90* V6 bellhousing. Will attach to most Chevies if you can manage to squeeze them in there. Personally the supercharged 3.8s are my favorite and don't take much work. But a ls4 5.3 from a fwd sedan will also bolt up to the trans.
Ls4 “bolt up”. Yeaaaa but then there’s the issue of the starter in the oil pan, engine mounts, a 35 year old trans taking 3x the hp it was designed too. But yea, she bolts right up.
You can really tell the people that know 0.0.
“This one time my dads friends uncle fiero killed him while he slept and burnt down his house”
I’ve had one for 27 years, they have their quirks like any other car.
[Here ya go man!](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7MvJcb2I6mYLHlI7eyPZ9JHE2Znstm0y) Complete restoration of a Fiero. Great series! I say go for it.
Could be cool. But in all seriousness, money and time pit. If ya wanted a rear engine reliable and easy to work on car, get an old beetle, rail, or baja.
They looked cool in their time but now they just a pile of poor quality scrap. No disrespect to those with enough disposable income to dump into one, just fact.
My little sister had one and I did a lot of work to it. The electrical system in it is garbage. It’s routed in a VERY unsafe way inside the engine bay as well. The exhaust system doesn’t vent heat well at all and the electrical harness sits right above it. Right above the electrical harness, the gas line. You’re lucky if the exhaust melts the main harness in such a way as to disable the motor altogether. Step one, reroute the harness. Step two, add in heat shielding for the exhaust manifold and deflect it away from that side of the engine bay. Also, keep in mind that the gas tank is plastic and sits directly in between the passenger and driver. Outside of the obvious fiery death flaws with the car, it handles like its on rails and it has some decent acceleration. It also sits so low to the ground that it’s an absolute blast to drive. Basically a go-cart. I’d own one in a second, but I’d NEVER put my kids in one.
I had so much fun in mine. Was swapped with supercharged 3.8 I believe and I regret getting rid of it. Thing ripped and was so fun to do huge smokey roll-outs and doughnuts. It did not like speed bumps at all and once teeter tottered on one when my friend drove it drunk. Most things fun cost money, better throwing money at this than a piece of shit like a boat.
Yes.
This is the way
The fiero is def one of the cars of all time.
I wanted one so bad when I was 15. I had a giant poster of the yellow one in my bedroom.

Well yeah... Thats why a 3.8 supercharged is nothing to sneeze about, much easier fitment. Buuuuut... LS baaaaaby..
Yes. 3.8 from a front wheel drive, turn it around. You’re good
pit *for* gold?
And here I was thinking I was being creative
Why not both?
LS swap it
The correct answer.
Always is.
Depends on skill level and aspirations. I wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole but hey, you do you.
P P P P POP UP UP AND DOWN HEADLIGHTS
POP POP UP UP AND DOWN HEADLIGHTS
WHAAAT
MO PAWA!
BIG BEAUTIFUL BUFF HORSES
Mid engine ✅ Unreliable ✅ Catches fire ✅ It’s basically a Ferrari👍
Fierrari
My wife had one. I put it into a guard rail one night on the first light dusting of snow we had and I'm still hearing about it 30 years later.

It’s only gonna be a pot of gold if you put a bunch of money in it. Otherwise it’ll still be a shitbucket.
You just described every project car ever.
As a true shitbucket connoisseur, I speak from decades of experience.
Gen 1s are spooky because of their legacy but fieros are pretty sick
Pit of gold! Do right by it!
I say put a nice 3800 in there or a GM 5.3 L V8
As long as the chassis isn't rusted out lots of fun!
Nice ride Banger man.
Gold 100%

Love that series, great motivation to continue….
Park it at the and of a rainbow
It is technically in this pic….
I didn't see that until you pointed it out. Nowwwww I get it
Port o' potty
Believe it or not, a j30 or j35 is in the future….
Costly pot o gold
Half the fun of a MR2, twice the engine fires.
Buy it then buy five more cause fiero
A great base for a fake Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, or something wilder. Or build it into a sandrail.
By the comments I wonder if anyone sees the rainbow…..
Ah, hence the title lol. Good one, wouldn’t have caught it
Friends dad had one new was on 3rd engine and 1st set of tires when he traded it in. I wouldn't take it free but you are free to do whatever you want.
Buy it then scrap it.
Wasn’t even a good car new. Don’t do it.
It is a rolling bomb
Yes
Pot o’ pit
Fingerprints Workshop on YouTube did a restoration on one. It’s a great watch https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7MvJcb2I6mYLHlI7eyPZ9JHE2Znstm0y
Make it electric! Probably less of a fire hazard!

I'm surprised you found one, i thought they all got butchered up for kit cars.
Drop a k24 like that YT guy
