I mean, alcreamies not that hard. If all you want is an alcreamie and not a specific color, then it’s not much more work than an evo stone. The rest are 100% absurd though
See Scarlet/Violet annoys with some of these. You have to get a certain amount of steps without a pedometer for I think two or so separate Pokémon evolutions….And then for
flipping Sinistea you have to have a certain item that is not easy to obtain because even with the market, it takes ages. Oh and you have to have the exact item type for whatever version you have or it won’t evolve. Oh and don’t even get me started on the Gimmighoul coins.
To me it’s less about the trial and more about the decision of when to evolve them. I try not to evolve things until I see fit (like waiting until the 4th or 5th gym to evolve vulpix or somethin), and it kinda stresses me cuz I don’t wanna do it too early and not make memories with them while they’re still in their first form, I need to be able to get emotionally invested in my Pokémon
You say that but, My Galarian galarian farfetch'd evolved literally in the first battel I used it in, it didn’t even level up. Im not jokeing when I say I hadd my Galarian Farfetch for like 45s or something before it evolved.
It would be better than trade evolutions, one of my favorite pokemon is the ghastly line, I hate having to trade my haunter to someone and have them trade it back for my gengar, it feels wrong to me on a certain level. If it was a condition like knock out fifty pokemon with haunter I would appreciate that more than hoping I have a friend who has the game or if I’m playing without the internet.
My fear is finding a stranger to trade with and them keeping my haunter/gengar when the trade is complete
Alakazam is my favorite tradevolution so I feel your pain
I would take those evolution methods (I actually think they're interesting and fun) over trade evolutions (or union circle evolutions) any day.

Basculine is similar but he has to take 294 damage, specifically just from recoil damage, all without fainting and then level up
It's cumulative tho, so you can still heal him up. Definitely not as bad as Galarian Yamask.
Galarian yamask was just give it a focus sash and walk under a rock. The hardest part was discovering it

If it's something that can reasonably be figured out by the player on their own, that's fine sure whatever. Runerigus evo is fucking stupid
