Literally this, the coverage is insane with Gallade. Heck, I was tempted to even put Gardevoir on there. Psychic, Thunderbolt, Shadow Ball, & Calm Mind is too good as well
I actually had x scissor before fire punch. I thought hard about all of the elemental punches and settled on fire. This was mostly bc I was in the postgame and beating my head against the battle tower. X scissor wasn’t giving me any utility, and eq didn’t even occur to me as an option ngl
Do you have anything specific you want us to keep in mind when deciding? Any Pokémon you don’t want to use because you don’t like them or don’t want your team to be too generic or anything?
Honestly just can't trade so no trade Pokemon. Also prefer not to use doof as I ran a simple curse doof in XY. Beyond that just not using more then say 2 Pokemon of the exact same type. Like only 2 mono grass but a grass poison, grass psychic, and grass ground would work. Also need to be before E4.

Burmy trash coat seems like they come fairly early and good typing so it seems decent.
Tangrowth solid but seems late game
Munchlax great but annoying to get due to honey requirements.
Kricketune at least it comes early just finished getting it to 10 so I could evolve it and get it actual moves. Thank God for return.
Frosslass late game but seems solid.
Miltoc great but it's going to be such a pain to evolve.
Honorable mention gallade he came in 7th but appeared higher on the responses the Miltoc.
4 of my 6 hate fire so that will be fun. At least there are like literally 2 fire type Pokemon in the game.

Gallade with leaf blade, psycho cut, fire punch, and close combat/brick break is nigh unstoppable! Loved him on my most recent plat run

Curious why you choose fire punch over earthquake for coverage? Where did it benefit you the most?

I’ll go with Gliscor. It’s a little difficult to evolve, but it’s fun to use
