay so you hate unhoused people and view as sub-human, cool. Fuck yourself.
was just watching a vintage clip on Johnny Carson with Richard Pryor last nite that was very enlightening. Yes. "Un- housed"! Ha! I love narrative changing labels. What's wrong with "filthy"?

i'm homeless and find it disrespectful that you use the term unhoused to fine tune your virtual signaling while u drink ur $6 coffees
I don’t drink coffee but claim virtue signaling all you want - I don’t really overthink the distinction between “homeless” and “unhoused” and just try to be good, which includes being more gracious with my language. That's why I prefer "junkie". Calling it like it is.
Not all unhoused people use drugs. Implying that they do is rooted in many layers of prejudice and bigotry. Seems you have it in droves. I hope for your sake you never have the taste your own bitter medicine

Your stupidity is baffling. Have fun being a miserable and hateful person.
Sorry I'm not "pro- light a porta potty on fire".
I prefer the word “bum”. Homeless has too much dignity.
So you lack empathy and an understanding of how homelessness happens. Cool! Thanks for making it clear that you’re an asshole.
I like bum. Which is a lazy hobo.
Where does vagabond fit on this spectrum?
More charming? Can a vagabond have a car? Perhaps not his? Gifted by a former GF, but no title? Something like that. I do think they smell better than a bum. But not sure why. I could be wrong.
Do you mean those experiencing a lack of bathing?
Unbathed.
I guess that is a term you could use if you were an unempathetic trump supporter
What if I was an unempathetic Fetterman supporter?
Now or in 2022? It also depends on your stance on chasing down unarmed black men with a shotgun in 2022 or now, very important.
It's up to you. You're the one that cares.
I thought you were playing along with me but sadly it seems like you are just a dick like 99% of the rest of this sub. Oh well, good day to you.
👍
Downvoted for not appreciating junkies.
I mean, this guy is showing how he feels about people with mental illness...and it ain't in a positive light, were you expecting praise?
From reddit, no? Bastion of mental illness and all those that proudly wear their afflictions.
Haven't seen anything prideful other than the people who look down their beaks and down on people with mental illness and substance abuse issues.
There’s no point…
Rub his nose in it. Maybe warm it back up first.
hell yeah crackheads 🆙 ‼️
