I can’t believe you came on my mom… you couldn’t just wake me up to play video games or something?
Sorry, you were balls deep in your bear with a thumb in your mouth
Now think about 2 years from now. Brilliant Stars and Fusion are both solid sets, wouldn't surprise me if they get up there in price not too long from now.
Those stacking tins only have 3 packs and are fairly bulky. Each set is substantially larger than a booster box and only yields 9 packs.
Not a wise purchase. That being said, saying whoever did this deserves to be punished is quite a stretch.
Was thinking exactly the same on both.
Regarding these tins what even is inside? Even if it was like 3 ES each I would probably break them down. That's so much space taken up and would bother me so much.
They don’t even care enough to dust or remove that old radiator so I’m sure it doesn’t bother them too much lol. I mean I’m hoping that’s a non functioning radiator at least 🤔
Punished for buying things? If you want to punish someone, blame the retailer. They allowed this to happen. If you want to stop scalping, you limit purchases so people can’t just buy things in bulk. But they won’t do that because money.
Who cares, pokemon prints a SHIT TON. If more is bought then more will be reprinted to meet demand. Why do you think there's certain sets that are impossible to find these days because pokemon was at its low so they barely did enough print runs since the product was NOT selling. Literally buying more is GOOD FOR THE FUTURE OF THE HOBBY. Cry babies
I got a couple of those at Costco not too long ago on clearance. I think they were around $20 for the 3 tin pack. Fun to rip with my son. But OP definitely went overboard! Costco doesn’t have a limit so no crime here. Good luck OP. Better start ripping or selling them. It took over your room!🤣
Honestly I disagree. Unless these were hard to get and botted, I don’t see anything wrong. Is it foolish to me? Absolutely.
But everybody has a hobby, a take, a trait, something thats severely over the top that people could judge or they’re lacking in. Let people be people.
I hope people don’t judge me for my insane sweet tooth. I walk out of 7/11 with a bunch of candy right before whatever sporting event I watch happens. Way beyond the recommended daily amount.
It’s his investment to make. We all have to do business, make money, have a job, earn a living. This bulk purchase could turn out to be a big financial loss or it could be the best decision of their life. We’re all just trying to figure it out and to put ourselves in a position to get ahead. Some people play fair, some play dirty. As the kids say, don’t hate the player, hate the game 💥
You can hate but people like this keep the hobby alive and well js, he's trying to make a bit of money so what. The more they sell the better the tcg hobby does that's just facts
Meh....
One of three things will happen. They'll either lose control and rip it all open, sell it all for a loss or break even short term, OR they somehow find the space and maintain self-control for several years before they make anything.
My money is on selling it all at a loss when they realize they can't afford to fix their transmission, haha.
Haha its like buying physical stocks. You wouldnt call someone an idiot for investing in a stock they think is undervalued. If i put 10k into a stock would you say i should be punished? You wouldnt.
Are these tins worth buying? I just bought my first packs in over 20 years today. I saw a bunch of these tins but I passed on them because I figured you were getting upcharged for all the extra nonsense
Because they’re smart business people who have discipline and capital? That’s disgusting and deserving of punishment to you? What a depressing world view.
Is there even a chance with what is available in these current packs to find something of value to make it worth it ? I feel like investing into a 1st edition booster box with the chances of pulling the holy grail is a easier and more achievable than whatever is going on here , but I also lack the knowledge of the current Pokémon space !
Evolving Skies packs, as seen here, contain numerous very valuable cards. The most valuable card that you can find in these packs is the Moonbreon, currently valued at $922.90 market rate and much higher for a PSA 10. Many other cards in this set are also pretty valuable, namely the Rayquaza and eeveelution V & VMAX alt-arts.
I mean yeah that is a lot more than normal, and chill the heck out. But I mean, as long as it was overtime and not a mass buy for an area I’d say it is okay. (For like half this, that’s too much lol)
I wish I had enough income to just stack up some stuff, I’d like to have a big variety boxes and stuff :D
These tins suck asss lol so he honestly did us all a favor by getting rid of them all
Also that radiator is touching the product….huge fire hazard right there..karma will engulf all in flames of hell
Do people still take micro scales into stores and weigh packs to they find one that's heavier or lighter than the average and buy only that one? I remember a friend doing that years ago and getting great cards and selling on ebay lol
What an absolute idiot in my opinion as I feel like if you're going to keep product sealed to flip in the future that these style tins are definitely one of the absolute worst products to do that with.
Like this village idiot is going to be really bummed out in 5 years when he is still a virgin and these tins only went up like $5 haha.
