In case anyone is wondering: a hurricane knocked the tree sideways years ago, but it didn't die. From then on it grew upwards, making that sharp bend.
I imagined that would've been the case. It's cool how weird things like these happen.

This can't be ark. There's no 50ft reflection of the tree in all nearby water sources.
