> This album has been over five years in the making. It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed ... and it was very clear that I wasn't.
Crazy that someone as accomplished and talented as her can still feel like that.
Absolutely bonkers. Racism is sadly a very powerful poison. If a black woman with so much status and power can feel so unwelcome in a space-imagine how a black person without any of that status or power would be treated. Itâs just awful
She performed daddy lessons at CMA awards when lemonade was released and all the country artists were against her inclusion in the performances because she ainât a country artistÂ
I think it's complex. They were 'okay' with Darius Ruckers, but were against Beyonce's inclusion due to her Hip Hop and R&B influences. It'll be interesting how the CMAs and other country assocations treat Post Malone and Lana when they crossover... I know times have changed after BLM and 2016 Trump era, but I don't think they'll get any flack at all and it's time for country to mix in other genres
I know it's not as complex, but I understand why they would be against R&B artists at an awards season where country music is the theme. I'm sure they will feel the same way if a pop singer sing at the CMAs, like Ava Max, although I think her being black accentuated the backlash by 1,000 times
very short back too, saddle sitting past the withers and is on its neck, bey the size of a doll, i dont think my vet would clear this horse for riding lol
it is lol, i like it. it looks like bey was photographed on a set on that saddle and they just plopped it on an ai horse which is unfortunate cause there are plenty of stock photos available of very similar looking horses that could have been used. guess ai was cheaper đ«Ł still gonna listen the hell out of this album
All chaps are assless but what they don't tell you is that you need to wear pants under them or else your inner thighs and ass will be ripped apart from skin to leather contact from the saddle.

I love the Queen but this is all I could think of.
It feels very intentional that there isnât a single star in this image: theyâre cut off on the flag and none on that giddy up getup. (And before anyone says it: yes, B is the only star we need, etc, etc. đ)
Iâm just praying for a Dolly Parton collaboration on this. I know thereâs rumors about Jolene, and I want so badly for them to have recorded something together.
ikr like where even is she.. just a black background? really?? she could've been in a cool red barn in front of vast farmland or something more interesting like that
This would she been a sick cover if she was actually riding the horse. The way they edited her âsittingâ oh this horse is horrible. All that money and this is the best they could come ip with? Come on
The nicest thing I can say is it's a mediocre attempt so far, musically and visually. I feel like I am absolutely being gaslit by everyone acting like it's a cultural phenomena and the best work ever.
I am so obsessed with this woman. Artistically it feels like she can do no wrong at this point. If she put the same amount of work into this as she did into Act I, and it sounds like it might have even been more, this will be a beautiful piece of country music. I am so looking forward to listening and lifting my jaw off the floor again. And hereâs to hoping this finally gets her a LONG DESERVED aoty grammy.
I will miss the Renaissance era though. I never thought something could top Lemonade, but Renaissance did it for me.
I already commented on the reveal in popheads but I legit cannot stop looking at this photo, Iâm obsessed. I hope so badly that this is the cover for the vinyl because she truly canât do better than this đ this album is going to explode my brain
Iâm not Bey-Fluent however arent her concert trends generally inspired by her album covers? Her target audience doesnât seem veryâŠ. Patriotic? Hoping she goes with another color scheme for the other covers because after the silver bedazzled era I donât see this going well.

i am once again asking for her to change it to **Yee-Hawncé**.
That can be added to the feyoncé brand of name
You just yeeâd your last haw.
That would be better than Cowboy Carter.
Good one. xD

