"We are in the process of the second American Revolution, which will remain bloodless, if the left allows it to be." Already prepared to blame the victims when they start murdering people.

usernamerevoked

How ironic that the red hats are coming to enforce the rule of their king. Vote for sure but as someone raised alt right, now educated and left leaning... the left needs to be arming ourselves. The right is radicalized to consider all other groups as sub human and dangerous, they can't wait to get violent and no one talks about that enough.

TheSherbs

We are armed and ready, we just don't make "gun culture" our entire lives or personality.

birthdayanon08

Exactly. They tend to forget that the Second Amendment applies to both sides. The left just doesn't feel the need to advertise it.

Alternative_Push_422

I agree with you 100%. Not only do we need to be arming ourselves, we need to be organizing ourselves in the same way the right-wing militias are doing. You may take out a few of them when the red hats bust down your door for having a biden bumper sticker, but if we want to win we need to organize while we still safely can.

jackhole2

alot of us are

PMYourTinyTitties

This should have been in the fucking title since clearly barely anyone in this thread has read it

MontusBatwing

I'm not prepared to allow it to be bloodless. Liberty or death, Patrick Henry style.

glacialanon

Nazis taking over the world would've been "bloodless" if nobody opposed it and everyone just let it happen

elsewhere1

You're kidding yourself if you think this is hyperbole. _They're the minority at present and have already accomplished major policy goals_ Roe v Wade Chevron Trump Immunity It'll be nice to win in November, but they've mostly already gotten away with the heist. Unless we win in Nov and reform the supreme court who gives af

[deleted]

They're promising to "repeal the 20th Century". You've no idea how much further they plan on going.

chmod777

back to the 50s. the 1850s, if not the 1650s.

SodaCanBob

The Magna Carta said the king wasn't above the law, so the Supreme Court just pulled us further back then 1215.

sarbanharble

The Dark Ages were only dark for everyone below the upper class.

meatspace

Everyone was rotting in the dark ages. Covered in piss and disease.

Electrical-Chipmunk3

That’s why we’re doing Neo-feudalism. It’s new jobs we’re talking about with a NEW standard of living. We have the money and power and you have the man power to work 120 hours a week. -The Heritage Foundation in 4 months probably.

Niznack

They're going to be doing a surprised Pikachu face when no one can afford their shit and everyone is too sick to work

Far-Hat-2640

That's what the new law on illegal homelessness will do. If you are too sick, you will be held in prison until your labour value is expended to your last gasp.

SasparillaTango

Gotta love that slave labor in prisons

ZardozZod

Oh you think that’ll get you out of working?

Niznack

I give it two years before they learn to wire up corpses to work.

Isnotanumber

I always joked these nut jobs wanted to rewind things to the Gilded Age. Then I read a part of the Trump admins’s 1776 project and it basically traced everything going wrong with American education (in their opinion) to the early part of the Progressive Era.

Hootbag

They want an era where slavery and indoor plumbing existed at the same time.

chmod777

and the indoor plumbing is a nice to have.

Ridry

A lot of huge blue states just won't stand for this. I'm becoming increasingly convinced that this is our USSR breaks apart moment. They will get back to the 1650s, they just won't take all 50 states with them.

chmod777

yes, the end goal of our enemies is the balkanisation of the US. we will have to deal with the new england metro and west coast replublics, with a ton of ameristan micro nations in between.

dmintz

Now, don't get me wrong, I think that would be terrible for the world. But If the northeast (starting in DC or Virginia), was its own country then it would absolutely be a more modern and well run country then the US currently is as a whole.

FistnlikaPistn

How long before the red states become imperialistic?? People seem to think fascist and dictators will stop at some point if they’re appeased enough. History has said otherwise.

vwmac

Unless the military seizes control of blue states in this scenario (which I think is highly unlikely, as the military exists to protect the Constitution not government), most red states will fall apart quickly. Most red states lost any valuable infrastructure and economy once outsourcing manufacturing became popular (which Republican policy is responsible for, ironically enough). They are 100% propped up by blue states, who are responsible for most of the country's tech, agriculture and tax money. Even some of the potentially stronger contenders like Texas or Florida would be fucked the minute they get hit by a hurricane or natural disaster. The federal government always intervenes and provides support when these things happen on a yearly basis (probably more frequently once climate change ramps up). People also live in these places because its cheap, but only really visit for family / tourism. If you make tourism travel difficult, say goodbye to some of your bigger sources of revenue. Some big corporations would probably immediately pull out of some of these states. There's no way in hell Disney keeps their Orlando parks open if the New Republic of Florida becomes a reality. Corps will always follow money at the end of the day. I'm not saying a second civil war is impossible, but there's 0 ways to predict what that would even look like. Part of being the "American Experiment" is being an experiment lol. Aside from the original Civil War we don't really know what would happen. It would be long, messy, and lots of people would die (not from the war part, but from their impoverished states completely falling apart). Let's hope we never get to that point again.

pjtheman

The two largest state economies are California and New York. Red states get billions of dollars in welfare and subsidies from then. The red states would be starving in a month.

dmintz

They would fall apart pretty quickly.

FistnlikaPistn

The problem with that is how much damage can they cause in that “pretty quickly” time span.

