I don't think it ever ends for me. I usually just stop liking a song when I grow out of it. I will also start disliking music if the artist sours my perception of them. I don't listen to Slaughter To Prevail anymore because Alex Terrible is a Nazi. I get separating art from the artist, but sometimes you can't.
I probably have a never ending love for songs because I came before the streaming days. Radio and CDs kept your rotation rather limited. Streaming didn't really take off until I was in high school.

I'm not actually a big streamer. I don't listen to a ton of songs; I don't even listen to music daily. I guess I generally fall in love (or obsession) deeply and it runs its course and then it just ends. Those first few times I listen to a song I love feel absolutely amazing and magical and then it's gone. I'd still probably like them and listen to them from time to time but it's nothing compared to the honeymoon phase.
Ah okay, so I understand that. I had songs that used to give me goosebumps (usually from huge vocals or beautiful instrumentation), but now they just don't have that effect. It's probably because your brain just builds that pattern into your brain so it can anticipate it next time.
Songs where the rhythmic value makes me want to move keeps their effect. Usually funk, R&B, metal, and rap maintain a similar impact to first listen. If I ever feel listening fatigue, I can usually tuck it away for a while and go back to it.
I thought you meant you like a song for a little bit and then you never go back. I feel modern pop has gotten into the business of making disposable music, so people feeling like that wouldn't surprise me.
What’s with the obsession of using the term “solo hits”. Like I get if the artist that is being talked about was the featured artist and not the lead. But refusing to acknowledge an artist’s accomplishment cause their song is not “solo” is stupid.
Probably a better reception. One of the biggest criticisms of the album is it doesn't feel very new for Taylor. Jack and Aaron both working solo with her and the album is still synthy similar to Midnights. If anything it would make Midnights being released after viewed as A LOT worse. One of its biggest saves would be critics would be scared to critique it. When Midnights came out every critic viewed it as gold and some called it her best album, coming from a fan of Taylor and a rare fan of Midnigths that is bullshit. Though I do think TTPD would have some of the same critisms, the main being it feels unedited, at least I'd hope so.
I did think about that because I feel like if the albums switched and she released Midnights after another supposed bad album. 😬 It would not have went over well. And the midnights criticism was harsh enough.
I personally liked Tortured Poets and think it’s much better then people give it credit for especially compared to Midnights(although it could stand to be trimmed down)
But I feel like a lot of the reviews for Tortured Poets felt like they had to be harsh this time so they never gave the album an actual chance and ripped it before actually sitting down with it and listening to it.

I agree that TTPD is better than Midnights. What for me brings the album down is the length. I didn't even listen to the album again until a couple of days later all because I didn't want to listen to 2hs of an album. My reception of the main album has improved but I'm still not a fan of The Anthology aside from a couple of songs, if anything the more I listen the more I started to dislike it.
I find the critic's change of opinion complicated. Simply because this discussion has never properly happened until Taylor. When other albums get released they go through the same treatment the main difference is it's Taylor. Her success has this flaw. More people will check it out and if they don't like it they will talk about it more and if they don't like what they hear why should they be obligated to listen to it again? They could like it if they tried it again but where does that stop? How many times should they have to try out an album till their opinion is valid? Critics though yes! I would love this to be a more normal thing where they give time to a body of work before they sell their opinion.

The production to me is just boring. It doesn't feel like anything is happening other than a piano and sometimes a guitar. I love Folklore because of how full it sounds! The music comes alive! The Anthology just feels like a bunch of B-sides to me. I love The Manuscript and The Black Dog though.
When it came out, I listened to it in the shower before work and my phone has pretty decent volume and I genuinely couldn’t tell the difference between the songs unless she said the title in the song and then it was like “Oh, so it is a new song”

Enough time has passed; TTPD>Midnights/Everbore. Ngl I didn’t expect to enjoy a TS album ever again after Folklore and i’ve been feeling TS/Jack fatigue ever since but TTPD proved it wrong. if the title didn’t include the word Tortured Poets i feel like this album wouldn’t have that much scrutiny from the critics and gp. Idk i feel like this album just clicked with me and I got what Taylor was trying to convey and she got the exact words she wanted to say this time, including that Charlie Puth line.
For the anthology, first half was really good but god near the end was a slog, it’s like she’s regressing to that tryhard Everbore era with her lyrics and songs. Shompoigne Probloms ig.