Just imagine all that space being taken up with one of the worst products to try and flip and just think of all the activities that could be done haha
Idk it isn’t wise to be a gatekeeper.
Different than Rats because they run a business and are bragging about ripping people off indirectly.
People wanna buy stuff and hold that’s on them. These specifically a bit of a bummer because they would do well with kids…those tins and the cost wise aspect
He has the money, he has the space, he was at Costco before you, so I don’t know what you are moaning about. This is called CAPITALISM that everybody is so fond of :)
Idgaf at this point. Everyone is trying to make a buck. Wholesale doesn’t care, retail doesn’t care, the scalper doesn’t care. It’s just part of the game at this point. It sucks but retail isn’t going to say no selling product and people keep over paying with scalpers, so be it, it is what it is.
Man I can’t imagine wanting people to be punished for spending their own money on pokemon cards. Specially for a product you can find pretty easily when it came out
Its the stores fault for allowing 1 guy to buy so many people always take advantage of these stores. Like imagine a pwrson coming in and buying whole pallets of these. Its absurd to even allow it
They have a lot of tins but they’re sleeping by themselves so take your pick.
He sleeps in a race car bed.
Maybe he’ll get a CB radio for his birthday so he can talk to other car beds!
Yeah but it’s a sweet car
WHATS UNDER THE SKIRT LAURA!!!??!
My mom said you could still stay the night
My sister thinks I should get an alarm. Maybe a gps so I can find the bathroom
What does high score mean? New high score, is that bad? What does that mean? Did I break it?
Lmao best scene. OK well would you give me a sec I've never played this before
Adios, turd nuggets
Best line in the movie
"YEAH BUT IT'S A FUCKING SWEET CAR!" Love that movie
"You're a hooker!"
I just saw this 18 year old movie for the first time tonight so the fact that I just found it referenced on a Pokémon card post is mind boggling
Synchronicity
I don't like the idea of him having 2 spaghetti dinners!
That'll be hot.
This reminded me of the movie grandmas boy 😂
I can’t believe you came on my mom… you couldn’t just wake me up to play video games or something? Sorry, you were balls deep in your bear with a thumb in your mouth
I sleep in a big bed with my wife
This guy gets it
Can I borrow a feeling?
Go ahead Homer, laugh at me
It's dignity! Gah! Don't you know dignity when you see it?!
You’d think it would be a Pokémon bed ~~which would be pretty awesome~~
I used to have the Pokemon center plush giant ditto and it was great to fall asleep on.
Man I read ditto as something else the first time , wich would not have been great for sleep
Or would it have.. 🤔
Wait......those aren't cool? I mean yeah what a loser 👀
I sleep in a big bed with my wife
Jerry was a race car driver
He drove sa gosh dern fast
I sleep in a bed with my wife
Dude has had enough pussy for one day
She hopes I'm cursed forever, to sleep on a twin sized mattress
In somebody's attic or basement my whole life.
Can’t… stop… cu What now?!?
The wallet has been senselessly punished already
The spirit is willing but the leather is spongy and bruised!
Probably the worst product to invest in😂
They were dirt cheap last year. Came out to like $2.33 a pack
Yea great to rip but not to stash away. The tins are huge for only 3 packs per tin.
I think if you sell the evolving skies packs you essentially get the other packs for free since each tin has a evolving/brilliant/fusion and costs $9
Now think about 2 years from now. Brilliant Stars and Fusion are both solid sets, wouldn't surprise me if they get up there in price not too long from now.
Agreed. The Steelers suck.
Who Dey baby
FTS
If Burrow stays healthy, this is our year
WHO DEY!!!
Most rings. Most tins lol
hey!
So do the Hawkeyes.
💯 Go Browns
Go Colts baby!!!
Go Sports Ball Team!
Go go go!
Those stacking tins only have 3 packs and are fairly bulky. Each set is substantially larger than a booster box and only yields 9 packs. Not a wise purchase. That being said, saying whoever did this deserves to be punished is quite a stretch.

They don’t even care enough to dust or remove that old radiator so I’m sure it doesn’t bother them too much lol. I mean I’m hoping that’s a non functioning radiator at least 🤔
ES, BS, and FS for less than $2.5 a pack is always a good deal.
dang that guy has a lot of money to spend on cards happy for him
Punished for buying things? If you want to punish someone, blame the retailer. They allowed this to happen. If you want to stop scalping, you limit purchases so people can’t just buy things in bulk. But they won’t do that because money.
I don't see anything wrong here. He/she had the money and purchased product. That means he has less money for something else...
