Yep. This reminded me of that clip of the game of F Marry Kill they tried to play on the red carpet of an MCU avengers film. All the gen Xer and elder Millennials were fighting for their lives to not play. And Tom Holland just answered.
People forget how homophobic the 2000s were. Makes me a little uneasy seeing the kids today who say they wish they were around back then-granted it's mostly because they wish they could've been there to enjoy emo bands and fashion when it was new, which *was* really cool, but as someone who was a kid back then I'm really happy to live in a more tolerant time. Today, you can listen to MCR *and* not get called a f*gg*t for it.
“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a married rockstar in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a partner – I reckon.” – Chris Cooper
Yeah I’m 0% surprised that the dude who dated multiple teenagers threw a tantrum at that question. Luckily my teenage crush Josh Hartnett is cool and thinks Beck is neat lol
I love the answers that are respectful like that! Just "this dude seems cool and handsome". Not hard! All of the women answered so kindly and easily!
Sigh. Another day, another example of toxic masculinity.
Paul dated a 15 year old, but how dare you even ask what man he found attractive.
Also, I was going to say Eric Olsen's response was about as "no homo" as it gets before I saw Paul's weird rant.
I’m fully willing to believe he would have been mad and homophobic about the question. Like, I am not in any way holding this dude up on a pedestal.
HOWEVER.
I truly believe this man was just telling ANYONE in his way to just absolutely fuck off. Just in full curmudgeon honey badger mode.
The worst part of this is at this time, it was more acceptable for him to be dating a teenager than for him to have dated a man. Even now there’s people who fall all over themselves to justify it and make Paul Walker out to be a fallen hero for whatever idiotic reason.
I was unfamiliar with who Eric Olson is, and so I just assumed that he was a gay man saying that he would be open to Michelle Pfeiffer but would need to make her more mannish. 😅
He’s right. Like- this is just objective (I know it’s not objective I am being hyperbolic you nerds). I am probably asexual and more into women than men on top of it but like
Guys look at him. Oh my god. Oh my god???
Oof. Right in the depths of Matt Damon's soul.

“. . . which could mean nothing”
Could you imagine if they came out as romantically involved… Idk if it would be the beginning of the apocalypse or finally bring World Peace… either way I feel it would be such a huge story it would change the world.
25% of Boston’s Irish American male population would spontaneously combust. The reasons would vary, but at least 25% just gone. Dead. Smoking heaps of ash and bone.
The story of how Matt Damon met his wife, whom he's been devotedly married to for a long time now, is absolutely adorable and I would be very sad if they broke up.
Same. He did the most sensible thing a famous person can do and married a civilian. And a single mother at that! I hope they stay together. Ben is, all due respect, a hot mess express.
It reminds me of that post from someone with a Chinese roommate who didn’t speak any English but they managed to bond over translated memes of how Matt and Ben would be together if they weren’t famous. It is apparently a whole thing on the Chinese side of the internet.
I can’t even be mad at him for this bc it’s not like he went on a rant about it, he just doesn’t want to answer any question that anyone asks him ever 😂
My headcanon: Harrison Ford would pick someone really old-school, like Farley Granger old-school.
Or Alfred Molina from "Raiders" because it's Alfred fucking Molina.
Not that anyone should be surprised that the Fast & Furious cast was filled with ignorant meatheads, but it's certainly not a good look when two of the three people who refused to answer the question were main cast members of those films. And not just that they didn't pick a "man crush," but also that they gave long-winded reasoning for why the question was so awful and unfair in the first place.
Also lol at Steve Zahn's response.
For sure. The thing about Jessica Biel is she really does have one of the most athletic female figures in Hollywood and I'm sure in person she is even more stunning. So I totally get having a crush on both of them lol :)
She also somehow has a unique yet classic looking face. I honestly never realized how gorgeous she was until I watched Candy. She somehow still managed to look amazing with that hideous perm and I just cannot understand that level of beauty. Fully agree with Eva's assessment here.
I mean... Some of the men's answers reminded me of that time an interviewer asked the MCU actors to play F×ck, Marry, Kill with only male characters as options and only Tom Holland answered her lmao
We have definitely not moved past these times. Maybe Hollywood men are a bit better, but I can see most regular men answering this way. The number of times I’ve seen this on Reddit, “no homo but Henry Cavill is good looking”
Like bruh, no one thought of your gender or your sexuality when reading that comment! Women almost never answer a question that way.
