nah star dust ain’t really problem since next week at comm day imma be out from the beginning till the end with star prices popped throughout just grinding non stop on those cyndequils
If stardust really isn’t a problem for you then I’d say go for it!
Alternative: You could also potentially find a friend who can give you a bunch of gastly/haunter trades for a good lucky. You’d save on stardust and evolving haunter->gengar is free for traded pokemon! So you’d only spend 25 candy to evolve a good lucky gastly into a gengar and save stardust in the long run. And it’d be free if you got a good lucky haunter!
I save up certain pokemon and mass trade them for XL candy and my friend always gets a few luckies.

Not with your stardust. You are better off catching a higher level one so that you can save stardust to power up a more commonly used raid attacker.
