I’m real late to the riot grrl party, so lately I’ve been on a huge kick with bands like Bikini Kill, The Gits, Mannequin Pussy, Le Tigre, Destroy Boys
Destroy boys have publicly requested that they not be categorized as riot grrrl and i don’t think they fit the genre, so maybe exempt them from riot grrrl in the future. I’d recommend checking out The Oozes, Bratmobile, Slutever, and Mommy and the Long Legs too! Dazey and the Scouts is riot grrrl adjacent imo
Love both those bands so much.
If you haven't been able to scratch that Drug Church itch, I strongly recommend checking out the band Squint and their album Feel It All Wash Away.
Sooo obviously influenced by Drug Church, but they really nail the execution.
I been tripping out on The Creeps - Eulogies album it’s so good almost perfect punk rock the melodies the vocal the production every track is amazing !! surprised this band is little known.
Also Home Front There new album Games of Power is some of the best post punk I have heard in a while.

This is what I was listening to when I read your comment. What do you think?
Say She She is very listenable. You don't really have to "like" it before your foot starts tapping or your head nodding.
Electric Chair
Rat-Nip
Warthog
And most importantly, Canal Irreal. The black & blue cover (S/T) album changed my life. I’ve been hunting for punk rock for 30 years and have never heard anything like it. It’s Martin from Los Crudos newer band, but every member is remarkable.
Some that I've discovered these last few months
[The Ergs!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJjA3sa3--E)
[Didjits](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xSRbk0HH_M)
[The Friday Prophets](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHxMf064zGk)
[The Eyeliners](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YxCCQH7eoDo)
[Koffin Kats](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMHuGEzzIp4)
And then not punk but I've been loving a band called [The Snares](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAs_qLd_CwY)
Sick Thoughts. Drew Owen is a treasure. His last couple of releases have been exceptionally good - punk mixed with a bit of classic metal, black metal, hardcore, and a pinch of power pop. Great hooks, excellent guitar playing and musicianship in general, and a great knack for songwriting.
It would be unfair to Drew to call him the next Jay Reatard… but he’s miles ahead of anyone else as far as forging such an identity within the genre or related ones.
Also digging TeeVee Repairman lately.
Uranium Club just came out with a new album. The Scanners just released one. The Gobs rock. Cherry Cheeks have been steadily releasing good music. I recently went through all the Charles Bukowski books read by Christian Baskous. Start with Ham on Rye. Charger needs to come out with their sophomore release. That Pasadena Napalm Division album kicks ass. They need to release a second album. E-40 put out a new album. Better fire up that broccoli before you listen!
The Refusors... the kings of first wave Seattle punk (tied with THE LEWD)
and a band from San Bernardino (the Inland Empire) called THE REACTORS. They had 1 EP (The Meltdown) and 1 LP (World War 4) and their singer Dash was one hell of a punk rock girl.
Kind of cheating but I have seen [Dead Bob](https://deadbob.ca) play a few times already and they only have [one album out](https://deadbob.bandcamp.com/album/life-like), released last year.

Just saw [Normal Weirds](https://normalweirds.bandcamp.com/album/same-difference) in SF a few days ago and got their CD, been digging it. They sound reminiscent of several bands I like, without sounding derivative. I hear elements of Christian Death, Rudimentary Peni, Dr. Know, to name a few.
I loved discovering Single Mothers during their demo and 7" EP phase.
I haven't enjoyed the newer stuff but that 7" is just perfect.
I will always remember the tiny crowd of 50 telling at them for an encore, and they answered back "that was all the songs, that's it we don't have more" and replaying a song anyways.