JMnnnn

Hope y’all are taking red state asylum seekers.

jmcgit

I think the US is "too big to fail", between financially and militarily, for that to happen anywhere near as quickly as some might think. It won't be a sudden collapse, it'd be a long and slow decline while our resources and influence deteriorate. By the time states start splitting off, it'll be because the central government can't afford to keep them in line and can't be bothered to supply them with food and resources. Make no mistake, there are some dark times ahead. It's not even a matter of "if" anymore. We might be able to delay this plan, but the only way to end it involves tactics too close for comfort to their own.

Tossawaysfbay

It would truly be terrible if that happened. The end of our current era and the rise of China overtaking the world economy (and the end of Ukraine, Taiwan, and maybe even South Korea). I mean, hopefully I’d be safe over here in the New California Republic but still.

Ridry

> New California Republic Bear Flag FTW! I agree it'd be terrible, but I'd rather have the NCR and New England not go backwards into the 1650s.

DoonFoosher

New New England

RlySkiz

They want slaves back

lifeofrevelations

Fuck what they want. I will die fighting.

Maximum_Vermicelli12

They already have wage slave labor (it’s either work or be homeless basically, if you’re not one of the unfortunate working homeless). They already have incarcerated slave labor (made in America often means made in prisons). They want to increase retirement age and roll back child labor protections. And, they want to do away with birth control so *ever more workers will be born.* I guarantee that if we had a universal basic income in this country, they would not be pushing for increased population so rabidly.

OneAct8

They already have slavey, private prisons + now illegal to be homeless lmao

Orphasmia

The republican president after Trump will run on “Make Labor Free Again.”

aculady

"Free", as in "unpaid".

4llY0urB4534r3Blng

2025 for them, 1525 for the rest of us.

Toss_Away7952

Given their plan for laws on the age of consent, it's looking like the 1650s. Not that the 1850s are anything less than horrific for most people.

yellow_trash

That's similar to Pol Pot's plan. Empty out the cities. Put everyone in rural farms and plantations, persecute "intellects" Including people who wear glasses The result is 25% of Cambodia's population killed off.

Plaguedoctorsrevenge

Republicans would like to kill off double that number of Americans. At least the ones they can't enslave

te_anau

I anticipate the supreme court ruling that public water utilities are communism any day now, puting us back to pre roman empire times.

LargeWu

They're the minority in Congress, but a supermajority in the Supreme Court.

pianoblook

This also isn't just some random skinhead on Twitter. This is the skinhead who runs the [Heritage Foundation](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Heritage_Foundation), which has been one of the biggest shadowy, cartoonishly evil policy think tanks for conservatives since the Reagan era.

deadsoulinside

He was the guy pulling the strings for Trump from 2016-2020. He is trying to finish the job they started.

Gary_Burke

Not to mention Project 2025, their main policy manifesto, is backed by over 100 other conservative groups. This is the plan, they are not quiet about it. Literally, “Next up is the civil rights act and gay marriage.” Modern Americans aren’t ready for a return to the 1890s.

cytherian

What's that quote about good people doing nothing as bad actors take advantage? We've been living in a bit of an illusion in America. Modern technology has created creature comforts and intellect engaging entertainment unlike any other time before. So many people had tuned out of politics and focused on entertainment and money making. Meanwhile, with such distractions going on, the devious have been making progress. All it took was someone to come along and become the standard bearer: Donald J. Trump. What better man than the bombastic, intimidating, spectacle laden billionaire who had a hit TV show? I used to think to myself "We're in the 21st century now. We elected a black US president. We're making progress towards a better world for everyone." Meh. ***WRONG***. The mindset of people in the far-right Republican Party is no different than the *Confederates of the 19th century*. They're just clad in modern clothes and use present day technology. These people want to return to a time of white supremacy. Clear, wide, stark divisions of economic classes. A majority of people living as indentured servants, while the wealthy class lives it up. We have domestic stochastic terrorism flourishing before our eyes. Challengers to the pushers of fascism are met with an avalanche of death threats and perpetual harassment. Even witnesses are doomed. Do you know that the far-right has been tenaciously doxing anyone who Trump hates? And once that happens, the threats come. So many of them have to sell their homes and leave to live somewhere else. That's the kind of dynamic the far-right has created. The SCOTUS must be reformed. Term limits. Age limits with exceptions that require tests and evaluations. And any justice who has been appointed that has shown to be incompetent or corrupt? FIRED. Bribery? FINED and FIRED. The Republican Party is not for America. It's for the 1%. They are a clear and present danger. #VoteBlueToSaveDemocracy #VoteBlueIn2024

forthewatch39

They’re for the .1 percent. The one percent include people like doctors and small, local business owners. They’re for the ultra wealthy.

Flipnotics_

Putin is doing the Charlie Brown dance right now. I think... his plan of destabilization has worked.

spaceman757

He's just a beneficiary. They've been at it way longer than Putin has been in power. This shit started in the 70's and 80's and has only gained momentum since.

ClvrNickname

Have the Democrats presented a plan for *how* they'll reform the Supreme Court? Because "we just need to win every election for the next several decades so we can replace conservative justices when they eventually die" is not a viable plan.