**[From BeyoncĂ©'s Instagram:](https://www.instagram.com/p/C4s6Zr7rlwA/)** >Today marks the 10-day countdown until the release of act ii. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of the supporters of TEXAS HOLD âEM and 16 CARRIAGES. I feel honored to be the first Black woman with the number one single on the Hot Country Songs chart. That would not have happened without the outpouring of support from each and every one of you. My hope is that years from now, the mention of an artistâs race, as it relates to releasing genres of music, will be irrelevant. > >This album has been over five years in the making. It was born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomedâŠand it was very clear that I wasnât. But, because of that experience, I did a deeper dive into the history of Country music and studied our rich musical archive. It feels good to see how music can unite so many people around the world, while also amplifying the voices of some of the people who have dedicated so much of their lives educating on our musical history. > >The criticisms I faced when I first entered this genre forced me to propel past the limitations that were put on me. act ii is a result of challenging myself, and taking my time to bend and blend genres together to create this body of work. > >I have a few surprises on the album, and have collaborated with some brilliant artists who I deeply respect. I hope that you can hear my heart and soul, and all the love and passion that I poured into every detail and every sound. > >I focused on this album as a continuation of RENAISSANCEâŠI hope this music is an experience, creating another journey where you can close your eyes, start from the beginning and never stop. > >This ainât a Country album. This is a âBeyonceÌâ album. This is act ii COWBOY CARTER, and I am proud to share it with yâall!
Begging for a The Chicks colab. Shut up and sing part 2 - racist Karen edition
YES!!!!! I could not think of a more bad ass collab. I loved when they had Beyoncé perform daddy lessons with them at the award show. I bet that's what she's referring to as when she felt unwelcome.
It absolutely is. The CMAâs took the video off of their website because it had so many racist comments. Nathalie from the chicks said they wouldnât perform for the CMAâs again, unless BeyoncĂ© asked them to perform with her.
Omfrickinggod, that's so stupid. I hate people. Good for The Chicks on standing by her.
The Chicks know a thing or two about the CMA.
Ugh. Thatâs when you remove the ability to make comments instead of punishing the artist by taking their song down.
Oh theyâre absolutely gonna be on there and I hope theyâre talking hella shit
YESSSSS

![gif](giphy|5aOkqXmuWSdHO) Actual footage of me rn.
I love how she called out the CMA awards in the caption of the post. Get them Bey!!
Can I have a tldr on the cma thing? :)
She performed daddy lessons at CMA awards when lemonade was released and all the country artists were against her inclusion in the performances because she ainât a country artistÂ
Because she isnât a country artist? Câmon now, thatâs not why.
Itâs really not complex.
I know it's not as complex, but I understand why they would be against R&B artists at an awards season where country music is the theme. I'm sure they will feel the same way if a pop singer sing at the CMAs, like Ava Max, although I think her being black accentuated the backlash by 1,000 times
Iâm thinking itâs because she and her fans are of a darker skin toneâŠ
Same Iâm lost lol
Iâll never forget another BeyoncĂ© fan trying to argue with me that they didnât fuck her over. This is BeyoncĂ© lore. The CMAs were trash for what they did to her
This looks gorgeous. But whoever shopped her onto the horse made her about 25% too small. The proportions are really poor
It barely look like she's sitting on it. More like floating slightly in front.
that horse looks funky in general, those front legs are way too short even taking into account the movement
That horse is galloping in the front and trotting in the backâŠand the tack looks AI-generated af đŹ
this might actually be an AI horse now that you mention it lol. or someone combined 3 different horses into one
Yeeeees thank goodness someone else sees it too. How hard is it to use an accurate stock image of a cantering horse in Western tack?
Genuinely the stumpiest horse in the world
If that horse was real with those proportions it would be like a foot shorter at the shoulder than it would be at the hip lol
very short back too, saddle sitting past the withers and is on its neck, bey the size of a doll, i dont think my vet would clear this horse for riding lol
At least it has a nice saddle lmao
it is lol, i like it. it looks like bey was photographed on a set on that saddle and they just plopped it on an ai horse which is unfortunate cause there are plenty of stock photos available of very similar looking horses that could have been used. guess ai was cheaper đ«Ł still gonna listen the hell out of this album
She better not post this on online or the AFP will flag it as altered.
Lmaooooo
Agree. Itâs so badly photoshopped itâs hard to look at imo. This could have been such a cool cover too!
From glass disco horse to steroid taking country horse
Poor RENEIGH got skinnedâŠđ
making an entire album out of pettiness for the cma awards from years ago, virgo queen đ
Love a good spite album
Let me go buy some assless chapsâŠ.
All chaps are assless but what they don't tell you is that you need to wear pants under them or else your inner thighs and ass will be ripped apart from skin to leather contact from the saddle.
Very good information! Thank you!
No worries, that's also why you never ride horses in shorts because your legs will be so chafed and sore by the time you're done.
I did and I'm sad to report I look nothing like Beyoncé
All chaps are assless otherwise they would be pants
I have seen the error in my ways. Like those people that say ATM machine or PIN number.
it's country, it's cunty and i'm ready to hear it
https://preview.redd.it/4tg6aj4qlbpc1.jpeg?width=894&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=790b6a99c23fcfd0467a629ea6ec67e07cbc6da3 I love the Queen but this is all I could think of.
PIE OH MY đ
It feels very intentional that there isnât a single star in this image: theyâre cut off on the flag and none on that giddy up getup. (And before anyone says it: yes, B is the only star we need, etc, etc. đ)