Cry babies
But I bet OP sleeps in a big bed with his wife
punished?I hope you're an actual child
Of all the things to collect why tins lol
They pulled a fast and furious except instead of dvd players it was a truck full of tins
That’s the punishment 🤣
I got a couple of those at Costco not too long ago on clearance. I think they were around $20 for the 3 tin pack. Fun to rip with my son. But OP definitely went overboard! Costco doesn’t have a limit so no crime here. Good luck OP. Better start ripping or selling them. It took over your room!🤣
There are so many better ways to invest for returns.
I don’t see much wrong with this. Hopefully the buyer didn’t go into debt with buying all this.
Honestly I disagree. Unless these were hard to get and botted, I don’t see anything wrong. Is it foolish to me? Absolutely. But everybody has a hobby, a take, a trait, something thats severely over the top that people could judge or they’re lacking in. Let people be people. Funny how the sentiment in this thread is vastly different from the Rat store fiasco.
You should be laughing at them not mad lol
Imagine come winter that radiator will do all the punishing you believe they deserve for whatever reason
Ur just jealous you not able to do the same
What set(s) Are in those tins ?
Na y’all got it wrong let me tell you 100% This guy fucks ^ don’t be salty
It’s his investment to make. We all have to do business, make money, have a job, earn a living. one could argue theyre punishing themselves, or any chance of getting laid at least
Punished for what having money?
Real question. Why does every TCG community have such a disdain towards money
If it wasn't for people like this, there would be less value on cards.
Maybe he/she try to start a small online business of tins box?
It might be a small business owner tryna build inventory
I mean, it's their money, they can spend it however they want.
Punished by who? The company he just paid thousands and thousands of dollars to? Yeah. Sure.
You can hate but people like this keep the hobby alive and well js, he's trying to make a bit of money so what. The more they sell the better the tcg hobby does that's just facts
The guys hoarding ES until the 30th aren’t keeping the hobby “alive and well”.
Meh.... One of three things will happen. They'll either lose control and rip it all open, sell it all for a loss or break even short term, OR they somehow find the space and maintain self-control for several years before they make anything. My money is on selling it all at a loss when they realize they can't afford to fix their transmission, haha.
r/oddlyspecific, that felt a little personal, lol
Lol why? Because you didn’t do it? This isn’t 2021. Go buy from your LCS or online. Such a shitty and toxic take over being jealous.
Agreed 💯
Haha its like buying physical stocks. You wouldnt call someone an idiot for investing in a stock they think is undervalued. If i put 10k into a stock would you say i should be punished? You wouldnt.
Are these tins worth buying? I just bought my first packs in over 20 years today. I saw a bunch of these tins but I passed on them because I figured you were getting upcharged for all the extra nonsense
Pokemon mfs are so weird, so full of hate and jealousy 😂😂😂 get your money up and buy them all faster next time.
If they are ripping them for themselves I see no problem with it but if they are selling them for profit, that's the problem. Scalpers are the worst
Its heaven
Someone need to buy out the costco stock .
Why?
This is literally every business too though
Ooof that's alot of space taken up.
He'll get punished enough when he tries to sell them for profit
Because they’re smart business people who have discipline and capital? That’s disgusting and deserving of punishment to you? What a depressing world view.

Dude can’t even watch his tv anymore. I feel like that’s an adequate punishment for his poor purchase decision(s).
Every LGS does this, they buy all the stock especially ones that have evolving skies then turn around and sell the Evo for 15$ a pack.
Where do people get so many cards??
man’s stacking everything on and around the radiator. Bold.
I mean yeah that is a lot more than normal, and chill the heck out. But I mean, as long as it was overtime and not a mass buy for an area I’d say it is okay. (For like half this, that’s too much lol) I wish I had enough income to just stack up some stuff, I’d like to have a big variety boxes and stuff :D
If not obtained through a proper channel then… Insert flood.
It’s their money, why’re you troubled how they spend it?
Bruh you don’t wanna even hear about the things I’ve seen at TCGplayer if this stuff makes u angry this ain’t shit lol
Better sell those before winter or that radiator will take them
They spent thousands on cardboard slices with zero guarantee of sale for profit. They're punishing themselves...
So punish them big boy….
Lmfaooo I know exactly who this is and that makes it 100x funnier 🤣🤣🤣
It won't matter for long. Looks like his radiator going lighter them up.
I’m gonna be real I don’t know where I sit with this shit. It pisses me off but I get it, so it’s hard to hate, it’s more of a jealousy thing for me
Jokes on y'all he stole all those tins from Walmart and got away in his racecar bed.
The tins pull hard or something?
Honestly small potatoes compared to some collections I see nothing wrong here. Plus it’s tins probably the least effective use of space possible lol
These tins suck asss lol so he honestly did us all a favor by getting rid of them all Also that radiator is touching the product….huge fire hazard right there..karma will engulf all in flames of hell
I want those evolving sky ETBs
What do you think the punishment should be?