FlurkinMewnir

AOC proposed making supremes impeachable for breaking their oaths of office and I m here for it.

deadsoulinside

But how does she actually plan on getting these passed? The problem is is hoping that it does not get tanked on it's way up. We need rules coming from the top down, versus trying to play by the rules that clearly are not going to work when conservatives have fixed the game.

pantstoaknifefight2

"Win" doesn't just mean eke out a narrow victory. Anything less than a landslide victory will be fucked over by the corrupt SCRotUS 6.

OnlyMamaKnows

Setting aside how terrifying all of this is, imagine how dumb and brainwormed you have to be to think you're battling tyranny bc some people like electric cars, Star Wars has a diverse cast and your hero Donald Trump, a lifetime criminal, was investigated a couple times with no real repercussions. Real George Washingtons we have here.

SuperGenius9800

They want a race war.

SodaCanBob

That, and they want to own women.

Alerith

I hope they get the shock of their life when they see how many straight, white men are not on their side.

Possible_Proposal447

They grossly underestimate how many straight white men are progressive and supportive. We grew up in a world teaching us to be better.

Brodellsky

We also tend to be passive-aggressive as fuck, which eventually builds up over time until we explode. At least that's life here in the midwest, anyways lol.

[deleted]

You just described me to a t lol from Ohio, former Marine, very liberal. I generally ignore these idiots if possible because of my upbringing and military discipline, but they have it coming. No way I'll let them trash my family for this bs if they do win in November. They'd look at me - a young, white, tattooed gun owner and think they have me in their pocket but that's an absolute no. I just hope there are more people like me than they think there are.

No_Hamster_605

Wrong state, but you described me as well

thejesterofdarkness

Neighbor Hoosier checking in, you've got my guns at your side if/when the time comes.

_CogitoSum_

Fellow Hoosier. I’m with you.

Vel0clty

Checking in from Maine, last 4 comments resonated with me. You’re not alone, we’re fuckin everywhere out here ✌🏻

thejimbo56

It’s the longest fuse you’ve ever seen but it leads to a nuke.

MyNameCannotBeSpoken

Hidden Allies

Additional_Sun_5217

Now is very much the time to come out of hiding.

apitchf1

I think of this a lot. Look at values we teach literal children. Be kind. Think of others. Be polite. Then look at republicans. Literally hate people based on what they look like. Who they love. Where they’re from. Be selfish and make a mess everywhere you go.

jackospades88

>straight, white men Honestly, what can I be doing as one to help things? There have been times where I'm talking to someone, they get into politics and start freely spewing Pro-Trump shit because they think I'm like them, and I struggle to want to fight back because idk how deranged they are. But yeah, a common thing for me is other white dudes assume I'm a Trumper and feel safe slinging that shit at me. Genuinely asking too (I didn't want my tone to come across as being anything other than that)

Alerith

Call them out. Openly tell them that you support immigrants, LGBT+, trans healthcare, abortion, women's rights, etc. They'll probably get angry. Call you a Democrat because they think it's a slur you'll be offended by. But own your beliefs, and remain calm. Let them throw a tantrum, but deny their beliefs to their face. Outside of that, support those things they hate. Trans healthcare and abortions can be supported by donating to Planned Parenthood or another entity that supports those things like the Satanic Temple. Bonus rage if you tell the MAGA fools that you'll donate in their name. Tldr: Be an ally, and don't be afraid to proudly voice it.

jackospades88

>They'll probably get angry. This is what I need to avoid though. I've had repair guys in my home, who spew 100% non-sense ("Trump is in such good shape and treats his body like a temple!") while fixing my furnace or something. I have a family and kids that depend on me. I am afraid of risking their lives because some guy I hired decided to mess with my equipment and damage it/cause an "accident" with people in my home. It's one thing if I was a bachelor, but I do not want my family to be in harms way.

Alerith

Time and place, mate. It's one thing to piss off MAGA boomer in the wild. It's another to pick fights with workers taking care of services in your home. Even if they're disgustingly wrong, you still have to pick and choose your battles.

TerrorsOfTheDark

Ask questions, questions that slowly dig deeper into what they are talking about and then compare their answers to the ideals of freedom and patriotism. Then ask more questions all about trying to be a better patriotic freedom loving american. For instance: Oh you don't think people should be able to transition? Why don't you think an american can do what they want with their body? Should your tattoos be outlawed as well? I'm confused do you think we should mandate what people can do or not? Oh you think the unborn child has a right to the moms body, interesting, so if someone needs a part of you to survive then you should be forced to provide it? That sounds like communism to me, are you sure about that?

jackospades88

Thanks, I think this is the best advice. Don't play my cards directly and try to put the answers on them.