You can pay another $19.53 to basically halve the mailing time. There's also the urgent travel option, but that's an absolute last resort and can involve having to travel several states away.
If you're renewing (like an actual [renewal by mail](https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/have-passport/renew.html)--if you don't meet those criteria you have to apply as if you're new) you just get to skip the step where you go in person for someone to review your application and send it in. Which can save a lot of time, because you just package your stuff up and drop it in the mail rather than making an appointment weeks out.
TLDR as short as 3 weeks or as long as 12 weeks, depending on luck and on how much you want to pay.

Relax, perhaps… I just think it’s really weird that people online harp on Chris Pratt’s homophobic church (rightfully!) while ignoring that many other celebrities they love are involved with equally harmful megachurches. It’s like this one guy is a scapegoat for a trend that should probably be looked at a bit more critically across the board. Seeing people on popculturechat declaring Bieber a pro-choice king for not forcing Hailey to pop out 6 babies as soon as they got married just irritated me a bit. I don’t know about these dude’s extracurricular activities but I think I can give a good reason why they harp on Pratt but not Bieber.
Bieber isn’t out there doing anything. He released a record in 2020 and 2021 and then has pretty much been missing from the world stage.
That hasn’t happened with Pratt. This year we have him in The Garfield Movie. In that similar time frame, Pratt has been in a Jurassic Park movie, an Amazon TV show, has been Star Lord in like 4 or 5 different things, was in the Mario movie. He is front and center so people feel like they can bash him. Most people with half a brain aren’t going to just randomly throw Bieber’s name out there when he’s at home just doing whatever and living his life out of the eye of the public.

I don't think it ever ends for me. I usually just stop liking a song when I grow out of it. I will also start disliking music if the artist sours my perception of them. I don't listen to Slaughter To Prevail anymore because Alex Terrible is a Nazi. I get separating art from the artist, but sometimes you can't. I probably have a never ending love for songs because I came before the streaming days. Radio and CDs kept your rotation rather limited. Streaming didn't really take off until I was in high school.
That's so great! I'm not actually a big streamer. I don't listen to a ton of songs; I don't even listen to music daily. I guess I generally fall in love (or obsession) deeply and it runs its course and then it just ends. Those first few times I listen to a song I love feel absolutely amazing and magical and then it's gone. I'd still probably like them and listen to them from time to time but it's nothing compared to the honeymoon phase.
Ah okay, so I understand that. I had songs that used to give me goosebumps (usually from huge vocals or beautiful instrumentation), but now they just don't have that effect. It's probably because your brain just builds that pattern into your brain so it can anticipate it next time. Songs where the rhythmic value makes me want to move keeps their effect. Usually funk, R&B, metal, and rap maintain a similar impact to first listen. If I ever feel listening fatigue, I can usually tuck it away for a while and go back to it. I thought you meant you like a song for a little bit and then you never go back. I feel modern pop has gotten into the business of making disposable music, so people feeling like that wouldn't surprise me.
What’s with the obsession of using the term “solo hits”. Like I get if the artist that is being talked about was the featured artist and not the lead. But refusing to acknowledge an artist’s accomplishment cause their song is not “solo” is stupid.

Probably a better reception. One of the biggest criticisms of the album is it doesn't feel very new for Taylor. Jack and Aaron both working solo with her and the album is still synthy similar to Midnights. If anything it would make Midnights being released after viewed as A LOT worse. One of its biggest saves would be critics would be scared to critique it. When Midnights came out every critic viewed it as gold and some called it her best album, coming from a fan of Taylor and a rare fan of Midnigths that is bullshit. Though I do think TTPD would have some of the same critisms, the main being it feels unedited, at least I'd hope so.