Paul Walker LMAO! It's like you can see him have an existential crisis outloud in his response. Like the thought thread continued unraveling until at the very end he remembered he was talking to a journalist.
Lmfao @ Michelle Pfeiffer in drag being the campiest possible thing to say. Its like if u asked an already gay man what woman he would like to get with
The toxic masculinity was alive and well. Tyrese, Harrison Ford and Paul Walker made my eyes roll so hard I saw stars. But for the record, Orlando Bloom is correct.
https://preview.redd.it/td4kfry3xk8d1.jpeg?width=450&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c5ea48d385c88be9cc79de6dd8bae357b9a51376
To be fair I’ve seen people ask Harrison Ford pre-approved junket questions about his newest films and he replies the same way. I’m not sure it was the topic, he hates being asked anything at all…
Idk why but the fact that Ben Affleck reluctantly lands on Brad Pitt, who was his ex’s ex-fiancé, is freaking hilarious.
(Gwyneth Paltrow dated Pitt 1994-1997 and then dated Affleck 1997-2000)
And seeing this now is even more funny because in an interview like last year someone asked Gwyneth who was better in bed and she said Brad (though she did qualify the statement with Ben being ‘technically proficient’ or something along those lines.
She said that Ben was “technically excellent,” but that she had a “major chemistry, love of your life” type of experience with Brad. Basically, it was more meaningful with Brad because she loved him more.
It's really funny that as a heterosexual woman, I find myself really attracted to the men who gave great real answers like Orlando Bloom or Chris Cooper, and totally turned off by the ones who seem offended or grossed out by it because they're 'so straight'. Like, don't take yourself so seriously, it's clearly for fun. A little confidence is attractive. I wonder if they realised how insecure it makes them sound.
Also, my answer is immediately Lucy Liu
More women should have been asked. They have the best responses with the least amount of "no homo" -- Alyson Hannigan's is frankly hysterical. She's been thinking about this, she's ready, she's so excited. It's adorable!
The men refusing to answer are just ... pathetic.
Yeah her answer made me go are you sure you’re straight? Because that’s basically how all my non straight friends would have answered in our teens in 2003 too 😂
Jodie wasn’t out then, was she? Angelina might have been out as bi in 2003.
Hmmm, methinks Alyson felt them pinging. Of course, Willow and Tara made a huge impact, so she might have just been more keyed in than the average player.
Gotta appreciate the fellas who give a “straight” (as in actually giving a legit response) answer to the question. Like c’mon. And Paul, plenty of men have hairless bums. We know you saw the og Road House.
Eva Mendes is so fucking cute. I hope her and Ryan Gosling are living their best lives. They are my favorite celebrity couple. Those two cuties deserve each other.
Haha, I think Steve Zahn was purposely trying to bring a far right conservative man's name he doesn't like into a printed story about being gay, which is honestly a 4d chess kinda answer
Benny boy we all know who you really wanted to say . . . which could mean nothing
https://preview.redd.it/gj01mjv3el8d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=371fbf2ded3c2e4835dd5b90ca45fd7375a87b5f

Michelle Pfeiffer in male drag is actually the gayest answer
I’m picturing her in a tux a la Marlene Dietrich and looking respectfully.
https://preview.redd.it/dvvnfiy97m8d1.jpeg?width=486&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=edff2993b39465c5d30348d74df34e7bb0391d16 You’re welcome
The internet really does have everything!
Respectfully 🙏
it’s so hilariously queer and it’s killing me
This is all extremely 2003
I graduated high school in 2003 and the defensiveness of some of those answers is so on brand.
Yep. This reminded me of that clip of the game of F Marry Kill they tried to play on the red carpet of an MCU avengers film. All the gen Xer and elder Millennials were fighting for their lives to not play. And Tom Holland just answered.
“Heheh. Well. Y know.” - Hank Hill/ Gen Xer/ Millenials
It’s truly amazing how far things have come in this regard.
McG!
Calm down, Paul.