TerrorsOfTheDark

Socratic questioning is a powerful tool

454C495445

You cannot change their mind. Only they can. That is why this approach is good. Do not expect immediate results, however. It can take people a long time to change their mind.

niveknhoj

Early on, before they fully go into the vile stuff but are clearly bringing it up, I just smile and cheerfully say “Like, can you believe those guys? I mean, treat my wife, who is freaking awesome, like property? Those turds can get the hell outta here, ya know, friend?”  Obviously made-up dialogue but you might get the idea. Thing is, sometimes they want to share their opinions because they want a friend. Sometimes they want the friend more than they want the opinions. I offer them an alternative way to feel that - get on board the ‘don’t-be-shitty train’ and I’m your guy!  It usually just leads to confusion and a walk-away, but occasionally they start to seemingly adjust their positions a bit since they aren’t made defensive.  Plus I can stay true to my beliefs without ruining my day with an argument.  It’s not perfect, but yields better vibes than an argument that never goes anywhere good.

hydrohomey

Isn’t it funny how the only people who ever talk about race wars are white supremacists? It’s not a race war, it’s code for “we want to commit genocide” It’s not a “war” when one side outnumbers the other 6:1 and the lesser side doesn’t want to have a “war” at all and is totally okay with co habitating. Edit: I know most white people don’t want one either. I’m just speaking from the POV of the losers who do.

West-One5944

Similar to how most victims of hate crimes are those who are far less likely to be able to defend themselves against their attacker (e.g., elderly folks, etc.). Real brave sorts. 🙄

Mr_Mimiseku

A race war, a gender war, and a sexuality war. They fundamentally disagree with everything modern society represents. This shit resembles the Taliban, which I thought we all equally agreed was bad? Although, to the right, the only thing they hate is that they're Muslim. Y'allqueda went from being a joke to terrifyingly real. We need to collectively vote for Biden this November. I understand he's not the best we can put forward, and certainly wouldn't be my pick, but we don't have any other alternative that would stand a chance. I believe this country will legitimately not survive another Trump term, and Trump would just be the fucking beginning.

ScholarZero

They want a race war, or a revolutionary war. I mean they want a war against Americans. It doesn't seem like they care what kind.

Zelcron

Fucking let those gravy seals come for me, then. I'm sick of dealing with their shit and have no moral compunctions about converting my home into a lethal fun house that would put Home Alone to shame. I'd much prefer it not come to that, but bet I take a few of them with me. His words are, this will remain peaceful "if the left allows it to be." Horse. Shit. We all know who the aggressors are. They are *already* planning on commiting violence. They already *have* FFS.

johnaimarre

This is, unfortunately, the same big raging ball of cultural anger that has been handed down since the Civil Rights Act, paired nicely with their adjacent hate of the women’s liberation movement. It’s just traveled so far and so long that it’s been abstracted into this vague sociological cancer that *mysteriously* got way more aggressive after the Obama administration.

Kcb1986

There are two conservatives. You have Heritage Foundation Conservatives who are college educated, monied, and connected that are burning the midnight oil to ensure a deregulated America because that pads the bottom line and they will happily join forces with the Christian right which leads to the second group. Then you have the commoner conservative, these people are high school educated, low informed, and been fed bullshit from the first group to vote for the first group’s benefactors. The first group wants to make money and take everyone else’s money. The second group doesn’t want to pay taxes and be able to say sexually explicit jokes in the office again and not get an email from HR. It’s that fucking simple.

TheStabbingHobo

> your hero Donald Trump, a lifetime criminal It just continues to boggle my fucking mind how they looked at this fat orange pants shitting felon and rapist and thought "yeah this is our guy, let's form a cult around him".  I just do not get it.

FivePoopMacaroni

I can explain it. Our exasperation is catnip to them. They hate their imaginary enemies so much and love that Trump does whatever he wants with seemingly no accountability because of who it hurts or angers. They've been brainwashed against an ambiguous enemy and told it's an existential fight and they are patriots.

plaidkingaerys

Yeah, I think this is it. They just love that he “triggers the libs.” If something makes Democrats angry, it’s automatically a good thing to them, even if that anger is absolutely justified. They don’t care about looking like idiots to us. For many people, quite literally the *only* thing that matters is that Democrats get pissed off. It’s toddler mentality.

Nihilator68

I do not follow “professional wrestling”, but I feel like there are a lot of parallels.

frenchfreer

Conservatives really are the biggest cry babies. I have so many friends from the military that lean that way and constantly complain about how America is a 3rd world country. Like, you dense mother fucker we literally fought in Iraq and Afghanistan over multiple deployments and you think you have it worse because gay people can exist near you. It’s so delusional and it makes me furious.

pistolpeter33

This is the dumbest vision of a “revolution” I can possibly imagine. At least the American, French, Russian, etc.. revolutions had some kind of lofty goals of a better society. The only outcome I see from this “revolution” is regressing the US into an undemocratic idiocracy on par with present day Russia.

Waffle_Muffins

I think they want more like Iran than Russia tbh

pistolpeter33

I think Russia is a better comparison still. The elites will all claim to be religious without wanting to give away any power to the church(es)

Chrome-Head

This is the feeble “revolution” of the Gerontocracy that we’ve allowed to remain in power for far too long. It’s unfortunately said every election, but this is really the election where the younger generations need to step and make sure Don Shitpants doesn’t return to the White House. Also dumbass weak boomer rule needs to end in this country.

Platinumdogshit

Technically the original one was just a bunch of rich dudes not wanting to pay the taxes they should have been paying

Solomon_Grungy

I dont have to imagine. These people are my parents. I tried sending them the excerpt from this article highlighting their intent to attack medicaid, medicare and social security. I suppose they’ll wave away their concerns even though those services literally keep them alive.

