If the disc is not the issue then it might be the laser unit. Try flipping the psx on its back to see if the disc boots. If so, then you’ll need replace the laser unit.
The early psx’s had a production flaw that causes the arm of the laser unit to wear from heat. Frequent, long play sessions would eventually cause the unit to fail.
try put some oil on the disc drive tracks so it moves better
