Less than 2 weeks is far from long enough. Give it another 6-8 before you decide if it's for you or not. Unless you have severe side effects of course.

Prozac has helped my anxiety a lot and I started last month. It may not be for you. Tell your doctor you need something stronger for your anxiety. Should be able to change your meds to something that works

Ask your dentist if a sleep guard might help your jaw tension. It helped alot for me.

I've done well with Prozac at 20 mg. It's not typical to see full effect for several weeks. Some prescribers prefer a slower titration and staying at 20 mg for some time to see response. There is a fairly uncommon practice of cranking antidepressants early in hopes of providing more "antidepression" several weeks in and improving outcomes, but some evidence believes this is unfounded. I've heard some will do this if you were on higher doses of another agent and you're switching, but I'm really not sure about that. SSRI-induced jaw tension is quite rare and may be more from the dose and initial anxiety and may be resolved with reduced dose and add-on medications, such as buspirone, for example, which is also an effective add-on for anxiety. Also, many will prescribe as-needed anxiety medication for the first month or so to mitigate anxiety (that could temporarily be worsened by the SSRI) till the SSRI starts to take a fuller effect. Of course, talk to your doctor and they can readily help you out.

give it some more time :) obviously if you’re starting to have scary/unwanted thoughts that you just can’t shake, talk to your doctor. most SSRI’s take time, and i’ve heard it gets a little worse before getting vastly better.

I’ve been on it for about 4 months now and I’m just starting to feel better. For the longest time I was still having really bad panic attacks and rough nights but my doctor gave my hydroxyzine to take as needed and now I don’t really need it. I’m able to sleep and feel great.
