We offered to pay to have our neighbors trees trimmed and some removed at our expense. They were extremely happy with that option. It was a hazard to our fence and a nuisance for our pool. Win win for both of us honestly.
are you on good terms with neighbor ?
maybe make an offer that you would like to pay to have those trees -cut down and stumps removed. that would solve the problem.
Edit:
my wife just said
>he could move
her words not mine
This argument always gets thrown out there in these threads. Like somehow that tree is more important than someone's property/possession.
Where were you when they were building the house or appt. you live in? Were no trees harmed in the building of your house?
The point is, you build a pool knowing there was a tree right there that was not your tree. And quite candidly the tree poses no hazard to the pool it's just a nuisance having to clean up.
It has nothing to do with the tree being more/less important.
Well, it gets thrown out for a reason. I deal with the same situation, just have to deal with the extra cleaning. It is the same as if you put solar on your roof and a neighbors tree blocks the sun. If it was preexisting you’re screwed. If it was planted after you put your solar in you have legal recourse.
About 7 or 8 years ago, I paid to have three trees cut down from my neighbor's yard. I asked her if I could cut down a fourth that was very young, but she didn't want to. That fourth tree drops a ton of leaves into my pool.
But getting rid of those other three has saved me a lot of headache.
You deal with the problem by either offering to pay for its removal, build a screen cage over your pool, or just get a skimmer bot and empty it regularly.
I saw picture #2 and busted out laughing.
My pool is in range of three 30+ year old live oaks and a half-dozen pine trees.
I have to keep my pool covered in the Spring thanks to catkills or I have to clean the pump impeller (I.e. disassemble the pump) weekly and clean out the skimmers at least 2x per day, as they’re completely full.
Living in a forest definitely has its cons.
I have zero trees and 2 fields on the side of my house with zero trees. The people behind me have 6 huge pine tree's that cover my backyard and pool when it storms or windy.
I would shake my fist at the trees and tell them to keep their junk to themselves.
Trees “or else what”
Screen in the pool and leave the trees.
Build a tiki pergola there with lights. Needles will hit the roof and wash back over the fence when it rains.

My own trees do this to my pool.

You’re going to need a taller wall
Trees will be trees.
Trees will tree.
Trees
Trees doing tree things. My neighbors cottonwood I want to burn to the ground.
Get some skimmer socks and a large leaf canister for the pool.
Who was there first? That tree or your pool?
obliviously the pool.

Tell the tree to leaf.

I have a lot of trees around. These are helpful. [Skimmer socks](https://a.co/d/gccxYMS)
You can cut whatever hangs over your property.
Then clean your pool. It’s nature and believe it or not a lot of people would love the line needle in their path look
First world problems. Be happy that you have a pool with a tree next to it to complain about. Talk to your neighbor.
Good news is the problem isn't year round.
And?

You need to reenact the Texas chainsaw massacre in your yard. Just make the victims those trees.
You need about 5 or 6 good buddies with blowers to blow all the pine needles back to the correct yard
