If it wasn't you both relobbying it's probably a sync bug. Your phone did something glitchy and showed you damage. It finally syncs properly and adjusts the health. I've seen it at ridiculous levels (green to yellow, back to green to yellow ....)
It's a similar glitch that sometimes shows your Pokemon fainting but then shows you still alive with a little health and invisible pokemon
If you both revive pokemon at the same time the raid boss regains health.
It is better to stagger the reviving when in 2 man parties. Have a plan for when the first of you gets to your last pokemon that person goes back and revives at that time. This way there is always someone fighting the boss.
Oh wow ok I had no idea about this! The thing is we weren’t reviving. We were both actively attacking and would see it happen from what I remember. Thanks for the info!