![gif](giphy|nZymwrrw9PjDa)
I'm not really feeling this lol
Iâm really excited for the album but donât care for this photo
Same, itâs distracting to me how she looks like sheâs about to slide off the horseâŠ
Way to photoshopped. Boring. I miss artistic photographs with composition and contrast
ikr like where even is she.. just a black background? really?? she could've been in a cool red barn in front of vast farmland or something more interesting like that
So, one of the traditions that goes on leading up to the Houston Rodeo is trail riding, where groups from all over the area ride their horses right through town to the rodeo parade. One of the most well-known and legendary groups of trail riders is an all-Black ride out of Prairie View, TX. This image, to me, is very reminiscent of a trail rider entering the rodeo arena with the darkness surrounding, the spotlight, the outfit and the flag (the sash is also very Rodeo/County Fair Queen). It would also line up with BeyoncĂ©âs cultural experience of country music growing up in Houston. ETA: If youâve ever seen Selena, thereâs a scene where she enters the Astrodome to perform at the Rodeo in a horse drawn carriage and that is very similar to what Iâm talking about.
I know right
Yeah I donât get it
This would she been a sick cover if she was actually riding the horse. The way they edited her âsittingâ oh this horse is horrible. All that money and this is the best they could come ip with? Come on
![gif](giphy|3o85g31NKO3c48wF7G)
I hate the cowboy Carter sash
Something looks off about this
IâŠmight need to get used to it lol
Iâm trying, SEARCHING, to find something positive to sayâŠ
The nicest thing I can say is it's a mediocre attempt so far, musically and visually. I feel like I am absolutely being gaslit by everyone acting like it's a cultural phenomena and the best work ever.
I feel the same. I knew the downvotes were coming because I said something not glowingly positive about this but so far, I truly do not get it.
At least we haven't been called racist yet. That doesn't happen too much on Reddit but the hive will absolutely label you on IG or FB.
She looks so empty behind the eyes :(
Her eyes have been dead in every promo photo for this. Itâs so weird to me that no one is mentioning this.
her eyes have been dead in pictures for some years now, its very strange
The horse is magnificent
I love this but the proportions feel off?? Her head is so tiny in comparison to the horse
Most album artworks these days are so boring. Beyoncé keeps delivering iconic and unique covers. And it's consistent with Renaissance album artwork.
awful after effects and photoshop job. almost and could be ai.
I hate this
Obsessed but god do I hate that name.
This looks like shit.
I love it? But I really want to see the other covers before I pre-order my album!
Good job, B!
Put this on the Texas state flag.
I am so obsessed with this woman. Artistically it feels like she can do no wrong at this point. Iâm so fucking excited for this CUNTRY album
I LOVE IT
Justice 4 Reneigh
oh this is a MASSIVE serve.
I'm sorry, she is so not the moment anymore.
to *you*
She gotta get a different haircolor, starting to look like the kardashians. But anyways, I still wanna hear the album
Iâm not Bey-Fluent however arent her concert trends generally inspired by her album covers? Her target audience doesnât seem veryâŠ. Patriotic? Hoping she goes with another color scheme for the other covers because after the silver bedazzled era I donât see this going well.
I love it.
Oh, she ate. Giddy up babes.
is this a safe space?
She always finds a way to make da people bow down. So ready for this.