This is no wonder stores have buy limits
Very simp my fix. Don’t buy from these POS 😊 Let them not even make what they spent and call it a day
I wonder what the numbers look like: cost, sales, misc fees and time, net loss 🤣
Let's rob the motherfucker
Why? They are the ones left holding the bag when the market falls out. I don’t get investing with modern sealed Pokémon cards. lol
Better open or move them. That radiator isn’t going to be nice to your metal tins.
People like you should mind your own business. People can buy what they want.
Do people still take micro scales into stores and weigh packs to they find one that's heavier or lighter than the average and buy only that one? I remember a friend doing that years ago and getting great cards and selling on ebay lol
This is an old picture
This is an old picture
They are punished with a massive credit card bill at 20%-30% interest.
Sad life.
House fire seems ripe
Need larger home
Oh naahhh...this diabolical
All this to just still be slightly richer alone in 10 years. WOW so cool. So jealous.
Could’ve bought bitcoin
Who?
Can I have some tins
The family earned the money. Even if homie didn't buy them, congrats to his family for being able to afford w.e. they want to invest in.
Bro his punishment is he has to live like that
Bitchless activity
How much you all think that haul is worth?
Stop buying and then make them eat the losses. As long as there is demand there will be people doing this, stop being dramatic.
Wow I'd be extremely grateful to have a single tin or even half of one and there's people like this Unreal
What a dick
I could care less about stacking tins with no promos.
This was a rookie spending his yearly allowance on by far the WORST product to invest/ flip 🤣🤣 good luck trying to sell those for any profit lmao
Idk it isn’t wise to be a gatekeeper. Different than Rats because they run a business and are bragging about ripping people off indirectly. People wanna buy stuff and hold that’s on them. These specifically a bit of a bummer because they would do well with kids…those tins and the cost wise aspect
I mean those stacking tins weren’t even shifting at retail price
Just shouldve bought booster boxes. Wasted all that money and space lmfao.
Bro gonna be sitting on these for a century before he gets his money back 😂
He has the money, he has the space, he was at Costco before you, so I don’t know what you are moaning about. This is called CAPITALISM that everybody is so fond of :)
I will never understand people who buy products and don’t rip. The whole point of collecting is ripping packs. I don’t let myself save anything.
JUST OPEN THEM ALREADY
It's not even that many packs, just looks that way because of the tins.
Just wait until he discovers pussy
Why? It's their money.
Yes terrible tv placement
Oh no! Someone spent their own money on what they wanted!!! Let's bitch about it like pathetic losers 😂😂
This is pokemon collecting now. You don't actually collect pokemon cards, you collect colorful boxes.
For real
Don’t hate the playa lol
Those tins are shit to invest in so jokes on him really
Looks like they are punished having to deal with all of that shit taking up their entire room
They should be punished for their ratty behavior
Idgaf at this point. Everyone is trying to make a buck. Wholesale doesn’t care, retail doesn’t care, the scalper doesn’t care. It’s just part of the game at this point. It sucks but retail isn’t going to say no selling product and people keep over paying with scalpers, so be it, it is what it is.
haha i remember this photo. everyone was like “you’re gonna burn your moms house down” 😆
What’s in those tins ?
https://www.costco.com/pok%C3%A9mon-3-pack-stacking-tins-with-booster-packs.product.4000114207.html Here they are.
YouTubers be like
That product will be hard to liquidate so that’s an L for whoever purchased that much, stick to booster boxes
I remember when scalping was illegal and people got arrested for the shit
It’s the same shit we do but with the wrong product
I think they already punished themselves for buying tins instead of booster boxes or other bulk boosters they can get more packs for less money lol.
Man I can’t imagine wanting people to be punished for spending their own money on pokemon cards. Specially for a product you can find pretty easily when it came out
Punished? lol. It’s kinda lame but that’s their initiative
Its the stores fault for allowing 1 guy to buy so many people always take advantage of these stores. Like imagine a pwrson coming in and buying whole pallets of these. Its absurd to even allow it
People will do anything but work hard
What punishment? A light spanking with some ear lobe play?
Typical Steelers fan.
to be honest they can’t even access their radiator or screen freely in this room so…
Agreed, All this money and the psa card you choose to display is a pokemon breeder 🤔
At this point why even have a tv in the room lol
ok?
Repost from https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemoncards/s/uTLpY0oeA6
He can't even watch his TV that's punishment enough I guess
Jokes on them. 95% of the cards from Costco are garbage.