I personally liked Tortured Poets and think it’s much better then people give it credit for especially compared to Midnights(although it could stand to be trimmed down) But I feel like a lot of the reviews for Tortured Poets felt like they had to be harsh this time so they never gave the album an actual chance and ripped it before actually sitting down with it and listening to it. which is why you see a lot of critics a few weeks later be like “wait now that we sat with it, it’s a solid B- album” or something like that
I agree that TTPD is better than Midnights. What for me brings the album down is the length. I didn't even listen to the album again until a couple of days later all because I didn't want to listen to 2hs of an album. My reception of the main album has improved but I'm still not a fan of The Anthology aside from a couple of songs, if anything the more I listen the more I started to dislike it. I find the critic's change of opinion complicated. Simply because this discussion has never properly happened until Taylor. When other albums get released they go through the same treatment the main difference is it's Taylor. Her success has this flaw. More people will check it out and if they don't like it they will talk about it more and if they don't like what they hear why should they be obligated to listen to it again? They could like it if they tried it again but where does that stop? How many times should they have to try out an album till their opinion is valid? Critics though yes! I would love this to be a more normal thing where they give time to a body of work before they sell their opinion. These are just my thoughts in general not based on you are your opinions.

It doesn't feel like anything is happening other than a piano and sometimes a guitar. I love Folklore because of how full it sounds! The music comes alive! The Anthology just feels like a bunch of B-sides to me. I love The Manuscript and The Black Dog though.

Ngl I didn’t expect to enjoy a TS album ever again after Folklore and i’ve been feeling TS/Jack fatigue ever since but TTPD proved it wrong. if the title didn’t include the word Tortured Poets i feel like this album wouldn’t have that much scrutiny from the critics and gp. Idk i feel like this album just clicked with me and I got what Taylor was trying to convey and she got the exact words she wanted to say this time, including that Charlie Puth line. For the anthology, first half was really good but god near the end was a slog, it’s like she’s regressing to that tryhard Everbore era with her lyrics and songs. Shompoigne Probloms ig.

You can pay another $19.53 to basically halve the mailing time. There's also the urgent travel option, but that's an absolute last resort and can involve having to travel several states away. If you're renewing (like an actual [renewal by mail](https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/have-passport/renew.html)--if you don't meet those criteria you have to apply as if you're new) you just get to skip the step where you go in person for someone to review your application and send it in. Which can save a lot of time, because you just package your stuff up and drop it in the mail rather than making an appointment weeks out. TLDR as short as 3 weeks or as long as 12 weeks, depending on luck and on how much you want to pay.

Relax, perhaps… I just think it’s really weird that people online harp on Chris Pratt’s homophobic church (rightfully!) while ignoring that many other celebrities they love are involved with equally harmful megachurches. In that similar time frame, Pratt has been in a Jurassic Park movie, an Amazon TV show, has been Star Lord in like 4 or 5 different things, was in the Mario movie. He is front and center so people feel like they can bash him. I need advice on addressing minor unintentional homophobia in the legal documents we send to customers. It is set in stone that we aren’t able to change the language without approval and it currently uses “Husband and Wife” and I think it should be gender neutral since this was made before gay marriage was legal. Should I call it unintentionally exclusionary language or is that not the best way to say it? I’m reaching out to my contact in the legal department.
I think smth like "this language is Not Correct for all customers" is a good way to phrase it if there's a chance of them being...sensitive. Also "husband and wife" is way too wordy when "spouse(s)" exists (which is also part of my beef with people using "he/she" instead of "they" to talk about a hypothetical person whose gender isn't known...you're not only being exclusionary, you're also just being inefficient.)

My mother-in-law was super opinionated at the start of my pregnancy. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact she wasn’t local but what I did was say “ I appreciate your concerns. Why don’t you write this all down on a notebook and we can go over it another time.” And anytime she would start revving up I would just go “ put it in the notebook!” I’m not sure if she actually wrote that stuff down or not, but obviously she forgot about it when the weird emotional moment had passed of her finding out she was going to be a grandparent.
