Yup, a lot of cats will wake up insanely easily, even when they’re in a state of deep sleep, most break-up their sleep schedules as shorter naps as well (rather than having an extended resting period per day like we tend-to)
My cat would take off in full sprint mode while asleep. He'd crash into everything til he woke up. I actually had to line my bedroom walls along the base with old pillows for a few years.
Yes. That's why we use eye caps to keep them closed when embalming a body.

Oh man. I had a cat with an access like that, it can get that way so quick! He had to have a string tied between 2 holes to keep it open so it could drain for a couple of weeks after getting it drained. It's from fighting with other cats, "cat scratch fever" is a very REAL thing. My sister also got it from a cat in the neighborhood after being scratched.
I'm taking a round of amoxicillin right now after I got bitten by a cat in my thumb. It barely broke the skin but it's been a problem for months. I thought it was over but suddenly my thumb swelled up to twice it's normal size. Cat cooties are super nasty. No regrets though I would pet the cat again.
I have the urge to hold my hand out and let it run off my fingers.
My feral had one between the shoulder plates. Rotten oranges and putrefied cheese is how I can describe it.
I hope the universe kindly rewards the person who brought in the cat and paid for his care.
Thank you to that person for being a wonderful human and making me feel good about humans today.
He just showed up in a neighborhood so not sure! Does NOT like others, but the lady is the only one able to pet him so fingers crossed it works out for them!
Awww I hope it works out for the lady sometimes that aggressiveness is just how a cat communicates it's distress. I hope he settles into his new.home.ans realises she saved him and he chills out over time.
Fixed it! Ty for telling me that, I don’t post videos normally so I figured tagging it animal anyone who didn’t like it it wouldn’t get to. I apologize 🤙🏼
They definitely can, I’ve done it multiple times and have adopted them out. It takes patience which unfortunately a lot of people don’t have. That’s sad, people can be cruel. A friend of mine had one cat she took in and despite having so many bb pellets and a broken tail she still wanted people’s attention 🥺 her name is Gooose lol

I'm glad they're like "squeeze it right directly into the trash".
It stunk SO bad we had to 😭 we had to turn all the fans on because other clients started gagging from the smell lol
Holy shit *clients*?! I thought for sure this was some shelter stray intake shit
Nothing like a freshly squeezed... bin, of... cat juice...
Freshly squeezed strawberry milk, you mean 😋
I love cats! I just can’t ever finish a whole one.
the whole time i kept thinking "if you keep juicing him there won't be any more cat left"
Poor guy had NO NECK he literally looked like Ed from 90 day fiancé before we worked on him
The crossover reference I did not expect 😹😹😹
I only know who that is because Reddit loves to hate him so much and my life is better for it
He is truly a shit human. Rejoice in the hate!
Omfg same. Poor cat jesus crust
Not the 90 day reference 💀
not the big ed reference 😭😭 poor guy, i'm so happy y'all were able to take care of him!!
Poor baby! Glad he got the help he needs
Much better 🤙🏼
He's going to feel amazingly better after that.
Dear god, that poor kitty. Glad to hear they are doing better.
Right! He was Fiv+ too :( hopefully he adjusts great to being an inside boy. He got neutered too while we had him under
I always assumed eyes close while being under, is it normal for them to be open?
Yes actually! Cats under sedation have their eyes open because the default state for cat eyes is "open"!

I mean... who hasn't had a "dead to the world" sleeping cat bolt for the kitchen the second they hear the can opener/packaging crinkle?
My cat sometimes used to fall asleep with his eyes open, I have no why and it was fucking creepy.

So interesting!!!
Yep! We use artificial tears to keep their eyes hydrated during treatments
Today I learned!! Fascinating, thank you. Is this the same with humans?!
I would assume so to be honest I never thought of it haha

How wonderful to be able to give kitties this help, knowing how much better it will make them feel
I didn’t get the whole thing because I had to answer the phone 😭
We applaud everything you did get 💕
I'm gonna need some updates on this one. Thanks for your service.
Few weeks old, he’s doing much better! Drains have been removed, stitches come out soon ✌️
I'm so pleased. Poor feral critter. Does he have a home yet? I imagine placing him would be tricky.
Yup the lady who brought him in :)
She must have the patience of a saint.

It’s insane, I’m trying to catch the orange cat out front to bring him in. He looks like he has one forming 😭

Sweet baby!
That poor baby. I hope he is all better.
I have the urge to hold my hand out and let it run off my fingers. My feral had one between the shoulder plates. Rotten oranges and putrefied cheese is how I can describe it.

Large feels like an understatement. Massive, humongous, gargantuan perhaps? Poor kitty, I am glad someone brought him in for treatment!
That poor kitty, omg! Vets are rockstars!!
I knew you could milk a cat
"I've got nipples, Greg, can you milk me?"
Poor cat, must have felt awful having that big abscess. Must have felt great once he woke up though.
I bet it smells so bad in there
It was sooooooooo nasty lol and I have a tough tummy 😂
OP said they had to turn on fans because other clients were gagging.
That poor kitty must've been in pain for so long 😔 what an amazing person, to bring the cat in and pay for its care - even thought it's feral!!!
I hope the universe kindly rewards the person who brought in the cat and paid for his care. Thank you to that person for being a wonderful human and making me feel good about humans today.
Yikes
So happy the little guy got the help he so desperately needed !! I hope he continues to improve 😻😻
HOLY SHIT. And I work in vet med.
Poor kitty cat
“Can you send me that video?” “Nope! It’s mine.”
I am a greedy individual (kidding she got the video)
😹
Oh get out of the way. You haven't finished.
Personal milk pouch
Gimmie a crazy straw immediately
Poor kitton! I’m glad he got that taken care of, poor little muffinhead.
I can’t believe he hadn’t popped it himself sooner?? I’ve never seen an abscess that large on a cat
Aww poor baby. That must have been such a relief <3
Aww baby, I hope he's okay
god poor baby! hope he's feeling much better now
Poor thing
What was the diagnosis? What was that?
When outdoor cats fight with each other it usually ends up with an infection like this. Their teeth and claws are very dirty.
Just one more reason folks should keep their pet cats inside!
Thank you for helping him!
Poor thing, has got to feel much better after the fact
Thankful for the neighbor
Is he like a farm cat or just naturally feral?
He just showed up in a neighborhood so not sure! Does NOT like others, but the lady is the only one able to pet him so fingers crossed it works out for them!
Awww I hope it works out for the lady sometimes that aggressiveness is just how a cat communicates it's distress. I hope he settles into his new.home.ans realises she saved him and he chills out over time.
He did get neutered so we’re hoping it chills him out a lot!
Please tag correctly
Did I not tag it animal?
Oh it needs the spoiler tag
Fixed it! Ty for telling me that, I don’t post videos normally so I figured tagging it animal anyone who didn’t like it it wouldn’t get to. I apologize 🤙🏼
You're good fam
Huh you did... why did it auto play for me. Usually the animal stuff doesn't as I personally don't like it. Sorry about that
Oh no don’t be sorry! I was worried I didn’t tag it properly. But for what it’s worth Kitty is doing much better
Do feral cats adjust to being indoors? It might be because of where I live but most people just shoot them instead of adopting them.
Thank you for taking the time and effort to help these babies.
Yep! A good friend of mine runs a rescue specializing in ferals and says that almost all of them are able to be socialized into indoor cats.
Poor baby. I hope he's doing better now.