And next to him is Chris Cooper talking about the Boss like an eligible bachelor in a 19th century novel. Gotta love it.
Fr. Just MAN UP and answer.
“It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a married rockstar in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a partner – I reckon.” – Chris Cooper
The sincerity with which Chris Cooper answered that question. What a gentleman. Paul, you dead creep, take notes.
“You dead creep” IM HOWLING
His answer was so embarrassing. Not that I expected better from the guy who had a 16 year old girlfriend when he was in his 30s
His answer was like word for word, the answer of any teenage boy I went to high school with in 2008
I had to look up how old he was to give an answer like that. Dude was THIRTY.
You can fully tell which men feel secure in themselves and which of them don’t.
Their asses have no hair after all 😭
![gif](giphy|l41Ye7i203TfEADYs)
Who’s gonna tell him that women can have hairy asses?
that’s why he went for younger women👀
The lad doth protest too much, methinks. No?
The ‘hairless ass’ part is 100% giving the vibe of guys on Grindr who insist on completely hairless twinks
My thoughts exactly 💀 You’ve been accused of nothing my boy, breeeathe
"EWWWWW WHAT!!?? BRO I'M NOT GAY! NO WAY! That sweet muscular ass gotta be immaculate tho..."
Paul dated a 15 year old, but how dare you even ask what man he found attractive. Also, I was going to say Eric Olsen's response was about as "no homo" as it gets before I saw Paul's weird rant.
Tyrese’s is pretty lame too. Called the guy “buddy” and everything lmao.
Then there’s Harrison with the “get out of here!” 😂
Yeah but he never even heard the question. That was just his automatic response.
https://preview.redd.it/yahf3ho6hm8d1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=340b5b4b4d8ca9ddf9a84c6740f8722e1dd4eb22
That would be Harrison's answer no matter what the question was.
He came off as so fragile - I got second hand embarrassment.
Right? Like sheesh, settle down *buddy*
Immediately got the image of Tyrese as the guy at the party who starts acting really weird and aggro when the boys jokingly flirt with each other
I wonder how Eric would feel about a man dressed up like Michelle Pfeiffer 🤔
The worst part of this is at this time, it was more acceptable for him to be dating a teenager than for him to have dated a man. Even now there’s people who fall all over themselves to justify it and make Paul Walker out to be a fallen hero for whatever idiotic reason.
I was unfamiliar with who Eric Olson is, and so I just assumed that he was a gay man saying that he would be open to Michelle Pfeiffer but would need to make her more mannish. 😅
I like how the last line implies that there still might *be* an answer after all that blustering, he's just not gonna say it lol.
Vin Diesel obviously lol
Is it hard to be so right?
Oh there definitely was an answer, he wasn’t ready to admit it to himself yet though.
The nerve of that hissy fit when he was running around with underage girls smh. Pervert.
Didn’t know it was possible to dislike him more
What a cry baby
Orlando Bloom is correct https://i.redd.it/d7is1khhok8d1.gif
My 67 year old Midwestern dad literally told me Saturday that he found Paul Newman more beautiful than any woman 😆
I have follow-up questions.....😆
He’s right. Like- this is just objective (I know it’s not objective I am being hyperbolic you nerds). I am probably asexual and more into women than men on top of it but like Guys look at him. Oh my god. Oh my god???
Yes! 🥵 What a fucking dude, indeed! Orlando has always had great taste in his man-crushes and never been shy about it!

I read that and thought, “Ha, nice try”
Sorry if I'm off-base, but I definitely read this in Jim Downey's voice.
Narrator: Turns out that you can, in fact, go wrong with Pitt.
The only thing I like about this quote is that they didn’t even need to tell us it’s from Ben Affleck. Like this answer is so him
Brad Pitt is stanky
Jeez Tyrese and Paul Walker. Calm tf down.
they were fast to get angry huh. rather quick to get so furious.
Too fast and too furious, one might say
The “dropped soap” cartoon accompanying Ben Affleck’s answer is wild
Right???? I came here to comment on that.
Seriously! It's so fucking bad, even for the the early 2000s.
