Yep! Let's say we're talking about DPS in a vacuum for PVE, PS/AV is 14.25, MS/BD is 12.47. PS/R is 12.25 and MS/R is 13.94. As you can see, in a vacuum PS/AV is the best moveset DPS wise. Since Return is a normal move, it doesn't get STAB and is never super effective. So there will never be a situation where in a raid Return outperforms the other options (the high DPS of MS/R is because MS is a high hitting fast move).
if we're talking PVP, PS/AV/BD sims at the best win rate vs the ML meta (16/15/1). Granted thats just sims. If you swap BD for Return, you'll actually get the same win rate. The sims show in the mirror match the R Mamoswine winning for some odd reason, likely a bug with energy calculation.
In both cases, Shadow outperforms non-Shadow.
You bet! Shadow Mamoswine is one of the best Ground and Ice type raid attackers. Best moveset for it is powder snow for fast move and avalanche for charge. And it you want to add a second charge move Bulldoze is the best second charge move.
I have a 15/15/10 that I took to level 40. He’s a fine PVE specimen. No regrets. But I am still waiting for perhaps one a little better IVs though to use my XL candy. Haha!!

Yes! I use a 15/15/5 shadow mamo and it wrecks dragons!
Shadow Gardevoir is the best Dragon crusher overall. Mamoswine when it’s a dragon/flying.

I powered up a 15/15/11. It’s definitely worthwhile to power up your best one. Shadow Charm is devastating.

Mamoswine's CD move is ancient power. It is absolutely useless on it. Evolve now and get powder snow/avalanche

Is Ice better than Fairy on Dragons? Cuz i use a 2* Sylveon or 3* Granbull on all dragons and slay
It's better for some bosses that take double super effective damage from ice - like Dragonite or Rayquaza or Garchomp
Yea Dragonite wont last vs a Fairy but ive lost to a few Rayquazas and its 50/50 on Garchomp if i got the right help
