First animals I thought were something like Talonflame for Red Kites as it’s the national bird? Or maybe a different bird for an Osprey?

I live in South Wales and decided to make a Welsh themed team too. Fun to find a lot of them listed here too. Here's my team in case it helps or inspires 😂 (note I also tried to mix up types for a good team)
Charizard - red dragon like (Welsh flag)
Mareep - sheep are everywhere here
Torterra - mountains and hills
Coalossol - coal mines
Sirfetched - Welsh leek
Thievul - foxes are everywhere, especially my home town (I wanted Vulpix or Fennekin but that's fire again).
Nothing speaks Wales more than your team though. I’m Welsh myself and I love this! Someone else suggested Passimian which looks similar to a rugby player, which is Wales favourite, so I would go for Passimian. It’s not a bad Fighting type either
If Passimian is in this game that's the closest you'll get to a Rugby Player.