WISCOrear

Can't believe they are tearing it all down for the most undeserving person of all time. This shit sucks ass.

boredonymous

It's because their base ideas aren't popular. And now they're staring down the barrel at obscurity, and they really don't like it. So they're throwing this predicted temper tantrum against the laws and rules we all agreed to and not tamper with. These Project 2025 ideals aren't popular at all, they probably won't even last more than 2 years once implemented simply due to difficulty to hold them up. I'm not saying that we shouldn't worry, but for sure these actions are not going to hold, especially once met with resistance by reasonable, caring citizens.

Simmery

> "Put politics off to the side, any president having to second guess, triple guess, every decision they're making in their official capacity—you couldn't have the republic that you just described," he said. President to White House lawyer: "Can we do this?" Lawyer: "Let me check on that... looks like a no." President: "Alright, then we'll do something else." Wow, the way this has historically worked through our entire country's history has somehow hobbled presidents so badly that we now need a king.

redblade13

Their argument is nuts. They're arguing for a return to a monarchal system that we SHED BLOOD TO STOP. We broke that system and many other countries followed after us tired of seeing a King not being punished from committing atrocities to their own people under the guise of *"It's the Crowns mandate"*. The whole damn point of our system is TO MAKE THEM SECOND GUESS EVERY MOVE. We want our leaders to not just make blanket laws and expect no pushback or consequences regardless of left or right BS. It's basic shit we fought for and bled for. You better second guess your decisions immunity for official acts is a sorry excuse for giving us a dictatorship with extra steps. We'll be the next Cuba and Venezuela with this BS. We'll have death squads like in Guatemala after the overthrow of a progressive president and installation of a facist right winger who ordered to hunt and kill left leaning groups. We need some French citizens to teach us to how to fight back because France would have half the nation rioting over extreme decisions like this. They don't play around with any rulings or moves that threaten their liberty.

frenchfreer

They keep saying this but provide zero examples of when a president would be hampered by the law. I know it’s because a scenario like that doesn’t exist but still I hate how they just get away with making shit up.

[deleted]

Miami_Vice-Grip

I checked the conservatice sub to see what they were saying about this whole immunity thing, and it's very interesting. It's primarily just two things, often both: 1. Libs are getting into hysterics about crazy hypotheticals, of course the president would never use this immunity to do crazy evil things 2. Look at how immediately the libs are talking about the president having his political enemies imprisoned or killed, the fact that they are thinking about this means that is what *they* would/will do with this power, how awful of the libs to think this way --- The main thing that is missing in all of this is *any reasonable justification for why this ruling is GOOD, for anyone, at all.* Like sure, maybe the SEAL team six will never happen, great! But what is the benefit aside from legally protecting Trump, personally? I guess the only benefit they can grasp is "this ruling makes Trump more likely to be President again, therefor it is good for me". I think they fail to see that the examples of assassinations and such are supposed to highlight why libs DON'T want it, not what they can't wait to start doing with it! Anyone who is somehow undecided about this whole thing, think of everything in your life where you were told, "It will never get this bad" or "You will always have access to this" etc. How many times has that *actually* held true for a long time? God damn it, sometimes I hate having been born in the early 1990s The perfect spot to be born into a (mostly) peaceful prosperous country, with nothing but hope for the future. Only a couple years after Regan, the impact of his choices yet to be truly felt. The curse of a gentle childhood is that it cultivated an expectation for the future that hurts as those hopes get shredded. The genZ/A folks are also drowning in the same ocean, but at least they never saw land and thought there was a chance of getting there. Like god damn it people, Bill Clinton had a budget SURPLUS for goodness sake. We've been billions or trillions in dept for decades now thanks to (R) policies and warmongering.

adams_unique_name

They're also the same people who like to mockingly say things like "Oh, the government would never do that!" when you point out the absurdities of their conspiracy theories about 15 minutes cities or the COVID pandemic.

Simmery

Could ask the conservative Supreme Court justices the same thing.

Message_10

Yeah, exactly--gosh, somehow we made it almost 250 years without having to worry about this! And we had to clarify presidential immunity after Trump... but it's not Trump's fault. Jesus Christ.

erasmause

God forbid the most powerful person on the planet take two seconds to weigh the ramifications of their actions. Can you imagine doing a job under such unreasonable constraints as accountability?

ki3fdab33f

Imma grab my Kentucky rifle and powdered wig and fight me some redcoats. Fuck your King.

AlgorithmOmega

*redhats

Alediran

The most ironic thing is that they are now the redhats.

deadsoulinside

My 5x grandfather served under Washington battling redcoats I did not think I would be seeing Revolution Pt 2 happening ever.

[deleted]

The christian-nationalist, privatize-everything, dismantle-the-state revolution is not really a revolution. It's a counter enlightenment reaction. Everyone who has read Jefferson, Madison, Franklin knows that English common law is in no way derived from christian religious law, that money is a public utility placed into circulation for the people's benefit, that distributive property taxes on land owners are fine, and that the state is a simply a set of citizens with individual rights & civic duties. Let's keep working on living up to the ideals of the first American Revolution instead.

bosslickspittle

Can someone explain the end goal to me? I get it that they're true believers, but what about the people who hold the money? If the GOP truly succeeds and tears everything down, then millions of people will be out of jobs. That means they won't have money to spend on stuff. The business owners and billionaires will be very upset if all of a sudden they don't have any customers because nobody can afford anything. Am I missing something obvious here?

sajuuksw

The end game is modern Hungary, or modern Russia. A unitary and kleptocratic state with capitalist markets and the veneer of democracy. There are still plenty of riches to go around, the pie just shrinks.