Ben Affleck's "uh, let's see... Who would you, who would I..." roughly translates to "I probably shouldn't say Matt who else who else"
https://preview.redd.it/xhdqusatdl8d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f6642e136e1ee27b703a4589af935af15631340b “. . . which could mean nothing”

It actually means everything 🤭
It reminds me of that post from someone with a Chinese roommate who didn’t speak any English but they managed to bond over translated memes of how Matt and Ben would be together if they weren’t famous. It is apparently a whole thing on the Chinese side of the internet.
💀 As a part-time ESL teacher, I live for stories like this.
I mean Mindy Kaling literally wrote a play on the topic
I NEED THESE MEMES
He was fighting with himself right there
Lmaooo. With Matt’s face perma tattooed inside Ben’s mind.
Harrison Ford's grumpy ass made me cackle.
I can’t even be mad at him for this bc it’s not like he went on a rant about it, he just doesn’t want to answer any question that anyone asks him ever 😂
An autobiography by Harrison Ford Foreword: Get out of here! The End
The most Harrison Ford answer ever lmao
Yes very on brand lol ![gif](giphy|tZBcqCBADUS1GruH4l|downsized)
I feel like Harrison would have that same answer for the majority of questions asked lol.
Yup. I can't get annoyed at it tbh. Not like Paul fucking Walker, who's happy to date teenagers but flips his lid when asked this question.
https://i.redd.it/oqk3a11pql8d1.gif
He looks way too much like my dad here. wtf.
He’s the only one that gets a pass. Slightly. Mostly bc I do think he’d be a grump about literally any question.
Yup "Mr. Ford, where's the restroom?" "Get out of here!"
I feel like he wouldve had a good answer too, but it would be like James Coburn!
My headcanon: Harrison Ford would pick someone really old-school, like Farley Granger old-school. Or Alfred Molina from "Raiders" because it's Alfred fucking Molina.
Tyrese, bruh 😭😭 He and Paul were probably sitting right next to each other, too 💀
Two guys sitting five feet apart cause they're not gay~
Not that anyone should be surprised that the Fast & Furious cast was filled with ignorant meatheads, but it's certainly not a good look when two of the three people who refused to answer the question were main cast members of those films. I never knew I wanted to be BFFs with Steve Zahn.
I've suspected ever since That Thing You Do.
![gif](giphy|ToMjGpNFyyLnsRqEGS4|downsized)
Steve Zahn is a gem
Thank you! Had to scroll too far for the Zahn love. Great answer. Glad he’s finally getting some love with The White Lotus.
The women: here’s my well thought out respectful answer. The men: ahhh come on man no homo Thank god we have moved passed these times
I love Eva Mendez answer the best. Awkward and real lol.
The “I wanted to hit her” is my favorite part of her answer.
As someone who feels the "cute aggression" thing fairly often with my SO I loved that haha
That’s some next-level beauty if Eva Mendez is like “Damn girl.”
For sure. The thing about Jessica Biel is she really does have one of the most athletic female figures in Hollywood and I'm sure in person she is even more stunning. So I totally get having a crush on both of them lol :)
https://preview.redd.it/2yytkuu1el8d1.jpeg?width=387&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1975fea466699a5aa6ce120c3a5512ae9ed9a7d1

The truest generation gap 😂

Harrison gets a pass, he answers 90% all questions like that When his wife asks him how he‘s doing in the morning, he tells her to get out of his face
Yeah, sounds like he was just being cantankerous to the journalist in general.
i love it LOL, he's just here to fly planes and fictional starships
Coming here to say that. 9 times out of 10, that's his answer to any question.
Yeah honestly I feel like he might not have even heard the question. This has big, someone was waiting outside of the restroom to ask him this vibes.
To be fair I’ve seen people ask Harrison Ford pre-approved junket questions about his newest films and he replies the same way. I’m not sure it was the topic, he hates being asked anything at all…
"In Star Wars episode 5..." Ford: "Oh Jesus, here we go again with his nerd crap."
As someone who is not into men, I’d say Orlando Bloom won this one by a mile. Paul Newman is just that attractive
Harrison has never like to entertain the media with questions that are either personal or not about the movie he is promoting.
I kind of love that they printed the freak out answers too though 😂
Yes! He is one of the most beautiful men to have ever lived.
