Torracat is the size of a german shepard - doable, but not nearly as nice as a normal cat.
Incineroar is *5'11" and 180 pounds*.
So you would literally go from a house pet you could feed with a can or two of food a day, to a whole person you had to deal with.
The only real choice is to either not evolve litten at all or to only take him to Torracat; Incineroar is to much.
Plus it would feel really weird given how human-like it is. It’s one thing to walk into the living room to a cute little cat on my couch but I’d be a little shook if I walked in and there was a 6 foot cat man on my couch

They might look that way, but according to the pokedex that little fella is starving and already under the effects yet unable to stop it. For me at least parasect no longer is conscious so you dont need to worry about it thinking about the fact its losing more and more of its mental faculties every day.

Honestly, I think they should have just made Pawmi evolve directly into Pawmot and leave it at that. It didn't need to be a 3-stage line, Pawmo just feels like filler. I mean, it *hardly* changes, and it's existence weakens the impact of evolving into Pawmot because it makes the line change WAY too gradually. With it, it falls into the trap of "It's the same but a bit bigger," whereas without it would *feel* like a more significant change. Even then, it still falls into that trap, just not as bad.
Basically, I like Pawmot but I think Pawmo ruins the line and shouldn't exist.
Sword and Shield was not at all a game I enjoyed all that much, the dialogue was so cringy. But I. LOVE. Grookey. My biggest regret was evolving him at all. Grookey gang all the way.

For one he's adorable just the way he is, but also having a shellder clamped on him seems like it would be painful. He can either have this symbiote eating his arm, tail or clamped on his skull. As a responsible pet owner i keep my little babies parasite free.

Snorunt. Galalie & Frosslass are murderous psycopaths, Snorunt is adorable and safe. I don't recall any Pokedex entries that show it in a negative light so I wouldn't evolve that guy.
In no particular order, and I’m definitely forgetting some crucial ones, but here’s a team of six off the top of my head:
Gloom, Haunter, Scyther, Wartortle, Gligar, and Grovyle.
Because Vileplume, Gengar, Scizor, Blastoise, Gliscor, and Sceptile feel so much more clumsy, overladen, and slow based off of their clunky designs in comparison (or in the case of Gliscor more robotic)
Haunter has cool floating hands, and a spooky jack-o-lantern mouth, only to turn into Gengar, who looks like a purple version of Clefable with a smile that looks penciled in… oh… and mixed with the pillsbury dough boy
Spheal. The evolutions do absolutely no right to that adorable little round doofus! Spheal is literally so damn cute and then the evolutions are just "meh" for Sealeo and "ohgodswhy" for Walrein. Definitely giving my Spheal an everstone!
My little Ziggy the Zigzagoon from ORAS. He was my early game HM slave but I had a headcannon that when he wasnt in my party he was back at home being 'moms' house pet.

I’d also go with Aipom, Chespin, and Fuecoco. I just love these guys in their base forms and was pretty disappointed with their evolutions.
The size situation with nearly all the Starters. I wouldn't push most of them past their Middle Evolution for the fact it would require significant space to house them.
Unless I was traveler or gym leader with dedicated space for them I would be hesitant to evolve anything that be over 4 feet high.
Deino - Evolving it to Zweilous causes it to constantly fight with itself as they dislike eachother and are jealous for attention.
Plus there's the theory that evolving it again means the stronger one of the two takes over the body completely, and the other splits into the mindless heads on its arms.
Keep Deino small and happy, so he doesn't have to suffer.
Galarian Meowth. I became attached after watching the Pokémon Journeys series in which they were featured with Purserker. I'd travel with that little guy all over. I have a galarian meowth in Pokémon Violet that I gave an everstone to, but I still leveled up to 100.
I saw the title and was about to say dewott before I saw you already said it, Dewott is absolutely the best stage of the piplup line. When I played black I refused to evolve it for a long time because even if samurott may have higher stats, dewott is just a better pokemon. Also this is probably by design because it'sthe mascot, but pikachu is way better than raichu, who would want that boring thing when you could have a cute little mouse instead?