JoeChristma

Iran. They want us to be Iran

Mr-and-Mrs

Except Christian.

West-One5944

Sure: White-supremacist Capitalist Imperialist Cisgenderheteropatriacy Christocentrism. That’s literally the goal.

Rumicon

The state will be the customer. They'll launch a massive war, and the war will drive the economy and conveniently get rid of all these surplus jobless people. Why do you think they just rammed through automatic selective service registration?

BeeLuv

…and still fight automatic voter registration

The Handmaids Tale was supposed to be a cautionary tale , not a fucking instruction manual

legalstep

Fascism isn’t revolutionary

Wizard_Writa_Obscura

An American French Revolution where we burn down the mansions of billionaire kings.

420PokerFace

Yeah! If Project 2025 is as big as they say, they should do a left wing sequel

Waffle_Muffins

Don't we need an actual left wing first?

Blablablaballs

An American Revolution where billionaires burn down our houses and we thank them for being so awesome.

Spaceman-Spiff

No. Brainwashed imbeciles will burn down their neighbors houses for the billionaires. And in this instance the neighbors are the rest of the world. We are truly fucked if this transpires.

lawofthewilde

I’m a registered republican and am BEGGING everyone to VOTE BLUE!!!! You’re not voting for a person, you’re voting against a hostile takeover of our country.

Midnight290

Thank you!! Please help turn your fellow Republicans.

KantPaine

Conservatism is a sham and a lie. They don’t want to conserve anything, they want radical change and regression.

EMAW2008

> Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect. Frank Wilhoit

Projection. Each and every time. It has been their strategy all of this time and will continue to be.

Bootscooter305

This makes me sick. These people are traitors and should be treated as such.

inb4ban2

Vote this November as if SCOTUS just gave a convicted felon immunity, and this is your last chance to vote

Misspiggy856

I’ll vote, but even if Biden is re-elected, this is an ongoing issue that he’s gonna have to deal with. The right isn’t just going to stop this Project 2025 movement. And Biden basically already stated he’s not going to do anything and we need to just vote. He needs to fight this and he has no fight in him.

jpla86

It's crazy how Republicans are getting everything they want DURING a Democratic presidency. Roe is dead, Affirmative Action is gone, multiple draconian anti-abortion laws have passed through the country, and SCOTUS pretty much said the President (as long as it's a Republican!) is a king and he can do whatever he wants.

Accomplished_Cap_994

They already got it. The south actually rose again.

Tsk201409

We should have finished Reconstruction instead of letting them off the hook

ph1shstyx

Should have hung Jefferson Davis and every leader in the confederacy as traitors, as defined in the constitution.

zenerat

Honestly it just shows how powerful the Supreme Court is. The senate and house are equally powerful but they are dysfunctional. You only need a simple majority with partisan players to completely screw over the nation. The House will need to start impeaching them.

Listening_Heads

The warnings signs are in plain view for every single American. Even the “I don’t follow politics” crowd is definitely seeing all of this unfold. If America votes for Trump in November then we will have to accept that the US we have known for the last 40 years is gone.

Subculture1000

40 years? Speaking as an outsider, the perception is the US, fundamentally, will be over.

mrchris69

If it comes down to a blood fight against the far right I’m down. I’m not going to live in a world dictated by religion and a few people’s beliefs.

Hey reddit! Project 2025 wants to outright ban pornography. This and this alone should spur you to action. Zip up and go register to vote! YES, NOW! Source: https://static.project2025.org/2025_MandateForLeadership_FOREWORD.pdf Page 5. >Pornography, manifested today in the omnipresent propagation of transgender ideology and sexualization of children, for instance, is not a political Gordian knot inextricably binding up disparate claims about free speech, property rights, sexual liberation, and child welfare. It has no claim to First Amendment protection. Its purveyors are child predators and misogynistic exploiters of women. Their product is as addictive as any illicit drug and as psychologically destructive as any crime. Pornography should be outlawed. The people who produce and distribute it should be imprisoned. Educators and public librarians who purvey it should be classed as registered sex o!enders. And telecommunications and technology firms that facilitate its spread should be shuttered. EDIT: [Register to vote!](https://i.imgur.com/BHSS0Sn.jpeg)

[deleted]

I think this is hypocritical because even MAGA needs pornography. They said they're against it, yet after the wife and kids have gone off, that MAGA man might want to jerk off to whatever in front of his screen. If MAGA can no longer access beautiful naked woman, that would actually be enough for MAGA to turn on Trump and Project 2025. They'll know they made a serious bad choice when the people supported your agenda turned on you.

--moose--

Every vote is essential. Check your voter registration. Make sure you are still registered to vote. And make sure you vote this November [https://vote.gov/](https://vote.gov/)

minkopii

This guy should be arrested. he’s literally saying if we don’t agree with his coup there will be violence.