Idk why but the fact that Ben Affleck reluctantly lands on Brad Pitt, who was his ex’s ex-fiancé, is freaking hilarious. (Gwyneth Paltrow dated Pitt 1994-1997 and then dated Affleck 1997-2000)

She said that Ben was “technically excellent,” but that she had a “major chemistry, love of your life” type of experience with Brad. Basically, it was more meaningful with Brad because she loved him more.
You can tell a lot about a man from how they answer this question.
My answer is Issa Rae
Both great picks. I'm already bisexual, so I don't get to participate here.
Had to look up who Chris cooper was bc I couldn’t tell from the name and pic but he’s 100% right about Springsteen
*immediately asks husband the question*
What did he say?! My husband never skips a beat. Colin Farrell, always.
"Keanu Reeves. He's the full package. And Jensen Ackles *whistles* Woo, yeah. He's hot."
“Ooh, at one point I would have said Brad Pitt, but I believe those days are over now. Pedro pascal I think, he’s hot.”
Great answer! He knows what’s up.
Mine says Henry Cavill lol
I don’t have to ask mine bc he has said many times the only man he would have sex with is Matt Bomer. Can’t blame him there
Chris Cooper sounds like a sweetheart.
And he‘s damn right, the Boss is a fox
Josh Hartnett chose… Beck??
I dunno, before the scientology thing I was 100% on the Beck train for years.
He's left the cult 🙌🏾 He divorced his wife who's still involved with it and from his song "I'm So Free" he seems happy to be out.
It made Josh Hartnett so much cooler in my eyes.
Beck is hot and talented. I’ve had a crush on him since Odelay came out.
I think he interpreted it as "who would be so cool/interesting to hang out with," which says nice things about how he chooses a partner.
“He’s maintained a real honorable presentation of himself” has got to be the classiest way I’ve ever heard anyone call somebody hot.
More women should have been asked. They have the best responses with the least amount of "no homo" -- Alyson Hannigan's is frankly hysterical. She's been thinking about this, she's ready, she's so excited. It's adorable! The men refusing to answer are just ... pathetic.
Jodie Foster was the celeb who made me realized I wasn't straight and Angelina is Angelina, so I am 100% a fan of Alyson's answer.
I've been in love with Jodie for 32 years now and Angelina for 25, so yup!
Gotta appreciate the fellas who give a “straight” (as in actually giving a legit response) answer to the question. Like c’mon. And Paul, plenty of men have hairless bums. We know you saw the og Road House.
This does tell me he probably has a hairy bum though
Isn’t he dead? lol
Oh forgot who he was lol sorry
Eva Mendes is so fucking cute. I hope her and Ryan Gosling are living their best lives. They are my favorite celebrity couple. Those two cuties deserve each other.
I can't tell if Ford was actually interviewed or if that was rib by the staff.
Steve Zahn's answer is totally unhinged, but very 2003.
Unhinged? It’s pretty hilarious for the time?
Shout out to Ron Shelton for basically saying he’s so in love with his wife he can’t fantasize about anyone else
![gif](giphy|3o7TKHuk9SU1FL2ZgI) Just acknowledging a mutual crush between me and Robin Tunney.
Steve Zahn has the weirdest answer, hands down. And Paul Walker and Tyrese seem to be awfully defensive.
Haha, I think Steve Zahn was purposely trying to bring a far right conservative man's name he doesn't like into a printed story about being gay, which is honestly a 4d chess kinda answer
Yikes Paul Walker. He sounded like a real dick.
I like Robin's answer. And omg Nick Stahl, I forgot he existed. My inner teenager perked up for a second.
Fun to see who was and wasn’t secure in their sexuality!!
The Men: no homo The Women: full homo
You can point out the homophobes pretty easily lmao

Benny boy we all know who you really wanted to say . . . which could mean nothing https://preview.redd.it/gj01mjv3el8d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=371fbf2ded3c2e4835dd5b90ca45fd7375a87b5f
Orlando Bloom is just too cool all the time.
Paul Walkers answer gave me the ick.
Steve Zahn’s answer is such a troll
Orlando Bloom mentioned Paul Newman. 😍
The Paul Newman and James Dean flirtatious screen test for East of Eden is soul melting, fuckin fair, Orlando Bloom