Ok so basically I would have a Spheal that is afraid of battling so he just rolls around and exists. Yes he would sometimes chill on my shoulder or in my hood occasionally. Yes he would have pixel shades that he would wear when it gets too bright out.
So more of a pet then anything else lol honestly I feel like having a bunch of little ghost types for pets would be cool a golett shuppet here and then misdreavus lampent Mimikyu I'd be the crazy ghost type lady!
I could list off starters that i wouldnt want to evolve like quilava or torracat or wartortle, but i think my #1 choice regardless of the fact that im the one person who seems to love normal types, would for sure would have to be Porygon2. Z almost seems like it needs to be put out of its mysery, a true manmade horror beyond comprehension when you read 2's pokedex entries about how its learned emotions and things like that then Z's all being along the lines of :
"Its behavior is noticeably unstable, which is apparently due to the incompetence of the engineer who updated its programming." and "A curious item induced this evolution. The Pokémon's offensive capabilities have greatly increased, but the strangeness of its behavior has magnified in equal measure. This worries me."
I prefer Alolan Raichu over Pikachu but the normal form just looks less cute imo. I guess it does look cooler, but there are a lot of cool looking pokemon.
Aesthetically, I love kingambit and annihilape. Definitely agree about Scyther and it's evos. I think all 3 should just be separate mons as they're all so different. They only share bug typing. They all play differently because of their secondary typing.
If we're talking aesthetically, then I'd say Combuskin because I've always liked it better than Blaziken. If we're talking for battle, then it's Chancey because if you give it eviolite, then it's stronger for its job than Blissey.
Side note: I have to strongly disagree with Haunter. Gengar is one of my favorites aesthetically and for battle. Also, it looks awesome when mega evolved and dynamaxed. Just my opinion.
I definitely like gengar it's one of my favorite pokemon (my all time favorite is bannette tho) and I agree it's mega and dynamax is dope so I typically evolve it but I think haunter looks slightly better lol.
If I was in the Pokemon world tho I'd make bannette my mega and leave my haunter the way it is maybe eviolite it which is why i wouldn't evolve it
Gengar will just always have a special place in my heart because it was the first mon I was ever able to trade evolve. And that was back when it was much harder to do, so I fell in love. I was young so Abra was a pain to catch, and I've just never been a fan of the Machop line, although Machamps dyna looks pretty cool.

Another, Pokémon, I’m quite fond of is Braixen who is far superior it’s final evolution it also looks absolutely fabulous.
The first one that pops into my head is Hatenna. Love the design of It's evos, especially Hattrem, but I often struggle with emotional outbursts. I'd be able to handle poor trust, but I wouldn't want to be punished and/or abused for being who I am.
Probably Zigzagoon. Not because I dislike Linoone (Or Obstagoon if it's the Galarian form) at all, but just cause Zigzagoon is my absolute favorite and I love it.
Outside of that, I can't think of any off the top of my head.

Ursaring I'd have a Scyther and its evolutions Don't see myself evolving a Primeape, Yamask or Bisharp either
Aesthetically, I love kingambit and annihilape. Definitely agree about Scyther and it's evos. I think all 3 should just be separate mons as they're all so different. They only share bug typing. They all play differently because of their secondary typing.
If we're talking aesthetically, then I'd say Combuskin because I've always liked it better than Blaziken. If we're talking for battle, then it's Chancey because if you give it eviolite, then it's stronger for its job than Blissey. Side note: I have to strongly disagree with Haunter. Gengar is one of my favorites aesthetically and for battle. Also, it looks awesome when mega evolved and dynamaxed. Just my opinion.
I definitely like gengar it's one of my favorite pokemon (my all time favorite is bannette tho) and I agree it's mega and dynamax is dope so I typically evolve it but I think haunter looks slightly better lol. If I was in the Pokemon world tho I'd make bannette my mega and leave my haunter the way it is maybe eviolite it which is why i wouldn't evolve it
Gengar will just always have a special place in my heart because it was the first mon I was ever able to trade evolve. And that was back when it was much harder to do, so I fell in love. I was young so Abra was a pain to catch, and I've just never been a fan of the Machop line, although Machamps dyna looks pretty cool.
Frogadier, Torchic, Dusclops, Dunsparce, Lickitung, Venipede, Galarian Mr. Mime, Galarian Farfetch'd, Quaxly, Floragato and probably many more.
Sneasel. Such a cool pokemon and I’m not sure Weavile can match it.
I say Eevee. Sure it's eeeveelutions can be adorable but I think Eevee is more adorable.
I'd absolutely never evolve Charmander.
Always and forever ... Eevee. (They are just too cute) I lowkey want a normal eeveelution call it eeveon or something.

Gabite no Question I’m not very fond of Garchomp but I ADORE Gabite so much He’s my comfort Pokémon high key Another, Pokémon, I’m quite fond of is Braixen who is far superior it’s final evolution it also looks absolutely fabulous.
Scraggy for sure
The first one that pops into my head is Hatenna. Love the design of It's evos, especially Hattrem, but I often struggle with emotional outbursts. I'd be able to handle poor trust, but I wouldn't want to be punished and/or abused for being who I am.
Eevee
Probably Zigzagoon. Not because I dislike Linoone (Or Obstagoon if it's the Galarian form) at all, but just cause Zigzagoon is my absolute favorite and I love it. Outside of that, I can't think of any off the top of my head.
I’ve got 2. Slugma is my favorite, but I’m not a fan of the evo. The second is Braixen because I like it more than Delphox
Growing up, aipom was my pretend-out-of-pokeball sidekick, a la Pikachu, so definitely going with that. I also like Hondour more than Houndoom.