CountChoculasGhost

A “revolution” where a majority of the populace doesn’t support or back that revolution. What could go wrong? Like maybe this is wishful thinking, but even with the seemingly 50/50 split of the voting public’s support of Trump vs Biden, there is no way the MAJORITY of American people would support this Christo-Fascist takeover, right? If this comes to fruition, I have to imagine there is going to be massive unrest and not just from the “radical left”.

Odd_Seaweed_5985

That's right. Remember, it's NOT a 50/50 split. That's what the propaganda pushers are telling us. The vast majority of Americans are moderate. It's just that with a 2 party system we can only choose between 2 candidates, so whichever is the most extreme is the one that usually loses. So, the moderates vote *against* a candidate, not *for* a candidate.

With a stacked SCOTUS I’m surprised Americans think all they can do is vote in November. After SCOTUS overturned Roe, Chevron, and ruled on Trump immunity, what makes you think they won’t hand Trump the election like they did Bush when Al Gore was running?

Gishra

At that point you grow a spine, ignore the Supreme Court and use all of the powers of the presidency to strike back against them, follow the will of the voters, and don't leave office.

phils_phan78

They will repeat 2000 and hand it to trump. That, as well as I think they'll orchestrate some sort of terror attack around the election.

rhinosaur-

Yeah they can try to do that but we keep forgetting that Biden is sitting POTUS and is above the law. He can overrule anything SCOTUS does. Vote. Please vote.

BgSwtyDnkyBlls420

Biden won’t do that. He announced he will not use his new criminal immunity at all because he doesn’t believe it is right. He said that The Supreme Court just laid the groundwork for a Dictatorship, and then he immediately stated that he respects their authority and will not challenge their decision. Biden doesn’t want to fix anything. He just wants us to vote harder.

essenceofpurity

You have to just love the people on this site who try to defend this. "No republican has endorsed this. "Republicans couldn't get it passed." Etc. This is why it's so important to vote blue at all levels because fascism is literally knocking at the door right now. The republican party is turning into a sort of neoconfederate association of people who want to bring the majority of the population under total control of a few powerful billionaires. It's despicable.

SimonDusan

Assholes like this should be prosecuted for incitement.

Empty_Lemon_3939

Joe, now would be a great time for an official act

Twiyah

How a younger generation who have never experience a period without the internet fucking be dismissive of going back to the 50’s

futanari_kaisa

It's not Project 2025. It's project 1975. The GOP has been spending decades to get their sycophants in position to mold the country to what they want it to be: which is to regress society back to where wealthy white men had all of the power, women were absolutely subservient to them, black people and persons of color were slaves or non existent, and LGBTQ people didn't exist. They've already accomplished most of their goals and once Trump is back in office that'll be it. There won't be a need for elections. Republicans will take power and keep it. The capitalists shaped the country so that they will always be in control, and even after Trump is elected that will remain true. The game was rigged from the start.

grumpyliberal

It will be “bloodless” if the other side concedes. Concede, hell. Your tax dollars pay for this claptrap because Heritage is an “educational” entity. Let’s put this 503c nonsense to bed in the next Congress. If you want to spew nonsense, the public shouldn’t have to underwrite it.

Sasselhoff

Straight up threatening Americans, and I'll bet this isn't more than a blip in the news, to be quickly followed up with "Here's why Biden should step down" (holy hell is *that* astroturfing working overtime on Reddit too...it's quite literally a inundation).

SubterrelProspector

Glad to see this story getting reported so much. They are straight up telling us to sit down and take it and there won't be violence. That tells me there will be violence before this is over. Because there is no way in blue hell that all of us are capitulating to their dark vision of America. Now let's out-vote these lunatics and demoralize them so that we *don't* have to stomp them WWII style. I'm sick of being threatened.

No-Country-41

We're watching this closely in Canada, and my heart sinks evey time I see the US inch closer to tyranny. All of this is deeply concerning and the repercussions of the US becoming a failed state will be felt well beyond the US borders. There is still some hope but now is the time for Democrats to act decisively.

twostepdrew

I’m worried we’re going to be Americans in 10-15 years

seihz02

As an American who was in Canada just a bit ago and talking to our Canadian friends.... I think that is the direction things are going. It's also happening overseas too. America is just the starting point for this disease :(

NeedleworkerChoice89

I mean, that’s terrifying, but at the same time the current President didn’t do great at a debate so I think we should just throw away our nearly 250 year old system of government. Edit: Very much sarcasm. More importantly, whether you like him or not President Biden *is trying* to make things better and has a good job considering the make up of the Congress. If you're someone who so easily abandons someone who has been fighting for you, then why should anyone fight for the rights you feel are important? Further, how can you even say those things are important to you if you just throw up your hands and surrender at the first sign of trouble?

Alediran

Please add the /s tag because some people are dense and will unironically agree.

voyagerdoge

Not impressed by his threat of violence. Most of Trump's SA troopers can't even handle a gun properly.

[deleted]

They said it will be "bloodless if the left allows it". That is both abuser language but also, they already have plans to kill people "on the left". They want to designate trans people as pornographic material and then ban pornographic material, dehumanizing us, making us paraphanelia and liable to be "destroyed on sight". They already are going to attack and kill people. They just want the rest to sit back and wait their turn as they kill all of us. Blood will be spilt and it is their fault, their decision, their betrayal of America. These bloodthirsty fascists will stop at nothing. They speak of morality and yet they have none. They will kill US citizens that look different and live different from them, they will kill anyone they have to.

