I don't think I can ever forgive the Republican Party for empowering anti-vax/anti-mask/COVID denier conspiracy theories. I was an English teacher in China in 2020 and got stuck there for 3 years, largely because these assholes botched the response to COVID so badly. My mom was diagnosed with leukemia in 2021 and passed away in November of 2022, I was unable to make it home until January of 2023. I don't think I can ever forgive the Republican Party for empowering anti-vax/anti-mask/COVID denier conspiracy theories. I was an English teacher in China in 2020 and got stuck there for 3 years, largely because these assholes botched the response to COVID so badly. My mom was diagnosed with leukemia in 2021 and passed away in November of 2022, I was unable to make it home until January of 2023. I'm fortunate that I didn't lose any family members directly to COVID-19 but I will always hold a grudge against these people for the fact that I was never able to say goodbye to my mom before she passed.
