I've been growing these mammoth sunflowers from seed in bags with very good drainage (70 coco/perlite) indoors with a grow light that pretty much runs 12 hours. I feed it with liquid fertilizer "grow big" and calmag with reverse osmosis water. I feed weekly and water when the coco dries up- its obvious with the change in color. So far its been really happy for 2 months until these symptoms hit. It starts off with the bottom leaves discoloring to a yellow-green blotching then it wilts and dries up, then it works its way up. There's actually two plants there in that single pot (was gonna chop the the runt later) and both had the same symptoms and started at the same time. There are no obvious infestation but there are only a single insect bite mark as you can see in that tiny spot in the pic. This is not the first time I've seen this, it happened to another younger batch (as you can see that empty space there). I did an autopsy on the other plant that died the same way, and the roots looked really healthy, nice and white, with decent looking air roots. Stem looked healthy also but I failed to check for discolorations in the xylem. I'm stumped but I guess its some disease I can't control. It sucks and I was just about to transplant this on soil too.