JonnyBravoII

I did a quick calculation of tax revenue by state with the latest data available (2019). States that voted for Biden contributed 62.8% of all revenue while Trump states sent 37.2%. Their plan is going to come crumbling down very quickly when the people who pay the bills decide they'd rather improve their own states and not waste it on the moochers. I use the word moocher specifically because the people who don't contribute are the ones who consider themselves the "real" Americans. FAFO.

kilravock_music_sws

I hate to say it, but leftists and liberals need to arm themselves and start forming militias and developing plans for defending our friends, families, and communities. Voting is not going to save us from this. I don’t want to be a Revolutionary but I would rather die fighting than submit to a theocracy.

thedoppio

Do some digging. We’re out there, we just don’t advertise. Being loud is the last thing you do before securing an area.

Enabling_Turtle

Get armed, get trained, and practice.

EmmaLouLove

Have you noticed that conservatives talk about American Revolution, Civil War, and still support the guy who wants to be a dictator day one? This is the Republican Party. Voters should focus their attention on conservatives’ Project 2025. If you think conservative justices overturning Roe was bad, the MAGA conservative floodgates are about to open if Trump is sent back to the Oval Office. Trump will consolidate power, demolish the separation of powers, and appoint more conservative justices. As John Oliver said in a great segment he did on project 2025, it will turn the separation of powers into Rock, Paper, Scissors, except Rock will crush Paper and Scissors every time. It’s interesting, and should be horrifying, that Project 2025 starts off its 920 page report with the phrase, cultural Marxism, because it has a dark heritage. “The long march of [cultural Marxism] through our institutions has come to pass.” Project 2025 Cultural Marxism is often used to describe liberals and as an analogy to political correctness. But more often than not, it is now being used by the far right, by antisemites, as code for Jewish conspiracy. Prior to 1933, there was a feeling in Germany that there had been a cultural and moral collapse. This fed the populism of the Nazis. The Nazis pushed out messaging that there was a plot to spread political, communist, and other revolution throughout the Weimar Republic and the West. This idea, building on Mein Kampf, has been pushed forward throughout history and has now ended up in Project 2025, blaming liberals for all of conservatives’ problems. Trump is performative arts with a dangerous authoritarian twist. He is a carnival barker who praises dictators and incites violence. He lied multiple times during the debate, refused to answer questions, defended January 6 rioters, and refused to say he would accept the results of the election. Yes, Biden had a bad debate. But Trump is a danger to our democracy, full stop. Democracy is a Group Project. Vote Democrat down the ballot.

Zocialix

It's not just being used by far-right, [Cultural Marxism](https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Cultural_Marxism) is literrally a modern redressing of the Nazi idea of Cultural Bolshevism (*Kulturbolschewismus)*, which accused accademia, media and the arts being controlled by Communists who were under the influence of: 'international Jewry.' The term first entered mainstream upon Anders Behring Breivik, a Neo-Nazi terrorist shooting people and crying out the term beforehand during a massacre in Norway. It dates back itself to late 90's, but that was the most explicit usage of the term before these ideas began to bleed into the mainstream Conservatism.

Simmery

> Have you noticed that conservatives talk about American Revolution, Civil War, and still support the guy who wants to be a dictator day one? Yes, the people who talk about the second amendment being needed to prevent tyranny **want to install a tyrant**. They were always full of shit.

SnooPies6411

We’re fucked. This is the most hopeless I’ve felt about America in my life.

GearBrain

He's literally depending on you being so depressed and despondent that you don't do anything. They want to win without a fight, because fighting is hard. They don't have the numbers, otherwise they wouldn't be using all these dirty tricks and slow-roll tactics to achieve their goals. Stay informed and don't give into despair. Certainly don't give up without a fight.

guerrerov

Half of these people are on Medicare and the other half can’t touch their toes. I say fucking bring it.

NoDadYouShutUp

This is the most hopeless you've felt about America *so far*

MetaPolyFungiListic

No were not. This is the number one issue now and people will come out, don't lose hope.

anarchyx34

I have yet to see one campaign ad from the DNC about P2025. They should be putting this on blast.

dattru

SCOTUS passed The Enabling Act. Reichstag fire soon

Impossible_Trust30

Reminder that we got to this point because republicans lost their shit after a black man became president. We ignored the disease for far too long until it grew strong enough to do real damage.

thistimelineisweird

Threatening that the next American Revolution will be bloodless "if the left allows it to be" is essentially threatening Civil War. How is he not being brought up on treason charges? I will have to seriously consider closing my business if all of this moves forward. Not because I would have to due to policy, but rather I just don't want to participate in this nightmare of a society anymore.

SOMEONENEW1999

I know a lot of right wing loons personally with their finger on the trigger waiting for Trump to give them their marching orders. Fortunately most of them will gas out the first time they have to run more than 50 feet but it is not a great prospect for this country. So sad these are the people that claim to be “patriots”.

law5097

What are these people so upset about that they're willing to break the law and use violence over?

If people think that they'll be able to keep driving their lifted trucks and drinking coors light in front of their 72" tv after their little revolution, they're in for a rude awakening.
